Menos raised an eyebrow in confusion to the announcement by the guard of the odd looking woman next to him. Who? He took a deep breath and sighed. "Until certain things are cleared up, we will go with "General" for now." he set aside a stack of decrees he had been looking over to address his current visitor. "Now, what would you ask of your head of state, Baroness?"

"I am offering my services, abilities, life, etc to keep us from becoming like Earth. Our only attack on another nation was seen in utter failure. I know that at the time my would be love Kiro led the attack, but it ended in more deaths than any of us imagined!" She looked down at her hands, imagining the slightly webbed fingers covered in blood. "Let me serve under you. A siren is a very handy creature to have, not to mention a rarity."

"Well, you certainly show more determination than other ranked members of society. Though no, I wouldn't worry too much about us winding up like the Earth nation has... However, such a massive grab by Fire may be an attempt to force us out of the mainland as a whole. It may not be a massive loss to a sea dweller such as yourself but to the powerless people who depend on access to capital city and mainland trade it could be devastating. Our isolationist and complacent attitude in the past could be our ticket to exile. And, I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but unfortunately Kiro met his end."

He stood up and looked to both guards on each side of the entry doors before he nodded, "The first thing we need to do is claim some mainland territory. I'm not so sure about going for Omgitt Jord again Earth nation has probably fortified it since it's the last standing territory they have, so I would suggest attacking The Hillocks of Olynthis or Pelions Bay. Both are accessible by sea and would be viable entry points to the mainland. From what I've heard, the Air nation is experiencing a crop shortage and this will only be exacerbated by the destruction of earth's fertile crest. Otherwise, Air has been experiencing relative peace so I expect they aren't prepared for an invasion."

Cyra almost cried out in shock at hearing that Kiro was dead. Though she appeared the image of business, she was by nature a very loving creature and for a very long time had determined herself to win Kiro's heart. She bit her lip to keep herself quiet as he continued. Men die, it is the way of things. She thought as she then focused all her attention upon the idea of attacking air.

"Even I see that isolating ourselves from the mainland would be one of the worst possible things for our nation." She mused over in her head. Fire now owned at least half of earth, air owned the bordering mountains between fire and air. Earth owned nothing. Water owned nothing. Water and Fire were natural opposites. "Attacking air and stealing their land may be promising. But what if we took what's left of earth? Or weakened fire? If they're out capturing earth they would not be ready for an attack along their coastline?"

Menos thought for a moment, one of the guards held up a map nearby as Menos' eyes traced to it for a few seconds. He approached the map and began to point out locations as he began to speak,"While it does sound reasonable to take another section of earth or attack fire we have a few disadvantages:

Fire has fairly limited coastline, He said, pointing to Flamma City, "and what little they have is well protected. Untill we get a solid foothold on the mainland, we only have two islands with easy access.

Where Earth is concerned we have Omgitt Jord," which he pointed to, "which has seen a lot of warfare and likely is going to be under heavy watch.

Then there's Separated Seg," He finished by pointing across the map to the location of Separated Seg, "They may not even consider Separated Seg a loss considering the general noncompliance the jungle's tribal leaders had with the rest of their nation, I doubt it'd be easy to maintain a hold in uncharted territory with chaotic tribes looming around.

I suggest the Hillocks due to its proximity to our military structures in the recon isles," To which he pointed to just to the north along the coastline, "as well as four other islands have a direct route to it. Also, historically they haven't been very politically active toward earth or air, so a first target it seems to be the easiest. Fire should be on edge now. Perhaps we should let them think they've gotten away with genocide for the time being."

((I'm only assuming the world is round on this one.))
PostPosted: Thu Aug 06, 2009 6:45 pm

((It's round, but we're not nearly taking up half of it. We're kind of like a russian sized australia continent wise. Because in the future we were thinking of adding other countries/islands with their own species and such.))

Cyra nodded. "Then it is the best plan to go after the Hillocks. But should we gather more men first? I know there is at least another water user in Earth were I have been for the last few days. I'm not ever sure why Fire keeps taking their land, most of it's destroyed by now..." She thought aloud as she waited for any order or command he would give next.

