Well, I'm not too surprised.
Because everyone dies.
And while everyone might come across love at least in their life time (and many won't know it) everyone dies.
Death is the ultimate equalizer. Rich and poor, young and old, everyone dies. Its a sad fact, but a fact none-the-less.

has anyone read that book "the 5 people you meet in heaven?"
i'm gonna buy it sometime soon, but i wanted to discuss it. it seemed right for this thread xd

I haven't, but I heard it's good.
I did read "the five people you meet in hell", a parody of T5PYMIH, but that sucked pretty hard... stare

XD well, I was raised to believe that you would be reincarnated after you die, so do good things in this life to have a good next life. I don't know..I'm sorta confused right now. confused

 That's really cool. it's like you believe in multiple religions.
a lot of people do that. my best friend's an atheist cept she believe bits and pieces of different religions

ninja Hmm... so far when I see people die... they definitely stay that way... maybe a body bag or two... eventually the grave. I mean, at least at the physical level they're pretty much done.
I've made what I'd like to call a sound effort in looking into the prospect of the afterlife and related concepts, but my life is all about hard-evidence and so far I haven't found any...
I've been to enough countries to see about 100 versions of God, and at least as many religions... each of them says they are right and everyone else is wrong. Usually at that point I eat a TACO and see what the locals are up to smile
Religion seems a lot like home cooking these days... everyone has their own and no one else's is as good as theirs razz
Anyway, before I blew a fuse trying to think much about it... I ate another TACO and called it a day.

Well, one reason why I'm Christian is because it is one of the few religions that REQUIRE you to believe in something. If you don't believe in Jesus, you ain't going to heaven.
But if we really do get reincarnated, if you're a good Christian, you've basically led a good life.
I do believe there is a God, because... you guys really want to know? I don't want people to be offended or something... Maybe I should make a thread about what people believe in...

3nodding Oh do tell, what makes you believe? I'm certainly not offended by one's beliefs, and though I can't speak for everyone, I think it's good to know what motivates people's faith. smile
