I know what you mean. Growing up, my dad wasn't the greatest. I do believe that people can and most certainly do change. He is a better person now and we're closer now.

Aww that's good ^_^

I think with me, as I grow older, I'll just get closer and closer to my parents. Though I may be a pain every occasion and they'll never forget those few moments, I'll grow closer xD

I was always super close to my mom. I ended up getting closer with my dad after I had moved out and into my first apartment. 4laugh

Hmm, I guess I'm super close with my mom.
Say really random, did your parents approve of Ray back in high school?

Say really random, did your parents approve of Ray back in high school?

Actually, they didn't care much either way at first until...well they had found out that Ray and I had sorta done the deed and then there was a problem.

His Dad: "She can't be here unless I'm here, I don't what you doing that in my house." (embarrassing moment: he sorta caught us and I about died) Aside from that, he was fine about me

My Dad: "I can't be mad at you for something I did when I was your age. Just be careful and don't do it in my house."

My Mom: I remember her being upset and disappointed. She told me to be sure and tell my father. She advised against continuing in the act further and discussed the possible life consequences and such. For and long time, both she and Skip (my step dad who I view to be more my father) Had a big problem with him and us and didn't feel he was at all good enough or mature enough for me. At the time, he really wasn't but I was in love and that's all that mattered to me. They both had my future and long term happiness and well being in mind. Skip had a private talk with him. He wanted Ray to man up, he was 17, doing poorly in school (he's very smart, just lazy) and working at a gas station. He told Ray that if he had any intentions of staying with me in the long run, that he had better get his act together and man-up. I tell you what, Ray was serious about me and us and made changes right away. He became more responsible and motivated. He straitened up in school and soon joined the Navy in order to be able to provide me a proper future with him. The next year once he had gone through Navy Basic Training, he proposed and I said yes. All of my parents are now so impressed with him and proud of all the amazingly great decisions he's made. They tell me that he is wonderful and perfect and that they couldn't imagine anyone better. They love how well he treats me and everything. I feel the same. heart

Vacation Ramblings

The trip to NY was a great time! The wedding was lovely and I had a great time with my friends and made two trips out to Niagara Falls. Once at night to see the light show and once during the day to play tourist. ^_^

Michigan was great! Ray and I got our tattoos and I will post better pics here then what is on myspace once they are fully healed in about another week. It was great seeing family and friends and we got to see just about everyone we wanted to. One person we didn't get to see since they were our of town and the other...well she is just being weird and I'll write on that next. Overall things are wonderful aside from my having a painful kidney stone right now. The pain is less today so hopefully that means I'll be passing it very soon. I hope. sweatdrop

So, the story in a nut shell...no, this needs to go into advice/guidance actually.

Aww I actually went to Advice/Guidance first before I came here.

But first off:
It really gives me hope when I hear about you and Ray's story. So many guys that I'm interested in are just like the way Ray was (okay that wasn't proper grammar but you get what I'm trying to say) They're EXTREMELY smart if they only just TRIED to do better. I just can't help but feel that they want me to be with someone who has a lot of money (therefore he can support me) is good looking (therefore we can be proud of our children and I get what I deserve <-- I know that's how my mother feels. She's hinted at it but she won't confess that's EXACTLY how she feels. I honestly don't care, there's been guys who aren't so good looking ((one I actually met not too long ago)) who I'd date because he just has a great personality) and is faithful and loves me for me (that I totally understand and plan to settle for nothing less than that)
Oh dear, I would have about died too... and leave it to our mothers to put us in the guilt/disappointed trip xD with the lecture sure to follow.

About the vacation:
That sounds like so much fun! (makes me look forward to becoming an adult)
Oh dear... kidney stone? I've never had one of those, but I hope it passes soon and without pain.
And I can't wait to see the tattoos ^_^ (I actually avoid myspace and facebook so I don't go on there much)

Unfortunately, the kidney stone is very painful. I'm on them a lot to keep in contact with friends and family back home.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 11, 2009 11:46 am

Aww I'm sorry D= *hugs*

See, for me there's no reason to get on them frequently. We're all still in the same school and I barely even know who I add on facebook (it's notorious for social networking and people keep wanting to add me so I'm just like, Hey why not?)
Myspace, eh. I don't talk to anyone or do anything on there. There's no point. Oh though I should get on to check your awesome pictures =D

Thank you very much. Right now my tat is at the healing stage where it is very very VERY ITCHY! >.<

*moans*

Must....not.....scratch!!!

I'm pretty picky with social networks like that. I very rarely add anyone that I don't know irl. Bands and such don't count with that of course. blaugh
PostPosted: Tue Aug 18, 2009 10:13 am

Ooo... never heard of tats being itchy...

I'm actually embarrassed to add bands. Though I know I shouldn't be... D=
But! I think I'll start to add them because I'm gonna start drawing fan art of them and try to give it to them >_>
I just hope they'll get it...
