A wise choice Sean.
The Orc is wearing only a meager vest made from beast's hide. Your Dagger of Venom slices cleanly through. You score a 5 on one die and a 6 on the other, so plus bonuses and skill modifiers...a solid 13 damage. The Orc slumps to the ground dead.

What the crap? What version are you using? Daggers roll a d4 for medium creatures and poison only does ability damage now! (I know, I'm a DM)

Well you've managed to thoroughly confuse me, I'm not sure where your getting these numbers, but a troll? That's a little harsh, I mean without fire or acid a coup de grace is the only way to kill one.
