xX Light Hikaru Mirari Xx

The sadness on the face will probably be gone tomorrow...
When did my eyes become dead?

Light took the seat, and let out a breath. This guy was awfully friendly for just having met Light, and not knowing a thing about him. But...mabey Light was just overly defenive.

"Mirari...Mirari Hikaru Light. I'm from Nagasaki. And my story? Well...nothing in particular. Just life. Lived it, at home, school, and with various people called friends." He said with a slight shrug. "Soho huh? Never been there...What about your 'story'?" He watched the other, his uneven breathing, yet it being in such a way that it seemed natural.

An obvious smoker. He thought to himself. And his thoughts were confirmed as the other offered one. "Sure. But this isn't tense." He said, waiting for the other to pull out one, as he reached into a pocket and pulled out a lighter. Though, he carried a lighter for a different purpose rather than smoking. It was silver; american made, with a dragon engraved on the front. On the bottom it held a name, though was written in chinese characters, so it was doubtful that anyone there would be able to read it. Not that he ever let anyone else touch it. So it was doubtful that anyone would even see the characters.

Zakk smiled a little bit and thought about the male's question. His story? Surely he had one, but he didn't want to go into much detail. He had a family and everything, and a few people he called friends but...not much that was truly eventful. He jumped a little bit in his mind, realizing that he would most likely die soon and without leaving any sort of mark on society. He just shrugged a little bit and grunted, shaking his head.

"Same, actually. Kinda depressing actually. Nothing really has happened in life to make it that exciting." He laughed a little bit and then pulled another cigarette from his sock, thinking quickly before handing it to the boy with a smile. "Here you go." His eyes were now fixated on the ornate lighter that the boy had just produced out of his pocket. It glinted in the limited sunlight they got from these tinted windows. He looked at the elaborate design of the dragon, and saw how well struck it was, and then he stopped himself from reaching out and running a finger against it's smooth-looking surface.

He smiled a little bit and then rubbed his glasses as well as his eyes, not believe the perfection in the lighter in front of him. "Very nice lighter...Light. Do you mind if I call you light?" He smiled softly and then reached into his other pocket, pulling out a match. "This is all I have to start fires." He laughed a little bit and then thought for a moment. 'I have six cigarettes left....'

>> [CLOSING TIME]
> [ one last call....whiskey or beer]

User ImageShe looked up and saw a boy.

He was rather handsome. He had brown hair and fair skin. He was muscled but not overly sculpted. He had peculiar hair, but what was new in this new city? She moved her things so he could sit next to her. When he started talking, she couldn’t help but listen, quietly moved by how well he could string words together. She didn’t let this show, but was a good girl and let him go on. When he introduced himself, Kome was a little at a loss for words. However, she contained her confusion and held out her hand. “Hi, I’m Kome Tetsuko. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” She said kindly, and smiled back at him.

After they shook hands, she looked back at the group all gabbing about smoking cigarettes and being ‘cool’ for a teenager. Kome never really liked smoke. She was raised in a house that smelt like incense and probably her father’s cigars but she was never a fan of it. She looked back at Hero and her smile returned. “They are an …interesting bunch. However, I think it is smarter to judge them individually rather than as a group. What 's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” She looked at him, and smiled. Although she was not as skilled with books as her friends were, she certainly knew and loved her Shakespeare. She pulled out a juice box with an chibi orange on the front. “Would you like one?” She asked, her quiet voice a tad more relaxed now that the introductions had been done. Ms. Tetsuko was never good at that. When he would or would not take one, she then pulled out a small box of pocky. She looked at him, and held it out. They were chocolate, and there was only two left. (When she is anxious or nervous, the pocky help keep her cool; there used to be about 10 in the box). “You can have the last two if you’d like.” Kome said, offering a friendly gesture to a new friend.

Maybe there was some hope for this drawn out vacation/trip.

