Entering the Living Quarters, a rather confident looking woman walks swiftly through the halls of the section of the large castle for living quarters. Long, snow white hair fell down to near her knees, and large, dark blue eyes peeking out from beneath her bangs. Adjusting the strange headpiece, she fidgets a bit longer with the large black gem that was the center of the whole thing. "I heard that my favorite half-demon has returned!" she announces, entering the room of Mori. Finding her laying there asleep, she wonders why her slightly loud entrance hadn't awakened her. Knowing a bit about these demon types, she leaves Mori's room, and kicks open the door to Jon's. "What's happened?" she demands, hands on her hips. "Mori didn't wake up like she was supposed to when I kicked in the door." it seems the captain's a little impatient this evening, probably because the Head Honcho over at the Holy Knights didn't come when she had been waiting. Not really caring either way, the white-haired woman worries for the girl's sake, ready to blame the whole thing on Jon. Thanks to her little curse from Daddy, she wasn't allowed anything more than a friend from a man. This had, in turn, caused her to blame them for near everything, and with good reason. Turning around, she half flies down the hall back to Mori's room. "Wake up, Mori." she demands half-heartedly, standing by the girl's bedside.

Jon jumped up and landed on the floor hard with a thud. He had just gotten back and already he was being yelled at for something. "She..she was fine when I left her." He seemed a tad intimidated by the captain's words. Wait did she say something was wrong with Mori. All other thoughts left Jon as he grabbed a tunic and ran back to Mori's room to find the captain trying to wake up Mori, "I...I don't understand. She was okay when I left." Well okay was a bit of a stretch but he had thought that to be part of her powers, "Her powers went crazy again, shattered a bottle of wine and another of Black Lotus." Jon was in sheer panic mode. Could this have been what the dream meant, was he actually loosing Mori right now, like this. Why did the god's always take what was good to Jon?

"Oh shut up already, you're just making more noise." she waves a hand at him, angered because he'd allowed this to happen. Glancing around the room, her head whips to the side as she notes the open journal. Her headpiece flies off, possibly hitting Jon on it's flight as she seems to appear in front of the book. Skimming it, the woman simply stands there for a moment stunned. "Oh hell no." she curses, her face twisting into a rage. The expression was completely unusual, and she gives Jon the horror of seeing her angelic features twisted into an expression. "You IDIOT!" she roars, raising her hand to strike him. Her arm shakes, it seems the captain is extremely protective of her warriors. After a moment, her hand flies to her forehead, noting the missing headpiece, the Darkstone that kept her in control. Power does not necessarily come hand in hand with emotional control. Ignoring it for now, the captain sits down on the bed beside Mori, determined to wake the girl up. "Mori.....? Mori Dae, you must wake up this instant."

Jon caught the head piece before it hit him. Idiot, he hadn't done anything. He flinch in preparation when it seemed she was going to hit him but breathed a sigh of relief when she didn't. How the hell was this HIS fault? He decided not to ask. Instead he held the head piece out to the captain, "Um your head piece ma'am." The usual boldness that Jon had was no longer present. He was afraid now, afraid of loosing Mori, afraid of getting mamed by the captain. "If you don't mind me saying I don't believe ordering her to wake up is going to work captain."

Snatching back her headpiece from the boy, she fixes it back on her head. An instant calm comes over her as the stone presses to her forehead. She turns to Jon, her expression still deadly, yet calmer than before. The animosity had vanished from her features, but that made her no less likely to run this kid through with her sword and ditching the body in the forest for the creatures there. Sighing in irritation, the captain stands to face Jon. "If you knew anything of her people, you'd understand that she can't pull herself out. And unless your some magical high power, that leaves me.... but that's not why it's your fault. It's your fault because of what you're throwing away. What you are allowing her to throw away. Do you realize what that is?" she asks, staring at him flatly. After a moment, she whispers the single word. "Love." she turns back around, sitting beside Mori still laying almost motionless. "You don't realize why I'm so mad, do you?" she asks after a moment, her eyes remaining on Mori. "I'm cursed." she turns, extending her hand. Her expression changes, one that seemed wrong on her elegant features. Her hand rests on Jon's arm a moment, before a faint hissing occurs. Jon should be feeling a burning sensation where their skin met, and the woman captain turns away again. "When I awaken her, you fix this. Do you understand?" her attention turns suddenly back to Mori, moving the girl so that she now lays on her back. Her reaches out, cupping the half-demon's cheek with her hand. "Wake up, Mori." her hand glows faintly as the captain allows a bit of her energy to flow through the girl's skin, attempting to send some bit of it to her heart, her soul. "Mori, you must wake up."

Shifting slightly within herself, Mori's answer was tenative. She thought it rather than thinking, too removed from her body to speak. It still hurt if she let herself go. But the Moon couldn't ignored... That was the light she felt, wasn't? It wasn't her own powers, that was for certain...

Nayru? Je vera nara remari...

Those statements just irritated Jon. Hadn't he been trying? He loved her and he had been trying so hard to cling to her. She was the one throwing him to the side and that was what was hurting the most right now. It was true that he really didn't know much about demons and he was trying to learn. He had kept her from so much so far but he couldn't save her from herself, could he? "I know and believe me I love her to. I'm willing to die for her, but she is the one tossing me to the side. I love her captain, more than myself. I just don't know why she isn't willing to accept my love. That's what hurts. I'll admit that I'm fortunate to have had what time I've had with her but I want more. I want to see her every morning when I wake every evening when I come back. I want to hold her and comfort her when she's sad and laugh with her when she is happy. I..I don't want to live with out her captain, she's a part of me now. A part that I'm afraid I might loose or hurt."

