"Hurmphf" The dwarf placed his axe back onto his back.
The taller one moved the torch closer to his face and you realise it isn't a him at all. The dwarf's comapnion was a female orc; half a head bigger than Vincent.
"Sorry for his little rudeness. We've went down a flight of stairs to this wretched place and can't seem to remember where it is. You wouldn't to know how to get back out would you?"
"We're Oonleh down 'ere because of ye and your bad memory."
"Well, why don't you know?" The robed orc bent down to look at the dwarf eye to eye. You think you saw him redden slightly.
The orc made a clicking sound with one of the tusk-like teeth protruding from her jaw. "Well, I guess we're in this together. This shorty he-"
"Eh! who ye callin' shorteh? And I c'n do me own introduction. Me name is Jolnir; Of the Stonerunner Clan fro-"
"And I'm saving you from a long story. I'm Quiatra."
"Doun't cut ma ouff again, little mon-"
"Lets just get out of here. All we've been able to find were the occasional zombie."
~+~
With lightning quick flash-steps, the death-knight appeared almost out of thin air to absorb your energy-blast. Rushing forward, a small blade clicked out of its holster upon his shield and bit into the side of your force-field. The air around it was extremely cold, but it barely moved into your personal space before being disrupted by your force field generator.
"Carcassi! Move!"

Alchemist's Staff [4 E] Gain +2 for every potion which deals magic damage, in your inventory. You however, manage to slip by the Death-knight due to the fact he stood a good head or two higher than you or his comrade. Your fist impacts with the creature of the night, sending him stumbling back. Suddenly, the vampire took action. Spinning his staff into action, he revealed a spiked tip. With an acrobatic leap too similar to Bellamin, he landed to the side and slashed forward. The blade bit deeper into your forcefield, destroying it in an explosion of flames.
You collapse, to the ground; almost '100% dead'. Surprised by your surival, they ready themselves to fight again. Laz: 1/20 [~Endurance~] [~Anti-Wisps (5x cool ~] 8 [Special-Attackl] Dirgus 3 [Attack] Carcassi 34 [Flame-Strike]

( Can I ask how my attack was negated? Ridel doesn't have any unique abilities or anything of that nature, so he'd have to use stunning blow, which still requires a roll for sucess. we are both characters, in essence.... or is there something I missed? Also why's did his attack deal 4? I have 2 defense aginst his 5 atk? And vampy boy has 1 item too many. not to nit-pick, but 2 elixirs, 2 gems, and 3 frost pots is 7, plus 5 is 12, when he only has 7, plus 4 (2 standard pots, 2 bonus pots)
With a slight spit, the saliva mixed with blood, Lazarus stands up, and whipes off the corner of his mouth. "Is that all that you've got? It'll take more to bring me down." With that, the mage reached into his pocket, and drew out his Goblin Patroller token, throwing the coin directly at the Vampire. Drawing upon the power of the hand, Lazarus fortifies his defenses. Then he takes another essense from the rib of the crypt, and re-enforces his life with the force field. He knows that if this goes wrong, he's in trouble, but then again, they can either stay alive, and he'll be fine, or they can take them down as he goes down. He then grips the mana sword, remembering it's abilities. The first effect is based off his own pouring of mp into it, the second would be fully charged, based off recieving 10 spell damage... the 30 points from last round would fully charge the effect. The last ability would also be charged, Lazarus himself having cast 3 spells so far. If only he could last long enough for the true power of the blade. But his options were limited...
Shaking his head, Lazarus fules his spells, creating first one, then another golden orb of crackling energy. The two Energy Burst spells glow in his hands, as he looks at the enemies, "We can end this peacefully, and all go our seperate ways... Or more than one of us can die. Are you really that secure in your undeath to continue this fight? What about your commander? How happy is he going to be if you both perish aginst my spells?"

okay, where to begin
Defensive Hold should be Guard. Makes more sense as the knight doesn't have CD
It was guard [Defense]x3 of ANY damage which saved him
I edited that thing a good dozen times. Forgot to put it at 4E
Added the extra 1 HP from that 1 point I forgot
Took away 4 due to (12x2)+(5x2)=34, not 30.