So where are you from?” She asked, ignoring where they were and what everyone else was doing. Kome noticed he wasn’t exactly like the other kids. However, she did notice how elegant he acted and how much he restrained from wandering his eyes. She respected that in this kid. What really surprised her was the fact that she was actually being a little girly. Ever since she was little, her brothers would always make fun of her dolls and pink; so, at a young age she abandoned that for a more boyish outlook on things. As she grew up, she grew better at what her own brothers called their field of excellence. She always enjoyed a good rough and tumble with her brothers, and it was even funnier when they were the defeated one. It’s a boy’s world, sometimes you have to get dirty to be clean.

While she waited for his reply, she curled up on the seat, with her knees hugged up to her chest, and her arms wrapped around them. She leaned her head on her knees and watched him as the hum and rumble of the bus lulled her like it usually did. When he would reply, the words would pour into her ears, and she would only smile. She couldn’t help but notice that he looked sort of like those rock stars she had seen on her parent’s TV in their bedroom. (It was the only source of tv in the house)

However, the thought of such homeliness reminded her that she was so far away from her bed which she now realized she had forgotten to make.

"That's my name isn't it?" He said with a slight smirk playing over his lips. "And there's no reason to be depressed at having a boring life. Life is just life after all, no body gets out of it alive anyways." He chuckled softly at the bad joke. But he had always thought that statement funny.

"That won't due," He said, flicking open the lighter and putting the end of the cigarette to the flame before he brought it to his lips. He offered the lighter's flame, "You want to use it?" He offered, still holding it out as he held the cigarette with the other hand, drawing in the smoke between his lips.

Everyone, almost, on this bus seemed to be smoking. So he didn't mind. He was surprised that the bus driver didn't do anything about it. But it was better that way. He hated adults that messed with them, trying to make them 'submit' to their 'authority' or whatever. They weren't puppets for their use.

Even though they seemed to think that they were.

he looked to her with his calm eyes as she spoke the words of Shakespeare a slight smile on his face as he thought about her comment before he turned to sit sideways sop he could face her better as they road. "A line spoken from the lips of Juliet. Hamlet was more of my kind of guy." he smiled as he looked down at the juice she offered him with a smile. "No thankyou. I would hate to take away from your stash seeing as we don't know what we will be eating at this place." he smiled as he looked back towards the others in the bus. "And I did not mean to judge them as a group, I just feel that they are all...cut from the same cloth if it were. Different threads with close to the same origins." he said softly as he shifted slightly.

He looked down to the pocky and smiled seeing as she said the last two he shook his head softly as he looked to her again. She held herself differently then the other girls he had talked to. She did not seem to be the kind of girl that he would see jumping around at one of his shows. He liked that about her she was different, something hard to come by in their country, her hands were not soft to the touch either...they were real.

"I was born in Kyoto, to a family who lives for music." he smiled as he made small talk with her figuring there was no harm in telling her about his family to keep things going between them. "My mother sings and my father plays the Piano for her. I took after them I play a little piano but the guitar mostly." he said leaving out the fact that he was part of a band not wanting her to like talking to him because of that, he wanted to see what girls thought about him when they did not think he could make it big. "So where are you from? I noticed you came from the train station." his voice calm as he shifted to sit a bit closer to her so she would not have to speak any louder then she would want to. As he made a few mental notes, mostly that she seemed to like sweet things.

The way I see it, if you want a rainbow, ______
you gotta put up with the rain.

Rei looked over and noticed the small, barely noticeable pinkness that reached Tsubaki's cheeks. Rei couldn't help but smirk a little bit. It wasn't that Rei wasn't exactly interested in relationships. It wasn't like she didn't like boys or anything, it was just relationships were such a hassle. Her grandparents told her she just hadn't found the 'right' guy yet. Well, where the heck was this 'right' guy anyway? Guys were boring anyway. She was surrounded by them all the time. Girls weren't any better either. They were always overly dramatic and sensitive so it's hard to be straight forward with them without causing a ruckus.

