Kaidan Magnavox I like Supercar's Be PV because it makes you think. Or, at least, it made me think. My friends and I had discussions on what was happening and why it was happening, and we came up with several interesting theories, that are most likely not even close to what was really going on. sweatdrop We kind of did the same thing with Wonderword....XD Supercar PVs are surprisingly thought provocative! wah! i'm late again gonk but i just gotta say, Last Scene was probably the first pv to make me beam with happy... i don't know why, and i can't say why, because i didn't understand the lyrics at ALL, but the pv just made me....happy... and no other pv has really made me feel like that, so ah.... i know that this isn't about whats your favorite, but i just had to say it ^^; it was a very very wow-y pv. and i do have pv's i'm not a fan of at all, but it's too early to think... i'll get back to that....

Busty Biohazard I volunteer the worst PV in existence, "Jishou Shounen Terrorist" by Nightmare. I think the beginning might've had something to do with the song...but then it digressed into a puppet show. It's probably the most horrible thing EVAR. they have 2 pvs for that song. the the one everyone has seen, which amuses me, because they're pretty much doing dorky stuff like sendai kamotsu does. Other than that it has no artistic value. >.>; and then the other one, which CONTINUES with the cool stuff that they tease you with in the beginning, which nearly no one has so no one can share it.

it seems that all vk-indies bands, MUST have an obligatory 'we're in the woods!' PV. (that or 'we're in the middle of a field!')
Can we name them all? probably not. Ones off the top of my head:
Vidoll - attempting to do the in the woods, but lack of funds provided them with the park around the corner. 'hey, the park has tall trees'
Due le quartz - manji karame - yay. look. we got a drumset in the woods!
Hanamuke- middle of a field
miyavi - ashita genki ni naare. - 'look at me be a bum with a shopping cart in a field' (i know there was more purpose and direction, but it was a DUMB PV, so it gets to go in the obligatory catagory whee )
milphinne - they get to fit. the first half of their pv was one long shot with bad camera angles, on the top of a roof.....

not to be a**l or anything, but wasn't due le quartz's obligatory 'in the woods' pv for jisatsu ganbou? i only remember this because it, along with the making of video, were on a burned compilation cd of my friend's and i had to watch it 50 billion times as i was trying to figure out the files on there, and put them in order to record them to vhs for a jrock room video segment we were running at a local con...
i can't remember off the top of my head a specific pv, because they're a pretty old vk band anyway, but i'm pretty sure that la mule had an obligatory 'in the woods' video too. or something like that.
ahaha, i remember that vidoll video. the cars were just hilarious.
for actual artistically lovely videos... hmm... i've got a slight bias, since i can't really download pvs and therefore haven't seen a huge variety of them... but shiina ringo's gibbs pv just adds so much atmosphere to the song... it's like a dark/goth version of nirvana's heart-shaped box pv. i absolutely love it to death.
and i don't know, but somehow the imagery, lighting effects etc. of laruku's niji pv suited the dark feeling of that song. i like the irony that the pv for a song called 'rainbow' is mostly starkly monochromatic... makes the colour in the green nailed apples and those butterflies so vivid by contrast. probably my favourite laruku pv.

You can't leave out La Royque de Zavy's Moonlight Hakuchumu....they may have been parodying it, but it still existed. Blast - Kao no Nai Tsuki...so forest moonlight indie.

gonk If we keep mentioning the cesspool of indie VK PVs set in the forest, this thread will start rotting with the foul stench of fangirl. crying Much like the Rafflesia flower smells like rotting meat to attract flies, the mere mention of shitty VK vids will bring forth fangirlism. gonk
WE NEED A DOSE OF GOOD PVs, STAT!|

Shiina Ringo's video for 'La Salle de Bain' is a wonderful dose of something OTHER than shitty VK. biggrin And you know WHY this video is so awesome? Because Shiina Ringo can afford to have uber sexy CG effects. And you know why THAT is? Because she is the perfect woman. Not only is she hot, she's also amazingly musically talented, PLUS...SHE'S ******** NUTS! Yes. She is perfect. I wish I were Shiina Ringo.

Meisai was good too but too many things happening at once hurt it a little bit. Kuki creeped me out - in the good way - and Identity has cowboy Ringo which is just 100% awesome. Fortunately, I've never seen an indies VK PV. And I don't plan on changing that.

I love that video. She's got so many great videos...right now I'm watching her being dragged around behind a horse in Identity. Like I said....nuts.