((First die= stun attempt. Second ((Carcassi)) and third ((Ridel)) are for status undead just in case. And sorry 'bout the mistakes; ^.^;; was kind of in a rush because I had to go to bed.))
Ridel takes the blast head on and shrugs it off. Carcassi however, isn't so lucky. After releasing a burst of energy from his staff, he is blow across the narrow hallway. Smoking and still on fire, he stands up; shakily. Timmy attacks him with vigour, but the vampire still gets up. His smile fading, he manages to shuffle away from Timmy in order to strike at you. "You attacked first, we're just retaliating; besides, I gotta get home to my wife soon."
Ridel runs forward. "She'll kill us both..." And with that, swings a chilling slash in your direction.Laz: 3/20 [~Anti-Wisps (3x cool ~] 8 [Special-Attack] Dirgus [-Negated-] [Attack] Carcassi [-Negated-] [Stun-bolt] Carcassi

Lazarus pauses in his spell casting, and tilts his head, "I am sorry, I will cease my casting. I should have taken your offer origionally, but greed over-took my reasoning, and I thought I wanted your weapons. I realise now that is not what I am looking for, and sincerly appologise. I know I can't amend the damage I have done with words, but I do hope, one day, should we meet again, it can be on the same side of a battle-field."
With that, Laz took a step back towards a different exit than the one he had enetered in origionally.
(Not bad, eh? 2 rounds and I'm still alive after fighting a total enemy party of 70, which is more than double my own level. Besides, I only need the staff for one more round, to heal and with a use of the sword, I'd get 16 hp, putting my at 19. I'd take 8 from the SA and 10 from the spell, leaving me at one. I'd summon more wisps, and his luck should run out, leaving their defender without a means to attack. )

"I'm Karythelia," the bard introduced herself, with her usual cheer," And that's Vincent." She gestured towards him with her lyre. Hearing the word zombie made her flinch, that scent made her skin crawl. The torch light illuminated the pitch black of the passageway. She took a look around.
"So how'd you guys get down here?"

"They fell...like us. Only they didn't do it on purpose." Vincent explained to Kary. "As she said, my name is Vincent. Pleasure to meet you. And we should speak sometime, Jolnir. We had quiet a few dwarven clans under the mountains near my home. Perhaps you know some of them. And as for the nasty little zombie problem, you're traveling with a paladin now. Undead don't frighten me in the least." Vincent looks around, heading in any direction other than the one that the dwarf/orc took and the one he himself took.

"Weel, I probableh knew a few ouff 'em. Me clan ran on ouff tha' biggest stone quarreh to the north of 'ere. 'Course me fathar oonleh dealt dwarves."
"You two bring supplies?" The orc reached into a little pocket and extracted two vials of viscous grey liquid. "My sect always made these in massive vats; sort of an old tradition. Here, we have friends upstairs with plenty." She hands you one healing potion each...
The only major change in scenery you find is the humidity. What once was very arid was now actually pretty moist. Bits of bio luminescent fungus added to the dim torchlight here and there.
Suddenly, you hear noises up ahead. It sounded like several zombies death-rattling, mixed in with about a hundred rusty hinges... ~+~
((Mabye I should've brought out his token... Ach, ohwell.))
The Death-knight picked up his fallen comrade and crushed the purple vial. The strange liquid poured into his fanged mouth. "You better hope this works; I'm the one who's going to break the news to your wife you know."
With that, he slings the vampire over his shoulder, carefull not to puncture Carcassi on one of the numerous spikes.
"You fight well, Half-Life. I hope so too." With that, he runs down the corridor in the other direction. Apparently to reach the surface.
You open a rusty reinforced door. Amazingly, it doesn;t creaks as it opens up into a large stone room with stone sarchophagi lining the alcoves. Due to the near lack of markings, this looks to be some sort of civillian area. Up ahead, you see a large tarnished chandelier, and a small pack of zombies feeding upon something directly below.
*It reeked of oil and death. The chandelier's metal chain which held it to the roof was extremely rusted and worn; any large or magical force could snap in easily. The zombies haven't seen you yet...
Suddenly, one of the ten zombies smacks its head into the wall. A small hard leather flask bounces out from atop a ledge and lands by your feet. The zombies perk up at the noise.
??? potion
Ten zombies, catch your scent mixed in with the scent of lighting oil.