"Hai, hai just trying to have some fun," Rei replied with a small pout.

This bus ride was so boring. She sat backwards in her seat and looked up to Judoh and Tsubaki. In a way she wished that the boy would start a fight. If not with her then with Tsubaki. At least that way there would something more interesting happening than just ...this. She tried finding something interesting. Her azure eyes scanned Tsubaki. She had amber colored hair that reached a little past her shoulders. She seemed strong enough to defend herself if the time came. Though even she had to admit that Judoh looked a bit hard to beat. He was just some colossal lug. If he moved his body around the entire bus would probably tip over. Maybe if she walked up to him and pushed him down the bus would fall over. A smile appeared on her face at the thought. That would be more interesting than what was going on now.

Rei watched as Tsubaki apologized. Apologizing; something Rei hated doing the most. It was admitting that they did something wrong. Rei was just stubborn and a tad aggressive. She didn't mind messing with people because in her perspective it was counted as fun. Rei snapped out of her thoughts and continued to watch Judoh and Tsubaki. She noticed their height difference. Well, it was obvious by now Rei was the shortest. She was petite, portraying almost a small doll. No matter, she had speed due to her size and from training she knew how to get power. She had trained vigorously to get over the point that she was small. After all, the bigger they are the harder they fall.

Turning back to Tsubaki, she noticed her stance. Rei noticed her bracing herself. If anything were to happen Tsubaki would be able to act. A grin appeared on her face. Maybe there will be some action after all! Quickly, Rei turned around to see if the teacher noticed anything. Nope. He was still holding her wooden katana. An annoyed glare was sent his direction before she turned back around. When Rei shifted her glance back to the situation, she couldn't help but noticed Tsubaki staring at Judoh's chest. Blinking blankly, Rei averted her gaze to his chest too. Was there something interesting about it? If there was, she didn't see it. With a bored look, Rei turned back only to see Tsubaki staring into Judoh's eyes now. Gr, how did she find something interesting to do when she herself couldn't?

Another huff escaped Rei's rosy lips. She looked into Judoh's eyes but with a skeptical look. Nope, nothing interesting there. He seemed like anything to her but a druggie. The box of ciggerettes was visible in his shirt pocket. 'What the heck! The teacher takes my katana but not his cancer sticks? Hmph,' Rei thought to herself in an annoyed manner. Did they just have something against it? It was important to her but apparently the teachers didn't care. She watched her grandfather work endlessly on it. Again, the teachers didn't care. 'Is anything going to happen soon?' she wondered. Maybe Judoh will hurt Tsubaki? Or, maybe he'll swing his lug of an arm over at herself. Both ways, its seemed pretty interesting.

Right when Rei was going to reply she saw him turn his attention back to Tsubaki. Another sigh. What a boring bus ride. She could smell that cigarette smoke as it rose into the air. It didn't look like the teacher was going to do anything from it. Where exactly were they going anyway? If it was a no smoking zone the other students might die from withdraw. Her biggest guess was they would probably sneak out or just completely ignore the rules. Whatever, she didn't care as much.

The smell didn't bother her much at all. At home her grandfather smoked all the time. Having cigarette smoke in the air was basically normal. Rei though was against it. It was seriously cancer in a stick and people just bought more and more. Couldn't blame them though since nicotine addictions were hard to break. Something did catch her attention though. A girl just entered the bus and another boy just started to speak to her. That wasn't what she really noticed though. She saw her take out a juice box and offer it. Almost out of instinct, Rei hopped over to the seat next to them before hearing that it was the last one. Rei was a little too outgoing at times but she wasn't going to take someone's last juice box mostly when it was offered to someone else.

Moving back to a seat Rei decided to talk to someone too. Finally seeing a student she knew Rei jumped to her seat. Her name was Kikuya Ooshi. She went to the same school as Rei did. Kikuya was so beautiful it made any girl jealous. Well, Rei didn't think of such trivial things but even she wished she was that pretty. Kikuya just looked so fragile but elegant at the same time. Rei seemed like the exact opposite of her. No matter, she would still act the way she always does with her.

