Mimice xChozenx I saw the foreshortening, it's a good tut. Thing is I look at tutorials all the time and it doesn't seem to stick. I'm like "Oh yeah, cool I can so do that." and then it's one big frustrating mess when I try to apply it to different poses. I need to practice more. GUH I LOVE MARVEL AND DC~ (comic nerd) That's a good idea, thanks. 8D I can't really see it in my head with the flour thing, I keep seeing very cartoonish forms. I'm looking forward to those pictures. Lawlz, I can't get J breakdancing outta my head. "Break it down J!" this is the flour sack study i did in my class, and my first drawings appling it to my drawings, i have more but i need to darken the lines so they are scanable, but this will give you an idea of what i mean: Flour sack studyapplying the studyOhh Well that sure puts things in perspective...HAHA*nudge nudge* 8D I crack myself up. I'll try this out in a bit and see what I come up with, thanks~

Alright, cool. I haven't had much of a chance to work with it as I'm working on my portfolio and it's kicking my behind.
I figured I'd mention that I'm having a hard time working with acrylic paint and oil pastels. D:; Any tips on that, if anyone works with them, would be crazy awesome. I went back to trying out charcoal and it came out better than I thought. I haven't drawn seriously on paper since I was like 14 so...yeah.

with dealing with many different medias i find it key to have an understudy. i will tell you this, i have messed up many drawing cuase i didn't know how to use the media i was working with, and with such of a event. you will need to give it your most focus to get the best outcome. i find that drawing on the computer and on paper are two totally different beast, both with pros and cons.
Im not a big painter, becuase i find i don't have rooms for it, and the thing is that you will need (one of those things that stand your paper upright, i can't spell it), or on a table with good lighting. with acrylic paints the best i know about it, that is easy to work with but it doesn't blend well once applyed to the paper and you will need water to control opacity. oil paints are highly used for its lovely blending quailties and editing abilites. But when you want to dry it and peserve the image you will need to apply somthing to it after it actually drys.

They are completely different. Dx; I have some good digital art to make up for my awesomely bad paper skillage so it's all good in the hood...erm..portfolio.
Easel? I used to have a good drawing table but that's gone now....*sigh* I'll have to go the ghetto way. Hmm...I guess I need to work on the opacity bit some more. I either add too much water or too little and all it creates is a non-artistic mess. My shaky hands are what ruin it though. Sweeping motions make wave edges instead of the graceful arcs.
I'm not using oil paints...those don't dry for ages and the smell is horrific. The oil pastels are the crayons/sticks.

:B I'm still working on it. Procrastination's killing me.
I have 1 good charcoal piece, 2 unfinished pieces to be painted(might not enter), 2 sketches to enter, a boatload of digital art to choose from and new digital art I'm still thinking over.

Rezseni Yay~ |: I'm drawing male backs and butts. It's not going so fantastically. i don't know, im not into drawing butts as much, but i think you just need to put in the minor details into the back i.e; shouldr blades, line that represents the crease in your back, butt crack if its showing. stuff like that, there isn't much to a back

Lol I say drawing but I guess I mean digital painting? You do have a point with the details. I need to work on emphasizing them.
