Finished with that, Rednal calmly sat down and focused to meditate. He needed to think, and think hard, about what it was he wanted to do next... what sort of Fruit he wanted to try and find. He knew of a Chop Chop fruit, one that would allow its user to split into segments, and it was apparently exceptionally good against bladed weapons. Unfortunately, that was much too narrow of a power range for him to consider it viable as what he would want to eat.

There was also legend of a Slip Slip fruit, something that made things slide off the user's body, apparently by manipulating friction. If used properly, that could be a surprisingly devastating power; absolute frictionlessness made something almost impossible to harm. A stange, interesting power, but... it wasn't really his style to do things that way. Such a fruit was another one that he could cross off of his list without worrying over it too much. Couldn't have them all.

Old stories about Crocodile mentioned a sort of Bomb man... being able to detonate at will could be pretty handy if you really wanted to do it. But that was the power of a medium-strength warrior, not someone who intended to stand at the pinnacle of the world. Maybe he would allow such a man to be a distant subordinate as he relaxed on his own personal island... yeah, that wouldn't be so terribly awful. Always good to have people who could keep things running. Rednal made a motion with a hand, throwing a small nut across the area.

Another story mentioned the ability of someone to change their weight. That was definitely a Cursed Fruit power, but one of a low level. You couldn't apply it to very many situations, and that meant it was a long ways from being as powerful as it could have been. A fun toy to play with, but not terribly interesting, and nothing he wanted to use for himself. That was a power he could cross off his list without worrying about making the right choice. Easily.

The famous Luffy had, in his crew, a woman who could sprout extra limbs wherever she wanted. That had actually been proven to be quite a powerful ability, and it bore serious consideration as something he might want to eat. He could already imagine the possibilities, of sprouting out fists as necessary or using stranger manipulations to cross vast distances relatively quickly. It wasn't high on his list of acceptable powers, but... nor was he going to totally dismiss it as a secondary option.

Another story of Crocodile talked about a man who had been able to generate wax from his body. Unfortunately, it wasn't a Logia power, and therefore weaker than it might have been. There were also notes as to the weakness of the stuff, and those would be relatively well-known, making it a good power to study but a dangerous one to have. Rednal didn't believe he could seriously accomplish his goals by eating that sort of fruit, and he intended to avoid it.

One of Luffy's more interesting adventures, at least according to the histories, had involved some Grand Line ruler that had eaten an... eating fruit. That was, capable of eating things and then somehow utilizing them for power. The details weren't very clear on what exactly it did, but it did seem to imply an enormous appetite. Rednal had no desire to eat such a fruit, not for that low level of power. It just wasn't in his nature to go for things like that.

The expanded records of Crocodile included a subordinate who had been able to change his body into a mass of blades to fight with. That was a notably nasty power, probably useless against Logia users, but very good if you were the type to focus on bladed combat. Rednal wasn't, though. Weapons were so unwieldy, and he didn't really feel that something of that sort would be a good match for his personality. Another fruit he could cross off of his list.

The same record mentioned a spike woman. Spikes were interesting, and were probably quite dangerous against unarmed opponents. Unfortunately, they really weren't much good otherwise. What could you do with something like that, anyway? He supposed that making shish-kebabs would be a little easier, or maybe just fishing in a freshwater lake, but again, that was a power of relatively limited uses, even to someone who was ordinarily quite creative.