"Hii Kiku-chan~ I didn't know you got chosen for this too," Rei commented. "Any idea where we're going exactly?" she asked curiously.

>> [BIG EYED FISH]
> [ human money fish....weight of life]

User ImageKome nodded at his comment. She agreed with him. When he started to talk about his musical history, she smiled kindly. She was tuned into him. Kome let him speak, and when he asked where she was from, she looked out at the world to see if anyone else would want to know. “Well, I came from Hokkaido; the island. I took a plane and three different trains to get here. Seems like a lot of hassle for a field trip.” She said, and paused. She started to think of her mother and father, and couldn’t help but let her eyes water a little. “My mom and dad are really active people in the environment. I was kind of raised with sports and farming in my background. I have two brothers, both of which are older and much tougher then me, but, I’m just a chip off the old block; right?” She chuckled quietly. “I play guitar when I get the chance. I’m self taught.” She moved a little closer to him, so that they could have more privacy. She set her options of food down in the bag again, and looked at him. “You know, when I got here I didn’t think I’d find any one that would like me.” She said, and smiled quietly. Kome pat his shoulder and gave him a toothless smile. “Thanks.

A moment of silence ladies and gentlemen.

She didn’t mind just looking at him. Kome had learned early that the quieter you were, the more you could be liked. As the sun was going down, she put the window on her side of the bus up. She pulled out a hoodie she had in the bottom of her bag, and put it on. She poked her head out of the opening and smiled at him warmly. When she was properly wearing it, she tried not to budge too much more. She scratched her head lightly, and said “So, what did your parents tell you when you got the invitation?” She asked, curious to know if she wasn’t the only one who was skeptical.

Ms. Tatsuko looked behind them to see Rei jump back to Kikuya. She noticed how eager the girl was at trying to get a juice box. Kome reached down, and took the orange box out of the bag and turned. Without a warning, she tossed the box, so that it would sail into Rei’s lap when it would land. Kome turned back to him. “I played baseball as a kid.” She said, letting him know that she was more like a boy then a girl should be at her age. While she tossed the box though, she noticed the girl sitting next to Rei. She had soft black hair, black eyes and a color of skin that Kome desired ever since she was little. The girl was quite beautiful, however, the bell hanging from the pins in her head and way that she sat it was obvious that this girl was not the typical pretty face. She was something that Kome was training to fight for.

The Geisha.

"We will have to play with each other some time." he said softly returning her the same smile as she pat his shoulder before he looked over to the window for a few moments. "Your not the only one, but my fear is why people would like me." he smiled to her thinking about his band and how they had girls following them around. Those girls meant nothing, just wanting to have a chance of living the good life with out any work. He shook the idea out of his head as she spoke about her brothers and how she was brought up a smile coming across his lips as his eyes brightened up a little.

"They told me that it would be good for me to get away from my normal humdrum of a life style. To get out of the lights and meet some new people." he said to her with a grin as he thought about how his mother had worried it to him that very morning as he gave his last pleas to let him skip the trip. He looked over to her as she tossed the box towards the girl moving as close as she would willingly let him before he glance side to side to make sure no one else was listening in on them. "But I find it odd, that when the economy is in such a state and when schools are making cuts, that our school of all schools are sending ten students on a free trip all on them. it just does not...seem logical." his voice held a bit of mystery in it as he looked into her eyes and backed away.

He thought about it even more and it just blew his mind that a school would blow money on a trip over using it to help enlighten its students. He gave a sigh and then he looked over towards the window. "Some times i wonder how smart the people watching over us are." he smiled looking back to her as he sat back and started to act as if he was playing his guitar before he realized. "Sorry a song just jumpped into my head." he smiled.

