I say air elemental, it's usually such a sissy element, wouldn't it be great to have something kick your a** with a typhoon/hurricane or get suffocated when all your oxygen is suddenly taken away.

a dark element would be fun to fight or maybe a ghost. hmm...then yet again an ice element is fun to fight too.

Waffles McCoy Ooo! Ooo!! I vote for a Cadmium elemental!! It is known in the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm, and should therefore be destroyed forthwith!!!  Just LOOK how little regard it has for Proposition 65 AND your health!!! DIE, FOUL BEAST!! Oh, wait... Wrong kind of elemental.... Meh, chalk me up fer beatin' up on a Dark Elemental. Thems is some of the most annoying of all. For example, Dark Lich- Secret of Mana? Yeah- PAIN IN a** (well, at least he was for mah 12-year-old self back in the day..). And those dang Zombie Dinosaurs in FF6-- GrRrRAaghhh!!! Oh, and is it too late to really get in on this superpower action? Cuz if not, my special abilities are as follow: When my left ear is pulled down, it pops up a moment later and I then loose a round of Spinning Flaming Razor Death Eggos from my mouth. I can also shoot super duper hot.. thick... STICKY maple syrup from my wrists. Mmmm hmmm- that'll slow a fiend down. Oh, and then there's this nifty thing I can do with butter, too.... Many, MANY possible applications for that one. wink ?!?!? What are you, an item on the IHOP menu?!?!?!

On a side note, it took me a long time to figure out that IHOP and International House of Pancakes were the same restaurant. I don't know how, I don't know why. I can be a lil' slow on the uptake at times. ^^;;

My powers would be a combination of fighting hand-to-hand and ice habilities, using more the second ones.
In fact fighting and magic from the elements but if I have to choose...I pick ice

I'm going to make a giant paper airplane, and fly around throwing regular-sized paper airplanes at it... but they'll be controlled by my so they'll cut through it like... paper. ^______^

In my favorite RPG series Suikoden, there is the Wind Rune, which grants its bearer several wind-based abilities, including a spell known only as "The Shredding." Basically, it allows you to call forth a rush of giant sickle-shaped blades of wind to cut your enemies to itty-bitty pieces. Wheeee!!! You do learn stronger spells eventually with this rune, but still... I wants the killer blades of wind, dammit!! *sigh* I heart Suikoden....

May I dare to suggest a giant slime as the monster. With the ability to melt clothes but leave skin alone, it's one of the most perverted monster I know.
