No one will know until it comes to pass.
Personally, I don't think anything will happen.
People will commit suicide the day before, and there will be mass chaos.
Then the sun will come up like normal.
It'll pass just like any other day.

Well, that is a possibility...
I mean, people have killed themselves before other "Doomsdays" in the past, and they've turned out to be just regular old days.
But I'm definitely looking forward to that day. What happens will be exciting either way I look at it.

True, but most of if not all of them stemmed from a lack of knowledge about computers like Y2k or superstitious numerology like the recent 6/6/06.
December 21st, 2012 has been an ominous date from the start, as well as being an important astronomical date where we cross the galactic meridian. What other "Doomsdays" have had that kinda cred?

It's just an opinion.
But in all honesty, doomsday will not happen on a date specified by man.
That would just be too easy.
Maybe, maybe not. What if it wasn't predicted by man, but a deity or something supernatural? If God truly does not bow to the will of man, then not only should God not choose a date because we say so, but God should not change the date of it just because we guessed it either. It's kinda randomized that way, no?

Yeah, that's true. :0 Hm. Well, what about the theory of the Earth becoming aware of itself? (Kind of like how we're aware of ourselves, I'm assuming.) I read a little about that today on GaiaMind.org. It's a little hard for me to follow though. It's too much information for my 14 year old brain. I really like this site though: All About 2012It kind of points me away from the "Doomsday" thing, but I believe that it's also possible that it's going to mark a "new beginning." And there isn't a beginning without an end. So if it is an end of somesort, I don't really believe it's the end anymore. (Oh, brain..You're so slow sometimes..)