Unknowing to everyone else, there was one last student on the bus. Of course, he kept his presence to himself; staying silent as a mouse, slouching in his chair, as to be almost invisible from those behind him, and wearing his usual dark attire, which also helped him from being noticed. The boy was sitting in the upper part of the middle rows (also another unnoticeable aspect to him, considering how the back seats were usually the most popularly chosen) and was ignoring all of the fuss where the other students were. The boy looked older than the normal age of his class, but not by much, and he was somewhat taller and well-built than most of his classmates. His only noticeable feature, besides his lurking height and well-rounded body, was his hair, which was a natural dark orange-ish-blond.

Something struck this boy as odd, though. He had never even met most of the other students that he saw join him on this bus. Normally, for people to be chosen for something, they would have to be, generally, in the same area of interest. But that was the thing. Of course he had seen these people (because who hasn't seen everyone in their own school) but he never thought they would be people with the same focus. It struck him as odd.

Shaking off this thought, he turned his head and peered out the window to his right. The road ahead was long, and the blue sky was clear and calm. This soothed his senses and made him start to doze off. Whatever was on the road ahead, he would find out soon enough when he awoke. This guy didn't care much anyway. The trip was foolish from the start in his mind... which would bring up the question: "Why go?" There was no answer for this that came to mind, but it was too late to withdraw now. He'd have to stick with it and soon enough, this would all be behind him.

Such smoke and rowdy talk was not healthy for anyone.

Her cool dark eyes admired the fading sky lines, and she returned her gaze to her book, which she noticed was wearing down from all the times she had read through it. When they came to a stop at the train station, she closed her book, and put it inside her bag. She looked up over her seat for once, and examined all the others on the bus. There was now and equal amount of girls and boys, and some of them more attractive then others. Her ears perked to snippits of other conversations, and it was then she saw who was being picked up. She was fairly tall, however not as tall as Kikuya herself. She had tanned skin, and she looked more or less like a foreigner then a local. For all her years of examining a room for wealthy men or for trouble makers, she had trouble pinpointing this girl’s personality. That worried Kikuya.

That made her more interesting.

When Hero had moved to talk to this girl, she almost kicked herself for not doing so as well. The young woman watched as the two of them talked fluently and like the best of friends. Kikuya almost didn’t buy it, until she saw the smiles and the looks in their eyes. She had seen that only once in her life; when her mother and father took that photograph that was now safe in her bag. She seriously missed Gion. She missed running down the alley ways and fetching things on her many errands. She missed being photographed by tourists and various other Japanese men and women. Kikuya ignored the girl and the boy up in the front of the bus, and tried not to make much noise. At this point she didn’t mind being recluse.

"Hii Kiku-chan~ I didn't know you got chosen for this too," The sound of her voice made Kikuya look at how quickly this girl had moved just to share a seat with her. Kikuya didn’t really talk to the girls in her school, partially because they were all crazy drunks and druggies or girls that preferred to keep to themselves. Kikuya adjusted to let Rei have more of the seat. Rei was a girl that Kikuya would often see doing the athletic sports, and in classes that they shared, Rei was more or less out of Kikuya’s mind. Perhaps she wouldn’t being a bad friend to actually make. Rei was pretty in her own way, but Kikuya preferred to know the more traditional type of girl over this rough and tumbled type. When Rei started the conversation, Kikuya listened to her quietly. "Any idea where we're going exactly?" That question had also been jabbing the young maiko’s side for a long time. Kikuya wasn’t tempted to talk but she opened her mouth and let the fragile words linger as she looked back out the window

“We’re probably going somewhere that the board of educators has easy access to.”

Kikuya looked back at Rei, and then watched as the juice box landed in Rei’s lap. Kikuya raised one of her eyebrows, and the bell in her hair began to jingle a little. Kikuya looked out at the girl who had tossed it, and noticed that she was the wild card. Kikuya watched Rei’s reaction, and quietly said “Such generosity coming for such a foreign face.”

