Xx_Yuuki_xX DarkMusica I think the Japanese is much better... i just wish they would bring the LABB to life so i could hear BB omg agreed! the BB murder cases were so amazing! it'd be soooo awesomely amazing to here and watch the LABB murder case in progress!!! >_< i want to see BB and hear his voice. i like L's and Light's voices in english and japanese. I like Ryuk's too. Sidoh sounds a little funnyt but i think it is okay i guess for his character.

Definitely Japanese. ^-^ Although I am a bit lazy to read the subtitles and end up watching in English, but I may go back and watch the entire series in Japanese. ^-^

jdfreak123 I like them equally. I like Light's voice better in English, and L too, but for people like Near and Mello, absolutely not in English. I love Ryuk's voice in English. It's funny.

I'm gonna say english because I think they got everyone spot on but this is just my opinion I like the japanese version to but it was abit hard to read and watch the show at the same time.I alwaysthought if they ever made the Labb murder cases in a short anime B'S voice would sound like a combonation of Ryuk ,L,Light,and Near .

Hmmm~
I have to agree with most of you on this one. The Japanese voice actors sounds like they were chosen carefully, well... except for Misa-chan. The voices all fit well and actually end up giving life to the characters.
The English voice actors on the other hand sound a little rushed. Some of the voice actors were chosen well, a good example being the Shinigami, while some were... ahem... no so great. Personally I was a little disturbed that Light Yagami sounded like a high school kid through the entire English dub. In the Japanese version his voice gets a little deeper as he matures into an adult.
These are just my two cents~

Blizzard snowstorm i'm okay with both actually. i heart L's english voice also Know that I think about it... yeah!
They did do a splendid job with L's voice in the English dub~