Lazarus contemplates his options... well ten Zombies may or may not be a challenge... unsure, he races to the hard leather flask, grabs it, and with a silent prayer to whatever gods might be listening, begins to drink it down. As a last minute thought, he stops, and places it on his belt, before focusing his healing powers on himself, enhancing the spell with the staff of mist, knowing his luck will run out eventually.
After that is taken care of, he looks at the zombies. He can draw upon the power of the rib of the crypt, but that still won't give him the real power he needs to combat this threat. With a sigh, he shifts his weight back, and focuses on the hand of the crypt, fortifying his stamina. with a last thought, he activates his force field, further protecting his life.
Use: Staff of Mist Use: Hand of the Crypt (+3 def) (c1/3) Use: Force Field (+10 LL) (c0/3) Cast: Heal Hp: 20/20 (before effects of potion? after?) Mp:1 AP:3?4?
As as after thought, in a moment of brillance none of his own making, Lazarus looks to the cieling, noticing the large chandileer directly above the zombies. Instead of saving his mana, he quickly fires off an energy burst spell, aiming it at the chain holding the large stone light source to the cieling. As the spell leaves his fingers, he bows his head and thanks the gods that someone is looking out for him. ( razz )
( Edited: decided not to use the potion... no need maybe?or something)

[[ Well I seem to be not reading certain sentences in my obvious brilliance! xd ]] "That's quite nice Vincent but can you stop that horrible smell too?" Karythelia whispered, wrinkling her nose and smiled. The hinges probably meant they were near gates or doors of some sort, or underneath them. The glowing fungus was quite an interesting sight.

"I would be glad to..." Vincent says with a smile as he draws his sword. Chanting softly he infuses the blade with holy energies. "Follow me." Vincent says as he tears off down the hallway and into the zombie hoard beyond.
Vincent will attack three seperate targets for 10 damage each and summon Demetry to attack and smash another target.

Sheer slaughter.
The rusty chandelier drops down upon the zombies, catching all many and smashes through the ground. Limbs tear off as the undead unwillingly follow the lighting fixture through not only this stone floor, but about three others. That was a heavy chandelier!
Once done, all there remained was the zombie who smashed his head on the wall. He was far enough not to be caught in the chandelier's arms, or fall into the hole like one did. It groaned and sought the person who wrecked his little group...
Zombie will attack and use an action if necsicary.
Zombie stats are same as the monster list
~+~
You hack your way into the zombie hord, but they don't have anything to retaliate with. You realize that they don't even care for you, but rather some cadaver of some random mage lying upon the floor infront of you. All thirty-ish zombies looked forward; ignoring your prescence. Taking this as a stress reliever, Jolnir runs into the horde and begins to fall zombies like trees; fleshy, smelly, undead trees. Your eyes adjust once more to the darkness, and you spot what appears to be a large pack of mechanical wolves. The hinge sound was their growls. They growl and snarl, but not one seemed to take a step. Both sides, seemed to want this little bit of flesh. The zombies had a more obvious purpose. "Hmmm... Mechanical wolves? We must be getting closer to the slums..."
Suddenly, you hear a thump. And another thump. And another thump. And another thump as a flaming chandelier crushes the magority of the wolves and ignites the glowing moss in which lit the zombies on fire. Suddenly, the flaming zombies push and shove their way into the front lines of the remainder of the pack. And although the wolves had lethality, the zombies had sheer numbers.

Lazarus looks over the lone zombie. He thinks back to his study of the undead, and remembers the fighting style and strength of these monsters. This would be rather easy. He fings play over the spells in his collection, and he first pours some of his magical prowress into the Mana Sword. Then he turns to the Zombie, and unleashes an energy burst spell, the yellow ball of cackling energy hurdling it way towards the undead.