Judoh sat there as she spoke about how she was used to the smoke. He gave her a smirk before he took one last drag before he stamped it out onto the back of the chair in front of him as he thought about the arrangements once again. "So tell me then why take a drag your self if you hate the smell... Maybe its the taste you like." he said as he leaned over pressing his lips to hers once more, breaking away after he was sure she would get a good taste.

His eyes looked to her as he looked around the bus thinking for a moment before he smiled. "While we are on this trip I shall treat you right. Well right enough." he chuckled as he slipped the half used cigarette behind his right ear before he glanced out of the window at everything that passed by them. His eyes focused on a rather tall tree as long as he could before it just went flying past them. "My hands will be the only ones that will get near you." it was his way of letting her know he would not let any harm come her way, unless she was into that kind of thing.

His distant eyes continued to look past the glass before he sat all the way back into the seat his eyes glancing down at the hole that had been burned into his favorite jacket. A sort of scowl came across his face as he looked towards zakk before looking her way once more his hod around her loosening just a little as he moved closer to her. "Anything I should know about you?"

She felt his breath before she saw him.

When she turned to look at him, her eyes went a little wide at how close they had gotten. When he talked about playing their guitars together, she looked innocently at him and whispered “I’m not very good…and even then, we live so far apart.” She said. Kome wanted to kick herself for giving an excuse, but yet she ignored it. While we talked, she nodded and agreed, pulling out her pig tails to let her hair have a break. His excuse for going sounded a lot like what her parents had told her, but after almost a month of being curious, Kome had lost interest in sneaking through her parent’s mail to see the real reasons. Her mother and father were like robots, always on time, always at the ready, and always stoic. They could hide a present or mail like no one else could. Kome just hoped that a second, more important letter hadn’t arrived for her that she hadn’t read.

I think the government is dumb.

Ms. Tetsuko looked at him with honest eyes. “I think that with a crashing economy, the government has to do something to make itself look good. The best those chumps could come up with is a field trip for ‘priviledged’ students. When I look at things, they selected students who generally mingled out of different gene pools to bring them together in order to show how even the most struggling of nations can have its different people come together in ‘harmony’ for the sake of education.” Kome vented in a quiet voice, as if she felt the world was watching them. She stayed close to him, even after he moved back. She looked into his eyes, and said “When I left Hokkaido, I thought that this would be pointless, but…I am happy to know that I’m not alone in my ideas.” She said, and looked back into his eyes. They didn’t look very happy, but yet, she was strong in her manners. For once, Kome had to look away from him. She looked out the window, and noticed they were now traveling on a highway, heading with several other cars towards their future location. She let him talk about the song he was pretending to play, and she nodded in approval to let him know she was still listening. She remained very quiet for a while, until the lights had dimmed on the bus. “I’m sorry.” Kome whispered with a soft frown.

It didn’t make any sense….Hero was absolutely right.

Misaki watched Judoh as he pushed the butt of the cigarette into the seat infront of them. She shrugged at his statement, "No, don't really like the taste...guess just how it feels. I don't know how to explai..." Her voice trailed off as he pressed her lips to hers. It felt...strange. As he started to pull away, she pushed forward, to let it linger another moment, before she let him pull away, their lips finally parting.

She let out the softest of sighes, as she ran her tounge over her lips. He tastes like them... She thought to herself, as she glanced to the stain on the seat infront of them, from the cigarette. She then looked back up at Judoh. Her lips turned upward into a gentle smile, just as they turned a corner and the sun poured through their window, hitting her hair and showing its silky sheen. She watched him move the cigarette behind his far ear, then back to his eyes as they watched something out the window behind her. She nodded to what he said. Even though he seemed rough, at the very least, he did seem to be one to keep his word, if he had inclination to.Not that she thought it would matter, as she planned to ditch everything after they arrived.

If only she knew that there wouldn't be time.

