"...Yea, sorry Captain, I gotta bit carried away..." Zane mumbled, shuffling his feet and looking at the ground. He noticed the young girl poking his gigai with her shoe.
"What's your name by the way?" he asked her curiously.

Zane shrugged. He wondered if he was digging himself into a deeper hole, but they hadn't really intoduced. Unless you call finding out their names when they are being told off for being a bit over the top in battle an introduction.
"Um...curiosity? Anyway, I'm Zane...nice to meet you." Zane held out his hand to shake.

"No, not a tour. Where we...came from is where all the other shinigami are. We stay here to back up anyone who goes against the bad spirits like hollows and others."
He smiled slightly, then reached out and shook her hand.
"You still haven't told me your name. Or would you like me to call you Miko?" he asked.

"Yes, we call those Hollows. They live to eat other souls. We're here as a guard against hollows and stronger ones, because they are attracted to soul. It's quite hard to put into words, but think of it like this. When you have food, it has smell. Souls have certain smells, some stronger than others. When a food has more added to it, it smells different. The hollows go for the more different ones. Karakura is full of people with strong spiritual energy, so they get attracted here like flies. So, we're here to help stop them eating their souls. Souls, like yours."
Zane said, and put his hands behind his head.
"So, I'm guessing you don't mind being called Miko then."

Zane smiled, and walked over to his gigai.
"Something we made. Ages ago, I think they tried something on dead bodies, but the project was scrapped because it disrespected the bodies original spirit. So instead, they made things called Gigai, like this one, I'm not sure how they made, but it helps blend in with the human crowd. It also lowers the person's spiritual pressure to just above average, so it won't be largely noticable to hollows."

Zane caught it, and looked at Ikkimaru, then back to the girl. She looked uneasy. He got into his gigai, and stretched. Sometimes when you stay out of your gigai for short periods of time, the body needed to be tested to check if it was fully working.
"You ok? You look worried about something." he asked her.

"Fine, well, let's get moving. If we stay here for too long then Seireitei will surely send a scout to check what happened. Miss Miko, I would appreciate it if you did not speak of this with anyone. I've got a hold on what your spirit feels like so if your services are ever required I'll be in touch." Ikkimaru said with a slight grin. His comment about being in touch wasn't actually for her services. Anyone in the Gotei 13 was capable of doing what a Miko does in some form or another. His real objective in telling her that was to make her know that he could find her if he needed to for good reasons or for bad. He had no intention of hurting this girl, but if she became an annoyance then she would have to be dealt with.

So the Captain turned and began to lead the way out of the mall, "Come on, we're going back to Urahara's. Ichigo, I would appreciate it if you would stay here and watch our backs for us. Your assistance would be most helpful. Please." Ikkimaru was so used to giving orders that he often forgot that Ichigo was not part of his squad and saying please was the polite thing to do.