"Well of course. That is to be expected. Actually if you're up to the task I would like you to gather volunteer forces. I have to formulate a strategy in preparation for an invasion." Menos held out his right hand to his side and snapped his fingers signaling to the recorder at the wall. The man stood up and approached quietly.

"Well from what I can gather crippling earth nation is putting the rest of the world in a vice. They likely have no supplies now that the farmlands were raided and incinerated. It will probably put air in a pinch too since they had a food shortage before, they probably have no one left to turn to for support now. If this was fire's aim they could potentially kill two birds with one stone. I can only speculate though. I wouldn't have guessed such an underhanded tactic would arise from out of the blue."

"I believe most would say it was to be expected after Fire had the only heir is I am permitted to say so..." She said in a whispy voice. "Yes. I will go and bring back as many as I can to fight Air." Her species was and was not complex, her tribe in particular among her people did not believe in human formalities. They showed their thanks, said good bye, and even greeted others by way of hugs, kisses, and gentle touches of the hand. They were created to sedduce and be marveled at as they drowned their victems after all. So Cyra walked forward and with the lightest of touches brushed his left cheak with her right hand, and then she was gone.

Menos spent the rest of the day at the map. He could only wait and see as to what sort of volunteer assistance would come int and figured time was working against him. If he didn't have a suitable plan lined up, then the comming invasion would only lead his nation down the path to ruin. After only a few hours he had devised a suitable plan. Working durring the waiting period wasn't the crippler, it was the downtime.

Menos sat upon his throne hiding his wracking nerves behind a calm and stoic face. He was fighting a building sense of both anticipation and dread, as he crossed his fingers and rested his chin on his hands, and practically stared a hole into the doors to the throne room.

[Enter] Mazuac stood, stunned at the sight of the castle as he awaited Cyra's arrival.

Cyra emerged from behind him and quickly made her way through the entrance. The guards that did remember her kept their distance, the newer ones once again tried to keep her out. "Hello darlings..." She cooed softly, using a bit of her ability to sway them. "Let me through before I eat your pretty little head right off of your neck!" She opened her mouth adn barred her pointy teeth. The enchantment was immediately undone and the guards who had seen her before pulled the ones who hadn't away. They made their way inside and Cyra let one of the guards to the throne room know she was back. He announced her presence and then added. "And Guest!" Then he departed. Cyra swept down the room towards the throne and stopped before the dias.
"I have returned with Mazuac. And there is also another who I am trying to bring aswell."

Menos sat quietly in the throne as he was enjoying break time to get his mind off the coming storm. After hearing the throne room doors open Menos sat up from his relaxed position and in attention to the visitors. Before he could stand up to speak, the guard to his immediate right leaned over and whispered something into his ear. "Is...", before he could finish he was cut off with another whisper. "Is that right?" The guard nodded and returned to standing in attention.

Holding back a slight sigh of dissapointment, Menos retained his business face and posture. "Welcome, Mazuac! Stand and be heard." He commanded. Though he could hide it, he was a bit disappointed that there was only a potential two.

[Enter]
(Sorry to be abrupt however I'm going to enter as if undetected)
(Profile is here, pic is there only though, for now)

Cold chills filled the air and ice creaked across the walls of the halls as a tall figure quietly strolled past frozen guards and entered the chamber before the throne. A cold yet gentle stare in his eyes as he looked upon the guards face when he softly spoke, "Sorry about that, I'm not that great with formalities and I'm in a bit of a rush". He then strolled further up the corridor and waited at the end waiting to see if they would notice or allow further entrance. Arms now crossed and slightly leaning towards the left wall as he stood staring out towards the people in the room, now spreading more chills into the spacious area.

(I'm not even sure I'm allowed to do that, but let's go with it. lol)

(It works)

Cyra felt a change in temperature from farther away. "My Prince, the last one that I spoke of is here!" She danced to the back and saw Verix leaning against a wall. "Quick, come with me." And she brought him forward. "What are your plans for us?"

(I hope he didn't forget about us here.
I was waiting for his reply then wondered if I should have.)

Though he was slightly irked when he was brought forward so quickly, Verix still maintained a steadfast composure as he stood in front of his prince. Even though he could care less about nobility and titles, he felt this man before him can finally give him a purpose and thus he kneeled with his head slightly inclined while awaiting patiently for his reply.
