Yes! *shakes fist* I've been looking for one of these, like the Official Naruto Thread/Naruto Discussion Thread (most of the same people are regulars on both, me included).

Before you guys shoot me for inadvertantly talking about somthing in the anime, know this. I've seen the anime, and am just recently starting on the manga. Between reading chapters 59-61 and obsessively sifting through Wikipedia, I've got an idea what's going on. I'm going to try to be true to the manga, but if I mention somthing that's anime-only, don't kill me. I saw the scary blinky.

You should all get to know me well, my name is Ruingaraf, meaning "Red Wolf" in [J.R.R. Tolkien's] Elvish (even though it was supposed to be "Hunting Wolf", ["Farolaphadel", for those of you who care] but I messed up and now the name's stuck...). You may call me Ruin, it's a nickname that stuck with my friends on the other board because 'Ruingaraf' is a pain in the a** for everyone to type out except for me, because I type it every time I log in.

...and I am subscribing to this thread. And if I subscribe to a thread, I'm there. A lot. As in almost every day.

My favorite characters are actually most of them, (Not Barry the Chopper, and a few others) but in particular, I have to love the following. Roy, Hawkeye, Gluttony, and Scar. I will make it known right now that I am NOT a fangirl of any one of these characters, and I can actually type and think coherently.

Roy. Roy is so noble it makes me want to freaking CRY. I find it hilarious how his cheerful moods are miniskirt-happy and lazy-assed, but when he's serious he's cold and commanding, but with an air of sadness and regret. My friend and I had an argument on his nobility recently. I thought he was noble, but she had a point when she noted that he would throw away his life for anyone else who needed it. Therefore, she declared it a combination of outright stupidity and regret for his sins in the war. I nearly cried again because of his lines in the recent chapter about being only human, but protecting everything he could. Somehow, he strikes me as very protective of anything he holds dear, possibly because he's seen so many men in the war who had everything ripped away.

Hawkeye. I switch spontaniously between using her first name and last name, so forgive me. Her no-nonsense attitude is great, but you can tell, especially recently, that she hasn't always been this way, and she's actually a caring person with a resonable ammount os patience. I love dogs, and Black Hayate is awesome. Because he just IS. I love Riza's (god, there I go with the name-switching) interactions with Roy, and the depth of thier relationship. I'm especially drawn to how she's dedicated her life to making him the Fuher, and kills without hesitation for him. And yes, I support them as a couple.

Gluttony. I would have to say Gluttony is my favorite of the sins. I'm not even sure exactly why. He's definatly a little creepy, but his loyalty to Lust is amazing. You would think, sterotypically, that bad guys aren't loyal, but he's devistated after Lust's death. Also, being able to eat anything in your path is kinda cool. You also have to wonder if the guy is ever full.

Scar. You would think he's just EVIL, by the way he's introduced, but, as the recent chapters are showing, he has a past and backstory of his own, that's very tragic. I have to like the fleshed-out villians like him.

Recently I've been on a Fullmetal Alchemist spree. It never held an incredible nterest to me before, but recently, this manga wormed it's way back into my head. So yeah... that's a little about me. Nice to meet you all.
