Lorenz's presence could be considered overpowering in the wrong perspective, but Renee took it with a smile and a mental note to be on her social best around him. Any bad press was sure to come back threefold on her.

"Of course," Renee said with a nod. "It's wonderful to put a name to a face." Okay, so she'd read one article when she was really, really bored. And had internet access. Or a computer, for that matter, but best to keep quiet about such topics.

"Actually, I've recently been accepted by Walk of Fame." Her smile deepened, more sincere and somewhat awed. She had selfconfidence when it suited her, but for such an auspicious agency to hire was still, well, somewhat daunting.

"I'm a fashion designer," she told him proudly just before he got caught up in talking to a gorgeous African woman with short hair. Dear heavens, the girl should be a model! It made her sort of envious, and at teh same time, glad to stay out of the significant spotlight. She wanted to know more about her.

Lorenz Milton
Lorenz faked a smile at Khahlela. It was one thing for him to insult or criticize Lourdes - but he got offended when others did. He worshipped the girl, he even gave himself a pseudonym after her name. But he couldn't really blame her for being a bit bitter towards Lourdes after all that she had been put through by her. "Oh, alright then, Lela," he said with a smile. He turned back to the other girl. "Fashion designer? Really, that's interesting," he remarked. "Are either of you two working on a project together at the moment, or just finished anything? Or still looking for a place to start?"

Rennee? Interesting? The man must be a whiz at flattery, though Renee noticed the way he sort of stiffened at Khahlela's retort about Lourdes and her oh-so-beloved Tinkertroll. To be told, even Renee knew enough of Hollywood society to recognize a walking Barbie when she saw it. The woman couldn't have much left on her that was natural.

She tilted her head to the side slightly as Lela defended herself, then turned her attention back to Lorenz. She was no socialite, and keepign up with so many people up front and those watching her would take some getting used to.

"I'm looking around for a good place to start," Renee admitted somewhat sheepishly. "I'm sort of working on the grounds of a project, but it's taking longer than I anticipated. But I guess that's life." She gave a small, nervous laugh. Had she said too much already?

User ImageOh, the way he put her off made her steaming. Taking her leave without another word, the African woman started down the red carpet again. She saw Joanne Lakes all by herself... and all wrapped up.. ...How strange.

She moved right over to the other woman and gave her a brilliant smile. "Hello, Ms. Lakes."

Lorenz Milton
"Indeed," Lorenz agreed. He wasn't quite sure what she meant. Lorenz didn't have much of a 'life', really. His life was mostly following the lives of others. Without his blog...he'd just be another creepy fat gay man who spends too much time on the internet obsessing about people. But he didn't need to think of the hypothetical situations that his life could bring him in, what mattered was that he was a successful and famous gossip blogger. "Hopefully you'll make the right connections tonight then to get a jump start." He smiled and winked at Renee, then looked around to notice Khahlela had run off. Hrmph. How strange.

Joanne Lakes
"Well hello there," Joanne said, not sure who she was speaking with. But the woman seemed to recognize her, even with this ridiculous red scarf around her face. She wasn't quite sure if she should be flattered or not. Did the woman recognize her because of her famous scenes at the red carpet? Or because each time at the red carpet, her face is a disaster and this red scarf was the epitome of disaster. Was it a recognition of fame - or of infamy? "Do I know you from somewhere? I don't recall meeting you."

Renee's gaze found Lela again, mainly because she'd boldly walked up to Joanne Lakes after Lorenz, and the fashion designer wondered if she wanted to steer clear of Milton as much as she, herself, wanted to avoid Ms. Lakes. Even if it was inevitable.

"I'll certainly keep what I learn tonight in mind," she agreed with that same smile, the wink not going unnoticed. Still, just how much could one blogger do?

"I'm sure I'm probably keeping you from more interesting stras and starlettes," she said after a moment. "It was wonderful to meet you, Mr. Milton." That, and she was probably making a fool of herself, standing about on the red carpet as everyone else flashed smiles and quick interviews before heading in.

