"Well um... I would like to know... How is it that you can fly with no wings, or magic? You and Sarah just leap into the skies and take off like gravity means nothing to you. And how did you get so much power? I saw what Sarah did to that giant, I know commoners don't have that kind of power. you're really one of the elementalists right?" Maryl knew she was pressing with so many questions but she couldn't help it.

Mia popped up out of the ground with Journey. She looked around and found Dusk with a few others. "Dusk!" She yelled as she let go of Journey's hand and ran to her. "Water's here. They're in a boat nearing the shore where you left us." She told her as she reached the small group.

Journey stumbled along after Mia once they had popped out of the ground. She stopped when her hand dropped from hers and she took off in a sprint towards Dusk. "Water's attacking again!? Why!?" She demanded an answer from no one in particular. "We've done nothing to them!" she was now just ranting to herself not caring if anyone else heard or not. Her eyes flashed from their brilliant blue, to a bright fire crimson. She ran over to join the group after this change occurred. "What do you suppose we do about it?" She said after reaching them.

Dusk was too shocked for words. Water was here? Already? "We had days to prepare for this and we did not...winter's coming soon and we don't have enough supplies in the immediate area to even feed or give weapons to an army." She looked over at Kel and Maryl, then back to Journey and Mia.
"If they are met unopposed they will take the territory." To Kel she said, "You are the most level headed person here. What do we do?" Her voice trembled as she spoke, her body ached for the comfort that the change brought, she wouldn't feel quiet as helpless.

Kel's attention completely left Maryl from the interruption. He scratched his head and stood up. "fantastic... They travel fast, it hasn't even been a full day yet. Ask me again later, Maryl."
He looked across the beat up and dusty old town. "Well if Maryl's field thing works then sit tight. They're not getting in even if they do come here. This old town wasn't exactly on the map, The other towns in the central region are mostly neutral people so they may overlook us entirely. Unfortunately, I don't think there's anything that can be done for Terra Tanta. I'd imagine they won't be setting up any camps there after the washout anyway."
Seth sat atop the porch shade of the hospital listening quietly. She peeked over the edge and spouted at Kel. "Still think there's time for diplomacy?"

Maryl piped up being interrupted. She looked about anxiously for Seth spotting her as she peeked from the edge of the overhang. With some relief, she paced out to the edge of the porch and stepped off, trying to get Seth's attention with her arms raised.

Distracted, Seth looked down at Maryl. "What?" She slid and dropped off the roof doing a quick flip before landing in a crouch. She stood up and turned to Maryl.
Kel shrugged and shook his head. "I suppose it isn't too late to try. At the very least lets not cause a panic or else this place will stand out." He thought to himself for a moment.

"If they're at the shore right now, we can probably buy a few hours time before they start moving inland. Diplomacy is probably our best bet..." Where is the Princess? If nothing else...hopefully she is safe in whatever country she's in. "If only we had someone of a higher position to represent us, Kiro does not seem like he's going to listen to just anyone after crossing the sea to get here."

Kel snickered, "Well, that rules out us foreigners. Hell, usually nobody listens to a cripple and two children anyway." Kel took a second to sit back down on the porch. He leaned back against the wall and looked out at the sky. "Hey, Ogmitt Jord has a military base, maybe the invaders will lose."

Mia watched thier exchanges with a careful expression. She wasn't sure about some of these people. Representing them did not seem like a good idea to her. She was tired, so she just plopped herself on the ground and continued to watch them silently.

An idea hit her. "Kel, if we all lied with a hint of truth no one would ever know. We could say you are the Princess's regent, the ruling power in her stead while she is away. All of us could act along with it, follow you as our general if it comes to war, agree with you in things of policy. You're a male, and probably the ol-I mean wisest of us here. It might be the only leverage we have." Her eyes were a pleading shade of crimson.

Alice slowly appeared through the ground, and she was already screaming."Dusk Dusk! Water is attacking!" The white girl was freaking out. "What do we do?"

Kel slapped his forehead. "Yeah, that's not gonna fly. If Kiro really is the guy leading their attack then he's not going to buy it. We've met before. He knows I'm a neutral business owner." Kel reflected on that statement for a moment. It had been almost a week ago and alot had happened that day.
Kel shrugged and looked over in Maryl's direction. "Maryl, where's the Princess?"

Maryl whispered into Seth's ear while leaning on her shoulder, "We're in a little too deep. I thought we were supposed to remain neutral in all of this. It seems like they're trying to coax us to join their side."
Maryl turned her head in surprise hearing her name all of the sudden. She managed to catch Kel's question but it had come out of nowhere and she was unprepared. "I-I don't know."

"Yeah, I didn't think so...", Kel sighed. He shook his head. "Probably gonna have to stick to the 'lay low' plan for now. Unless someone's packing an entire battalion in their pocket. I have to go check my orders tomorrow..."
Seth shrugged, "I know what you mean but it's looking like we're caught in the headlights too. I guess it depends on the direction the invasion goes whether or not we'll actually have to do something.", She whispered back. "I don't suppose you have an arcane distraction of some sort."