Kale arrived in the village and looked around; humming to herself as she walked around. Finally finding where she had been directed, she went to a small hut. She was looking for a girl; and it wasn't going to be hard to find, as the girl peered outside of the hut, and blinked innocently at the other. "Hello?" Kale smiled, wiggling her fingers at the girl, who stepped outside looking over the other. "Hi," was the girls simple response. "I'm Kale," Kale remembered this time to introduce herself.
"Apis," The girl returned smiling at Kale. Kale knelt down; "I hear..." She leaned forward, and lowered her voice. "You have something, you can teach a girl." She smiled towards Apis.
Apis laughed and nodded, "Yeah; I can." She replied, "and it's very simple; in fact, I think you're half way there." She giggled and looked over Kale's happy excited expression.
Apis took Kale's hand. "Come with me." She said, walking slowly towards the nearest bit of tree's. Kale followed, and looked around. "See that fox?" The girl said, looking up at Kale; still holding her hand. "Yeah?" Kale replied.
"Look cute." Apis said and turned on the fox, giving her best cute smile at the fox. Which started to move closer to them. Kale glanced to Apis and crouched down again and gave the fox, her own cute face; it moving even closer now. "See, that simple Miss Kale." Apis spoke.
Kale smiled, and hugged Apis. "Yes, thank you!" She replied. "Come see me sometime later." Apis smiled at her and rushed back to her hut, leaving Kale there, smiling at the fox.

Deciding to leave the docks for a bit, after her nice nap. She headed back to Macron Village. to find this "Colonel Butler". She looked around trying to find said man, going to into a local 'dive' and peering around. "Uhm Excuse me!" She called out, a large smile on her face. "I'm looking for Colonel Butler!" She announced. Hey, it worked the first time, trying to find Captain Kuro. Apparently, it did work; as a man stood up in the back. He hurt Kale's eyes; but she would never admit that outloud, she didn't like hurting people's feelings. "What can I do for you," He questioned the girl, upon his arrival. "I was hoping you might teach me to be...as ..." She giggled slightly and leaned forward. "Quick witted, as you."

He looked down over the girl, and raised an eyebrow. "I suppose, for a girl like you; a genius like me could help you out, if only a little bit." He offered, to which she yipped happily, her hands together. He watched her a moment, his arms crossed across his chest. She was an odd one, this girl. He started out of the dive, to lead her to the spot where they would work. "What is your name?" He questioned her, looking over his shoulder at her. "It's Kale!" She called happily, smiling at him. He nodded his head. "Well; Kale." He began; "Learning my move, requires wisdom and attention." He turned towards her. She stopped where she was, listening to him speak.

"You have to be able to predict where they are coming from, and only then will you be able to really utilize this move." He told her. "As a genius, this is no problem for me; but I don't expect you to get it right away." He told her, seriously. She nodded. "I understand, but I intend to get it!" She told him. He watched her. "Ready?" He offered. "Close your eyes, and feel my movements." He told her seriously. Kale felt strange, "You're not even going to show me?" She questioned him. He laughed. "You can't learn this move by seeing; you have to try it out." He told her honestly; "Besides, it goes quicker if you try it out from the beginning, everyone has a different way of learning it."

Kale took a breath and nodded, "Alright!" She told him. "Let's do this." She was thrilled to be trying something like this out. She closed her eyes. "Here I come!" Came Butler's voice as he headed for her. Kale imagined him in her head, and imagined from which side he would attack, but when the attack came, she couldn't dodge it. He jumped back, "Let's try again!" He told her. Kale nodded; "Alright" She agreed and closed her eyes again. Butler looked over her a moment, while Kale inwardly imagined where he was coming from this time. He ran for her, attacking. Kale reached out, and almost had it; but still got hit. "I think you're getting it." He told her, pleased.

"Last time, my dear!" He called out to her. Kale looked towards him, "This time." He told her calmly; "You need to feel, listen and anticipate!" He said, "Only then will you be able to dodge a move; and once you have, you have completely learned quick wit!" He clapped his hands together, much like Kale does; Kale doing the same thing. Kale laughed and smiled brightly. "Alright, I'm ready!" She told him, taking another deep breath and closing her eyes. She waited; this time, she did as she was told. When he went for the attack, she listened; felt the air and imagined. When he went to strike her, she quickly stepped backwards, effectively, dodging the attack!
Kale opened her eyes and looked towards Butler, who clapped. "Yes, I told you; I was just the genius to teach you be this witted!" Kale laughed. "Thank you so much!" She seemed so excited to have learned it so quickly. He looked over her. "Anytime, doll." He said, "Come see me any time you need anymore help!" He offered, returning the dive from whence he came.
