Hahaha, everyone give Jean a warm welcome, and torture him until he agrees to share his creative writings! I'd like to turn the History thread into a general arts thread, but I have to get Wingless to agree first. Also, everyone say hello to my baby falcon! Allocen and Jean can attest to how very badly I've wanted him, and now he's here! I'm going to leave him as a baby until I put together more of the outfit that matches him all grown up. HAHAHA, of course Clocks! You must teach that class! Twilight is a terribly addictive monster, that in retrospect makes you go... wait... did I seriously just read that? Unfortunately, my friends, and my teacher, and my need to know almost every fantasy story that gets popular, are forcing me to read the rest of the books.
Alright, I will wait till December! smile It'll be suiting for me anyway, since that's when it gets all rainy and dark here, it'll be the perfect mood! By the way, I know my role in it! mrgreen Be very very afraid!

LOL I would pick up twilight to see what the heck is so terrible about it... but knowing my track record with really horrible sappy romance stories, I might like it razz . That and I have too much to read at the moment already.
Anybody ever read any of the Dresden Files, it's about a wizard p.i. and it's sound really awesome. I have been watching the series that the SiFi channel did, and it's really nicely done actually, and I know the book are better( everyone around me that has read them make it a point that they say that every time the topic is in a conversation).

I've seen the commercials for that, but haven't actually watched it. I hardly ever watch SciFi unless I make a point of remembering to watch Ghost Hunters XD. I have a bit of an annoyance for how much television I've gotten into watching... blasted good shows!
You probably would like Twilight for what it's worth as you read it ^_^.
OH YEAH!! Thought you should know that SciFi is showing dubbed Gurren Lagann every monday at nine I think... I personally think this dub is awful, but I'm glad SciFi is supporting such a great series.

Yeah I thought that I had heard something about GL playing on Sifi. I think it's awesome that is it. it will get more adults into it rather then a bunch of kids that think it's cool for all the wrong reasons.

Exactly. I wish the general populace didn't feel so alienated from anime just because young and clichy (sp?) teens try to make it into an isolated culture. I think it should be public media, gosh darn it XD. I want Death Note to show after House on Fox, and stuff like that. We shouldn't be so wary about it. The more channels take on awesome anime, even if the dubs are bad, the more other channels might follow suit.
I really don't like the GL dub though... crying

Yeah, or keep misunderstanding that the awful "How to Draw Manga" books one sees in the store are NOT true representations of the art. xd
Even chibi has an expressive style... *shakes head at cyberschool* though the definitive style seems to vanish as soon as someone who doesn't really know what they're doing gets their hands on it.
I thought of a great thing for me to remake that's Christmas themed! Whenever I'm settled with my own studio, I want to recreate The Life and Times of Santa Claus as an AWESOME movie. Thankfully it was a book first, so there will be even more material to work off then just the claymation/puppet movie. Has anyone else seen this?