She continued to stare at his eyes, his face, as he then sat back. He then looked at his jacket, and she could see the irritation start to spread across his face. She glanced down as well, and saw the hole. That wasn't necessary, She thought, as her eyes flickered to Zakk a moment, before they again locked on Judoh. She wanted to make that scowl go away, as he turned his head to look back at her. She slowly raised a hand, slowly as to not startle him, and then moved it to cup his left cheek. She glanced over his face itself, before she again looked to his eyes. "You should know..." She said, low and soft, just as her touch had been, "That I hope you'll keep your promises." Her smile took on the tint of a smirk, "For I have six older brothers, that wouldn't be happy if I didn't come back as I had left, without it being my fault." She chuckled, "But, a big strong guy like you, it shouldn't be a problem for you to keep this small girl safe." The word 'safe' slithered out of her mouth, almost seductively. She felt strange. She wanted to see how he reacted to different things...
Her hand curled into his face, and she drew it back, softly raking her short nails against his cheek. It wouldn't scratch him, probably just give a strange sensation.

"And I would hate for someone as cute as you to be marred from the expirience that my brothers would give you, if they knew I was this close to another boy outside the family." She chuckled again, for as she hadn't had a boyfriend before, she knew her brothers would go berserk if they knew a boy had an arm around their precious little doll. Had kissed and given a cigarette to their little Misaki. But she didn't care. It was funny to think about. And, no, she wasn't threatening him. She truely didn't think Judoh would deserve the fate her brothers would try to dish out.

[John has no internet until later when his bill gets paid, soooo...]

The nonchalant bus driver was scheming in his seat, as hit hit a button that would release a smoke-like gas. It began to pour from small holes on the roof of the bus and quickly filled up the entire area, and would make anyone without immunities pass out within mere seconds. The only ones that would have these immunities, however were the teachers and the bus driver. As the bus quickly filled with the opaque gas, the driver slowed a bit, to ensure they would not crash... But they were nowhere near their destination... Yet.

Suddenly, Misaki smelled something. She quickly brought a hand to her cover her nose; it smelled terrible. "What is tha..." She started to say, before she suddenly found she couldn't talk anymore. She was tired, and it felt like a weight suddenly was forcing her eyes to close, her brain to slow, and her movements to become unavaliable.

What was happening? She only had a few moments, and she glanced up at Judoh, who didn't seem to understand either. Her eyes then closed, and she slumped against him. There was another moment before her brain turned off...Her thoughts, then went to Matt.

He was hurt. The boy, Zakk, had said that he was in a hospital. Why? She didn't understand...something about a car. Something about him on a bike. Something about an accident...

So why didn't it sound like an accident?

Oh Matt...

She suddenly felt guilty for being here next to Judoh. It shouldn't matter that he was sort of cute. He could easily fit under the category of 'sick' and probably abusive too. So what was she doing sitting next to him, smoking with him, making him think that she would sleep with him? Not that she was going to...she wouldn't do that, and she had never agreed to. He may have thought she did, but she just didn't speak her thoughts. And her thoughts were that she would ditch this place as soon as they got there, but...As her brain then slowed even more, and she slipped into unconsciousness, she had the distinct thought that there was much more going on than just a simple field trip, and she probably wouldn't be given the option to just slip away, as she had planned to.

Her mind began to race in a strange string of chaos as she sat there, against Judoh, unconscious. Strange dreams haunted her mind as the convoluted thoughts of the moments before she passed out mixed and twisted themselves into strange realities only possible in her head.

She saw Matt, who really looked like Judoh, and her brothers were yelling at her, but...she couldn't hear them. They were moving. No, she was. Away. They were running after her. Why couldn't they reach her? Why did everything smell like smoke? She had the distinct taste of cigarettes in her mouth, no matter how much she raked her nails against her tounge. They were continually moving, and she was alone...Her family, her friends from school, everything she knew was disappearing, and she could hear someone, a hard cold sound of a laugh tearing her eardrums apart as she tried to find a way to get back to something that wasn't there anymore...
