Minandreas
I think Salvatore needs to make a little 1 chapter outtake or something where he puts Jarlaxle, Robillard, Athrogate, Some of the Harpells, Ivan, Pikel, and Pwent, all in a room together and just has them make quips and jabs at each other.

I think I'd die of laughter.

'cause I haven't gotten that far in the book, I've never read an incident where any Harpell and Jarlaxle meet. I wonder what would happen. Any sane character would probably run from the vicinity.

Which is the fangirls are thinking this up... and fanboys.

I'm so ticked because I've read all the LoD books in my library, and that doesn't even reach The Legacy, and I can't just buy them all because I need to keep up with the Pathfinder rulebooks since I'm DM, and I can't get an inter-library whatever loan because my library does everything so slowly! Ah, all this awesome humor and I can't understand half of it!

Going back over this thread, with people complaining about lack of interest in their favorite series and all the yaoi humor, it's strangely similar to my clan's chats. I need to find some way to drag Kasumeh-chan on here. She only knows a little about LoD from me, but she might think Jarlaxle's hawt, and she'd definitely enjoy all the yaoi humor.

She'd be averse to reading the novels, but maybe I could get her to read the graphic novels.

Me neither. And I'm not allowed to until I'm sixteen.

What the-- *groans* You said you're going to 8th grade, so at least 13 or 14, right? You've seen enough violence and sex on TV to make anything in a book pale in comparison. >.>

Actually, I've never seen sex in TV, and my mom also monitors the violence level. Coupled with the fact that my TV has practically no channels, I was more innocent than most of my peers until I met my clan. So my point, that I already know about a lot, does not stem from TV but from middle school.
The point is the same, but parents can be irrational.
I'm 13 btw.

HA! Parents are always protective. And they like to think that their children are innocent. My mom still wants me to cover my eyes when there is a sex scene...or even a kissing scene and I'm going to be 17 in a month....

Well...if you don't watch violent shows or movies....there are still violent video games... Does your mom control those too?

She doesn't need to. I don't really play video games. Though, I keep the gore down in D&D when she's playing.

But gore is so fun. Darn.

You can get violence or whatever you want on the internet now....she's kind of just delaying the inevitable.. youtube..urbandictionary...whatever.

I guess enjoy the protectiveness while it's there?

I just don't see the point of protecting your child from the violence/sex/etc. It'll be nigh impossible for our generation as parents, what with the easy access to it all.
