No worries. Its slang, sorta. I forget people don't speak my language.
A buckle cut is when your dancing in irish hard shoes, and when you bring your foot up for a "cut", (Movement where in you take one foot, and bring it up to your other legs hip bone. http://blog.nj.com/entertainment_impact_arts/2008/01/medium_trinity.jpg
The girl on the far right, if she had the leg thats kicking her butt down on the ground, she would be doing a cut....)
Any way.
When you do a cut in your hard shoe, your buckle that holds the strap across your ankle...

The little sliver thing is the buckle.)
That sometimes slices up your shin on the way up. I have had up to five scratches on the same leg once. Not pleasant.

Oh, damn it hurt.
And I wasn't allowed to stop for such a silly little thing either.

I mean, I can understand going on after you've gotten the finger back in place, but about the cuts on your legs and feet.

Yes. Ouch.
It is cruel. And people wonder why I hate it so much.
I'm a whimp. If something hurts, I don't want to keep moving it.
If every time I pick my leg up for a swing, it makes a poping noise and hurts, I logically want to sit down and put ice on it, not do swings for an hour.
If I have a peice of metal (The sprocket thing that holds the leather in a loop for the shoe lace) stabbing me in the top of the foot, I do not want to continue to point my toes and smile.
If I am bleeding.
Broken.
Crying.
Pained.
Or acheing.
I some how don't enjoy dancing.
People just do not seem to get this.

So? That just means your obviously insane.
Just because you've danced on a sprained ankle doesn't mean its okay.
Its stupid, either way.
(Though I did it once. It was not fun.)