Lela gave a smile and shook her head quietly. "No, you don't know me, but I've seen you enough to know you." She held out her hand after a moment. "Khahlela Umfula. ...But call me Lela, please," she said quite easily. It was way easier for Lela to talk to a girl rather than some pink haired idiot who pissed her off. She'd ignore Milton no matter what.

Joanne Lakes
"Well hello there Lela," she said happily. It was nice for someone to approach her without some awkward forced tension for once. But nonetheless, it was her job to ask question - and thus make things awkwardly forced. "Are you with Walk of Fame Talent Agencies? A model? You look like you could be a model. Or a singer? Are you working on anything at the moment?"

With an easy laugh, Lela held up her hands. "I am with Walk of Fame, and I sing. I just finished a performance, actually. A Christmas concert for the orphans in the middle of the city. Opera was there. I think. I didn't see her, but she said she would go." She rambled a little and then shook her head. Her eyes looked to that scarf and sighed. "Mind if I fix it for you?"

Joanne Lakes
"Oh that sounds lovely!" Joanne added. She always liked it when celebrities did charity events. And anything that involves Opera is something she absolutely adores! "Oh, my scarf? Oh, please don't touch it." She put one hand over her neck, holding onto the scarf and pulled her head away to step away from Lela before she could touch the scarf. However, this caused the scarf too loosen even further and fall off her face, leaving part of it as a band around her forehead, the rest fall down to her neck, exposing her hideously scarred bandaged face.

With a sigh, and a bite to her lip, Lela pulled back and looked to the side. Yes, she really was ugly and scarred. "...Sorry! I'm so sorry. Ms. Lakes!" Turning back to her, she gathered the scarf up to try to wrap it around her face again, tears in her eyes.

"... ....What.... happened?"

Ana Cruz arrived to the red carpet of the Walk of Fame Holiday Dinner in a luxurious white stretch limousine with her chauffeur, Richard, holding the door open for her. She took her time stepping out of the vehicle to allow for the photographers to capture her arrival in more photos. "Thank you, Richard," she whispered with a beaming smile as she finally was completely out of the vehicle. Of course, the smile wasn't intended for Richard - but for the photographers. She stood in a few poses, showing off her beautiful flowing deep red dress that gradually fades to a very light shade of rose. After five minutes of red carpet modeling for the photographers, she made her way into the massive crowd to make some conversation with the more influential celebrities and make a few connections.

Joanne Lakes
Joanne did everything she possibly could to cover her face, but nothing seemed to work other that just covering her face with her hands. "What do you mean what happened? My face is ruined, thats what happened! Just go, leave me!" Joanne began to cry, realizing just how much of a mess she has become. Painfully embarrassed she ran off, getting lost in the sea of celebrities.

Lorenz Milton
A young latina woman caught Lorenz's eye. She was wearing a beautiful red dress that looked to be rather expensive, but he wasn't entirely familiar with who she is. Lorenz wasn't quite sure, but he thought may recognize her from the last Walk of Fame event where she wore another dress that caught his attention. Intrigued her approached her. "Hello there, Lorenz Milton. How are you?" he asked, giving a rather informal introduction to himself.

"I am doing wonderful, its an honor to meet you Lorenz," she said, sweet talking with the master of celebrity gossip. She knew better than to treat Lorenz with anything but the utmost respect, he had way too much power and influence over her career to do anything else. "My name is Ana Cruz, a model." She felt that was a both a fairly friendly and a professional way to introduce herself without coming on too strong. "Actually, you once made a post about me on your site about a dress that I wore. I was truly flattered that you complimented my fashion sense."

Lorenz Milton
Suck up. But Lorenz was fine with that, he loved getting his a** kissed. "Well you look fantastic! You have a very nice taste in fashion. You know, I actually just finished talking with a new fashion designer, her name is Renee Cardot, I think. Check her out," Lorenz gave a half-nod. "So Ana, are you working on anything at the moment? Anything big coming up? Any new fierce trends you plan on introducing. You've got to do something to make a statement in this industry."
