Shanna nodds to the bartender. "Something to fill an empty stomace please..." She said and then looked to the man questioning them. "We are just passing through." She said.

She nodded, "Whatever is the least expensive" and then turned to the man, "Yeah, just traveling around...you? "

The bartender nodded to the girls. "Right away." He then turned and yelled into the back for two regulars. After that he placed a mug of ale in front of the man next to them. "That'll be the usual four coppers." He then waited for the man to pay him.

He hands the bartender 4 coppers and picks up the mug. "Same here, I'm just passing through. which way are you heading? I'm heading south through the City of Eternal Night to the Crimson Tangle." he takes a drink of ale then set's the mug back on the counter.

Shanna looked over to Anii and then back to the man. "Well that is about the same direction we were heading as well. We are just out to see what is beyond the trees of our forest." She said.

She looked at the man silently for a while deciding and then said, "Why don't you join us? We could use some help around here since we'll be new to pretty much any place we go"

Davion took a good look at the two girls. "well, it seems that you two know how to take care of yourselves so I see no harm in us traveling together, but I worn you, lots of things can happen once we head out. anything from being attacked by wild animals, to running into a small orc scouting group. so if anything happens and u don't know what to do just ask." Davion takes another drink of ale.
A black cat appears at the top of the stairs and begins walking down the stairs. once the cat reaches the bottom it walks over to the two girls and starts rubbing up against their feet.

A bell rings and the bartender turns and grabs two plates through the window into the kitchen. He then places them down in front of the two girls. Each plate had some vegitables a bit of cheese and some bread. "You elves are not much into meat right?" He smiles a bit.
Then his face turns more serious. "If you go to the Crimson Tangle I recomend comming back north. That place is no where for a couple of young ladies such as yourselves."

Shanna smiles at Devien. "Thanks for the advice then. We would like the company." She said and then turned to the bartender. "What is wrong with us going?" She asked him.

She nodded and turned towards the bartender, "Thanks for the warning...but what's there that isnt fit for us?"

The bartender leans on the bar and speaks in a softer tone. "I've had travelers stay here that came north through the Crimson Tangle." He looked at Devien then back to the girls. "They tell horrific stories of men torn in half and spiders the size of houses."

Davion looks at the bartender and smiles. "that is true. there are many things in the Crimson tangle, each more deadly then the last. and it's also true that very few people ever make it to the other side. and some of the ones that do make it are tramatized by the experience it'self and are deathly afraid of spiders." Davion looks over to the girls with a grin. "but if u can make it to the other side with your sanity intact then what you gain is worth the trip in itself."

Shanna gulped. "S-spiders?" She asked. If there was one thing in the world she absulutly, posativly, 100%, couldn't stand more then 1302 feet from being near....was a spider....and that was a normal sized one.

The bartender shakes his head at Davion and then looks at Anii with a perplexed expression on his face. "Perhaps you heard me incorectly. Their are tens of thousands of spiders. The smallest the size of a man, and the largest the size of a house."