"Return to yourself, Mori. You are needed here." she responds, noting the name used. She knew enough to know who Nayru was, but not enough to know what else she said. The moon? Well, the captain did believe herself lovely.... but the moon? Not quite that lovely. Not turning to look at Jon, she speaks to him after a long moment, not removing her hand from Mori's cheek. "If she didn't love you in return, she wouldn't be in this state. You are not to allow her to throw you aside. You must get the truth from her..... Go read her journal." she responds, pointing towards the desk with the open book.

Je vera nara remari... Je fari nir emi mori...

What could Naryu mean, Mori wondered as she came a little closer to her body. There was nothing for her there, nothing but the pain of letting Jon go... Just the reminder made her slide deeper into herself again, undoing any process she had made. It wasn't worth being there if it meant enduring that...

(Translation again: I do not understand... I am in your shadow...

The last phrase is only a literal translation. That saying is part of Mori's cultural mindset. To be in Nayru's shadow is to be disgraceful, unworthy of acknowledgement from others. Those in that shadow can not be seen or heard by people of polite society (supposedly))

Jon nodded slightly in response. He found the journal on the desk and started to read. His eyes ran over Mori's hand writing that was on the page. He glanced over it a few times unsure of what he had read at first but later committing the page to his memory. She loved him still, it was so apparent. The kiss in the stables had been real and not some sort of act to get him to cary her things. Jon had yo sit down to regain himself. He buried his head into his hands as a few tears rolled down his cheeks slowly, "How...How could I have been so stupid?" The question was rhetorical, he was talking to himself now forgetting that the captain was even in the room.

"Do not let him go, Mori Dae." she responds, shifting in the faint light so that her shadow moves with her. "He cares for you, and you must not give that up." she replies softly, stroking the girl's cheek gently. Her back was turned on Jon, no longer paying him any attention at all. "Your time has not come, you are not yet allowed to pass through." she rests her hand yet again on the girl's cheek, a small smile appearing on her face, though her eyes remain stern. "You must remain here, you must never again lie to the one you love."

Nayru... It had been drilled into her that Nayru's wisedom was unfailing. She was always right. If Nayru said to return...

The pattern of even, shallow breaths ended with one deep inhale, though her lungs protested the sudden intake of air, making her cough violently. However, burgandy eyes opened to see the world around her, the red beginning to fade back to the more familiar violet. Sparks of light returned to the disconcerningly flat gems, though no where near as bright as they normal were yet. "Nayru...?" she whispered hoarsely in confusion when her coughing eased. "Na... Captain... I don't understand..."

(Na--no. Last bit of translation. This was just so you knew it wasn't a typo...)

"I think you mistook me for someone else.... someone important perhaps?" she smiles, genuinely happy that Mori had returned. Removing her hand from the girl's cheek, she stands slowly, remaining beside the girl's bed. "Or maybe someone was speaking through me..... either way, if you ever do that again, my dear Mori Dae, I'm going to become very angry. Just ask Jon here." she lets her hand fall heavily onto Jon's shoulder, the action making a loud noise, but it shouldn't hurt. It was only meant to scare him a little. "Now if you'll excuse me, I believe there is something you need to tell this young man." she winks, obviously wiser in her years. Said years, of course, were not obvious. Her facial features were still slightly childish, middle 20's maybe. But as the original captain of the Dawn Striders, she was obviously much older than that. "If you have any questions, I'll be around... maybe in my office. Just call out, and I'll find you." with a departing glance at the two, the captain vanishs from the room.

A smile of relief appeared on Jon's face damp with tears. Besides a small flinch when he thought the captain might try to hurt him he remained still for the first few moments, unsure of the right words to say to his love. "Listen Mori..." His voice was soft as he pulled the seat to where he was across from the girl, "...I...I..." He was having trouble finding the words to say to the girl, "You just really scared me just now...I thought for a second that I might have just lost you forever...please never do that to me again...Mori there is no one and I mean no one who could ever be better for me than you. I love you Mori. I...I..." He had no other words but the ones he had told to the captain. He held her hands in his and stared deep into her violet eyes "I want to see you when I wake in the morning and great you with the dawn of a new day staring into your beautiful eyes. I want to come home to your warmth and smile. I want to comfort you when you are so sad that it seems like the pain will never go away and like the world is about to end and I want to laugh and smile with you when the days are pleasant and all seams to be right with the world. It doesn't matter to me Mori that you aren't human. That doesn't make you worthless. I love you for who you are and I can't take another moment of what you have been putting me through since we have gotten back. Try as hard as you might, I love you and I know that you love me and I am not about to give this up. I will fight an army of suitors for you, I will do anything for you and that warmth of yours. Please don't throw me away."

"Jon..." she whispered weakly, unsure what to say. The disbelief she felt, even now, was clearly reflected in her eyes. This man was far more than Mori deserved, yet he didn't seem to understand that... Or if he did, he just didn't care. But what if she let him have what he wanted, which was her to accept him as constant? When he grew tired of her, as he would seeing as she was stuck as a teenager for the time at least, he would feel obligated to stay with her... She would be little more than a burden then, something she always strove not to be.
