Ok, here's the long awaited pics of the recent Mardi Gras parade in my town. Warning.... I took lots and lots of pics (specifically with the intention of sharing with you!) So I'll try to explain what caught my eye in particular ones.
Here's the first (of many);

 Put these side by side and you can kinda tell what kind of dancing they were doing... something about a stinky leg?
 
Here's a pic of the crowd waiting for more parade. Some how there were already gaps. But when I was little, the parades in this town were only attended by a thin line of spectators... and some places along the parade route might even have no people... NOT ANY MORE!!!

I'm so gad you enjoyed them. I tried to take them so y'all could feel like you were actually there; sharing the experience of a Mardi Gras Parade. Can you believe that I didn't upload all the pics I took to photobucket, and I didn't even post all the pics I upload to photobucket? Did you have a favorite? I hoped I'd narrarated it well... *thinks of the Macy Day Parade." Maybe I went a little overboard, but it was fun kinda reporting on the parade. xd
I really can't wait for my favorite parade, Selene. It's an all female crew that rolls at night. And they have all their floats all lit up and the most prized throws are the blinky trinket such as necklaces and wands. It's really beautiful. I hope I can master the night settings on my camera that I just got for Christmas!

Ok, ladies...
you did a wonderful job getting into the Hypnotic Robotnics. Very impressive! Can you imagine if we all went wandering in the towns dressed up like that!? Now it's up to the voters. Who's it going to be? Place your votes now!
 And now I declare the competion for the theme of "Love is in the Air." With Valentine's Day this Saturday, there's bound to be lots of love in the air... *gets lost dreaming about different kinds of love... puppy love... wild love... gushy love...* I can't wait to see the costumes y'all deam up for this time. This is mine!
