They make good bases to things 'cause their flavor doesn't tend to be overpowering on its own, I s'pose.

I had friend bananas with maple syrup and brown sugar over ice cream today.

Maple syrup and ice cream = very good. My brother always does that. Plus he adds walnuts to the mix.
