Is the armageddon spell canon in the manga?
I don't believe it is. Compared to Shinjiro's strength, which is.
1. He's the highest level persona user that joins your party.
2. He's in great condition, about every night.
3. Has no weaknesses *even if he has no resistances*
4. Even with suppresants, he was still that powerful. Imagine how good he would be if he hadn't taken them.
5. He *along with the MC* was epic enough to die, saving other people's lives.
6. He was one of the 3 original persona users.
7. The manga has Akihiko saying he wanted to be 'as strong as him'
8. He can cook.

one at him, and one aimed for Ken.
And as you said, the Mc Didn't 'Die'
so, he obviously isn't as cool.
Plus, Shinji was part of the reason that MC managed to defeat the god.
and~
Without Shinji there, Ken and Aki wouldn't have evolved their personas.
in fact, if there were no shinji,
Aki probably wouldn't have had anyone but his sister at the orphanage,
Ken wouldn't have a reason to fight,
and therefore, that's 2 people less. *shinji and Ken*
Plus, MC can possibly be saved from the wall. Shinji died, not only an honorable death, which is irreversible.
Plus, as I said, Shinji can cook.

I'm not talking about the game itself, I'm talking about the characters.
And the whole game?
maybe on a new game + but not on a first playthrough.
MC has a chance to come back to life. *elizabeth*
Shinji does not.

I still think Shinji is the best persona user ever.
Cause he had his own set of emotions and belifs, that aren't random based on who plays it.
