My picture can't compete with flash thingies. Besides, I've been neck deep in work the whole week trying to finish up this mod thing before Halloween. Guess I did that for nothing Oh well, not enough time to actually do a really good one, but I guess I could still put up the ones that I did for fun sweatdrop

Ahh that's cool Adrienne biggrin I just feel sad for not participating in the contest though sweatdrop Sometimes life get's too busy sweatdrop I'll make one when i have the time for it + i'm not even done with the Guild Banner i mentioned long time ago xd The one for Shadow Legion smile
Anyways, i like to use Photoshop, so i'm just making the Banner for this Guild for the funzies biggrin It's not to be used because the competition's over 3nodding I'm just showing you guys and too get some feedback smile It's always nice to improve your skills biggrin
Hey Moo Moo, how long have you been using Photoshop and Flash? biggrin Just asking coz uhm, lol for the conversation i guess xd Oh hehe i can't wait to see what you'll dish out from your "menu" biggrin

Well, I've been using GIMP for quite a while now, though I could never understand their tutorial for animation/flash things. stare I've never done anything of the sort yet (though I have some pretty good ideas if I were able to use it).

you could just get a GIF. animator... their pretty easy to use, I have one and the only problem with it is it's a 'trial' thing and I only get 8 more uses

I used Macromedia Fireworks; its a relatively simple program to work with and as long as you understand the concept of new frames; its not all too hard.
It's when you need to use sprites that it gets complicated... I'm still working on my ability to choreograph a sprite battle... sweatdrop

My Conclusion Okay, first of all i wanna say what a great job you two have done and i'm kinda sad i wasn't able to make it through to create a banner for this Guild sweatdrop
I'm very busy with my own banner for Shadow Legion (my first Guild that i've joined) and really, omg it's taking some major a** time to create confused Hehe the good thing is, i'm really enjoying it 3nodding
Anyways, Noir and Gold Dragon, i like your banners and i think it's quite funny biggrin That's a good thing 3nodding To be more specific, i prefer Gold Dragon's banner smile
I've been looking at the banners and doing some tests for about 10 minutes now and the one that captures my eyes is Gold's banner smile
The reason for that is the coloration. The first thing i see is the Captain on the left side of the banner and my eyes kinda follows the text "The" after seeing the Captain. It's getting interesting and i want to see what's next. So capturing a persons attention is a very good thing.
We all see things differently and i'm one of those who likes coloration and a good design or something that stands out. The reason why i didn't choose yours Noir, it's because you had too much "black". Yeah, White stands out in a black background but yet, my eyes were drawn towards Gold Dragon's.
It doesn't mean yours is bad at all, it just means i was more into Gold's than yours smile Once again, we all are different and have our own taste.
By the way, how long did you two take to make the banners?
Another thing, if it was me, i'd have done something different. I would've made something more "unique" in a way. Well the reason for that is because i'm a perfectionist and like to do things differently 3nodding Therefore it takes some major time sweatdrop I enjoy though smile
Anyways, i'm still glad to be able to vote and see what you two have done biggrin Once again, great job you guys biggrin
