"well when i didn't have to worry about where i was going to get my food... and my parents took care of me. it was the best." Lilly said as she walked beside him. "i could sit at home and play games and play with my friends." she sighed "but now it is all about looking for money to buy food and where to pitch a tent at night.." she mumbled the last part. then smiled. "but don't worry about me, im one tough cookie!"

"How long have you lived like that?" He asked,Hiroki had been alone for about 5 years now,the anniversary of his parent's death was about 3 months away. He sighed and thought in his mind,i miss you guys

"well my parents abandoned me a few weeks after the explosion. then i wandered to this city. we lived pretty close to where the chemicals leaked" Lilly said after thinking for a second. "but i don't blame them... it wasn't easy to take care of 3 kids..." she nodded thinking of her brother and sister.

"yeah,one sec ok?" He said and he walked into a store that had a bathroom. He closed the door behind him and made sure no one was looking,he took a needle out of his pocket and injected it into his arm,just as he did about nine hours ago. Reliefe and comfort overflowed in his system,he stood tall and smiled,"ah,much better. i'll never tell her,it would make her worry or frightened." He said acknowledging his infection. He stepped out of the bathroom and saw Lilly again,he waved at her through all of the people in the crowd.

Beatrix looked up out of her book,the two people she saw,gpne npw,she sighed and looked at all the other people walking around now. She tok another bite out of her chocolate bar and smiled,"Chocolate is so good." She said to herself, wishing she had someone to talk to or walk with. She only had her books. "Well you guys arent really someone to talk to or walk with." She said thinking about her parents. She smiled and closed her book. "I think ill walk now,i might tire my eyes too much by reading so much small fonts." She said and she packed her book and held her candy. She put the pack on her back and started heading toward a group of shops that looked kind of cool. She smiled at some people as they walked by,talking and laughing. Beatrix only hid her lonliness and sadness. She had a dark side of her heart with guilt and sadness but she kept it lit with the rest of her life.

Lilly looked throught the crowd and saw Hiroki she smiled and tried to push throught the crowd to get to him but couldn't "hey people move!" she said as she got through finally. "uhg people are so mean sometimes.." she looked over her shoulder at all of them "mindless fools.."

"Yeah,it makes me think...why?" He said and he walked. why do people just stand there and get in other people's way? Hiroki thought. "Where to?" He said. He didnt want to leave her because he was worried about her,she's only ten and she cant really protect herself probably. So he decided when it was safe with not many people around to let her be.

Lilly sighed. "they do it because it is human nature" she said quietly. she took the money he gave her out again. "hmm you aren't rich are you?" she asked. "i mean that not too many people would give a ten year old who lives on the streets money." she looked through nearby store windows to see if anything good was there

Hiroki looked at her,"not really,why?" He asked. He didnt care if he had money or not,if he had a shortage he could just apply for a job somewhere. He just had to hide his wings from people and it would be quite alright. "Dont worry about the money i gave you ok?" He said with a smile.

Beatrix walked into some shops and left them. She walked towards a larger group of people. She then saw Hiroki and tried hiding. She followed them as they walked and she pretended like nothing was wrong. She hoped he wouldnt notice her being there since he probably knew her presence. Maybe she could she could get an answer why she couldn't read his mind or how he seems familiar.

(ahk i cant think of.. oh wait!!! i got it!)
"okay" Lilly noded as they walked out into the street. she smiled until a wave(lol) of people came running down the street, they where running from one of the mosters that had somehow gotten into the city. He was mutated and was missing an arm. The crowd of people ran right into them pulling Lilly along. "HIroki!" she called. She tried to stop, but when she did, she was Knocked to the ground. people ran past her left and right and a few people tripped over her.
(yay did it!)

"Lilly! are you okay?!" Hiroki said running after Lilly. He tried avoiding some people but he fell too. He got up and reached Lilly. He looked behind him and took her hand and ran with some of the people. He found his way through the streets and dodged some people. He kept a good grip on Lilly's hand so she wouldnt trip again. The monster was right behind them,he tried running faster but it was no use.

"thanks" Lilly said as he helped her up. as they ran through the allyways she struggled to keep up with him "i can't run that fast!" she said as she tried to keep up when the monster got close. It took a swing at her but narrowly missed her. "okay maby i can!" she exclaimed as she caught up to Hiroki " what are we going to do?" she asked as they made a wrong turn and entered a dead end.
(mwahaha praise praise me! Lol)

Hiroki backed up as the monster studied them slowly. It seemed to taunt them as they had nowhere to go. He held Lilly and said,"Hold on tight." He snapped out his wings and jumped up,he held Lilly as he flew. He didn't expect her to not be scared,but it was okay if she wasn't. He passed some buildings and stopped on top of one,he slowly let her down from his height. "Your not hurt are you?" He said. He found himself very worried now,his heart was racing fast now. Normally he would've been calm about things but now all he focused on was his and Lilly's survival. He got on his knees and looked down at the town. He was breathing heavily,he didn't want to act like this in front of Lilly.
[I PRAISE THEE I PRAISE THREE! *bows up and down*]

Lilly laughed as they flew. "i forgot you could fly!" when tey ladnded and she was on the roof she shook her head. no not at all!" she looked over the town too. "that was fun! exept for the whole being chased by a monster thing.... how'd he get here anyway?" she did notcie Hiroki's heavy breahng but didn't need to ask. she reached around the back of her neck to put her headphones back on. she thought they fell and caught on her neck back when she fell. Suddenly she started to freak out "oh no... my headphones!" she turned to search the roof." no! those where the only thing i had left of my family!" she franticly searched the building "i must have dropped them when i fell!"
(mwa ha ha ha ha! am i smart or what?)
