Hi there! Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions for temporary black hair dye (comb-in?) that won't mess up my existing highlights? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Um hello. I need help with my L cosplay, for the Otakuthon anime convention in the summer! So far I have 20 bucks to make this cosplay, and I'll be getting more from my b-day, so I'll atleast be getting 20 more dollars! Do you know what kind of wig/ how to style it? I need to make sure it lasts, and looks like L hair. Also, what kind of make-up should I use for the eyes? How much should I put? What is boob-binding? How do I do it? Is it painful? Will it work if I'm a little flat? Also, tell any other useful info, like... posture, shirt, ect. ect. Oh, and btw, I'm a GIRL!

I would get a black wig a little longer than L's hair, so about sholder length? and I have a plastic foam wig head for styleing you can get them at any wig shop, or use a kitchen-aid bowl. use one part white glue to two parts water to style with and a coam or hair spray give it a trim... And wella! I ushualy buy my wiggs right after halloween when thay go on sale. you shouls use black eyeliner and smoky shadow. and boobbinding is just wraping a long bandage around your cheast to make sure your breasts don't show threw your costume. It will be tight but not painfull. L wig sight http://www.bestwigoutlet.com/_e/Men_s/product/FN70220/Costume_Wigs_Unisex_80s.htm

It'd probably be best to go to a store like Jo-Ann's and look through their books for a jacket pattern that's similar (don't know of any specific patterns that would work). Most likely you'll have to alter it a bit to get it exact, but you should be able to find one that's pretty close. The black lines could be painted on, but it might be tough if you have a steady hand or just aren't so good with painting (like me : P), or you could buy some thin ribbon and sew it on. It might take longer, but it also might look better in the end. As for the details, all I can suggest there would be to raid a craft store. I'm sure they have roses that you could paint silver (if needed) and attach in some way (depending on what they're made of, method of attachment could vary). Beyond that, I'm not sure I'd trust my own advice, so hopefully someone else can offer other ideas. Good luck! ^_^

May from Pokemon is a good started cosplay nice choice, for the top get a red button up shirt that fits, and if you’re lazy, take a sharpie and color the black part, and if you want to look nice, take a shirt of the same material but black and cut and sew. Or you could use fabric paints, or glue.

This is Alexiel from Angel Sanctuary: BAMI'm stumped as to what fabric to use for the corset. I've heard horror stories about pleather and I can't imagine how well real leather would hold up (plus I'd be caught dead before I'd drop the cash for that (yes, I meant to say it that way)). I would also like to use the same fabric for her boots and gloves... But again, what would be best? Also, for the dress underneath (it's a pretty simple design) I was thinking... cotton?

Hiya everyone. 8D I'm new here, and I need some help. I'm doing a Cloud cosplay for Anime North. I've never cosplayed before, so forgive my ignorance. I've been wondering for a while as to what I should use for his shoulder guard, to make it sort of bulge out the way it does. I'm assuming that I can find the shirt, pants and boots fairly easily, and my hair can already be spiked to his style. Can anyone gimme a hand with this? :D

I need help.
When I did my kiki cosplay last year I used my old pink bag for her bag, but now I've had to get rid of that bag because it was too old and nasty.
Where oh where can I find a bag like kik's ? I'll need it for this year's a-kon.
also do you all think using a coco kitty plushie would be a good subsitute for jiji? Since gaia is there i want to have something that would tie into my cosplay that the gaia people can see is from gaia

Okay I'm gonna try and answer everyone's questions as best as I can, if they're unanswered or if I honestly can't answer them ^_^;; I'm not crazy experienced in cosplay but I know a couple of things.
@KrazEELegaL: I wouldn't recommend the comb-in hair dye because if your hair is dark enough, the colors won't show, no matter what color or what color your hair originally is, you can see the comb streaks as good as day. Unless you want that look, you can certainly do that, but for the most part I assume you don't want that look ^_^:;.
Spraycolor can really only be pulled off if you have someone that knows how to really really put it on nicely. I had some help from my mom for my first version of my Terra (Final Fantasy VI) for the green hair, and a lot of people thought I was wearing a wig! Embarrassing picture cut. Otherwise...
...you're really better off investing in an affordable wig so you won't sacrifice your hair and do anything permanent. There's a seller on eBay named zhenna0036 who sells really affordable and lovely wigs, and a lot of cosplayers order from her. I personally have yet to order her, but I heard she's a great seller!
@Deus De Saturnus: I can't see your reference for Cloud sad ! His hair is pretty much the same for all of his incarnations (technically except for Amano b/c it's more wipsy, and Wall Market b/c of his pigtails on his wig)...as of the rest of the outfit, I'm assuming it's his normal FFVII outfit, but please clarify sad thanks!!
@Kahlan_BrightBlade: Awww yay Kiki cosplay, I love that movie! Using a Coco Kiki for Jiji is a really cute idea too, especially if you plan to go to a Gaia event at the con, or just want to meet up with some fellow Gaians there! Coco Kiki kinda looks like Jiji, but I think if they can readily recognize your cosplay, they can get the idea that the plushie is supposed to be the cat, since it is black anyway smile .
As of her bag, you might want to check into any store that sells jumbo bags, or better yet a thrift store might have it, since it is rather plain and won't have too much on it to be anything close to designer. You can also see if you can find it in a backpack/messenger bag section, since it is big enough.
@GundamIsGod: ...I'm not familiar with corsets or pleather at all, I'm sorry ^_^;;!! I'm a mere budget cosplayer as well, so I know exactly how you feel on getting more authentic materials like that. The material for her dress though is very flowy, so you should stick more to cottons like you said, or something like nylon or polyester would be good too. Cotton is readily available and affordable though, so I would recommend that. Her boots and gloves do look more pleathery or even..that stuff for rainboots and raincoats, which has completely slipped my mind at the moment. However I unfortunately know nothing about those ^_^;; sorry!!
Best of luck to you guys! I hope this came in handy ^_^;;!

Hello.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with a possible costume I'm trying to do for Otakon...
I want to go as Agito/Akito from Air Gear, but I don't really know where to start. I know they have costumes floating around on the net, but they're just WAY too expensive.
I kind of know how to do his jacket, but I'm confused as to how to make the straps on his pants...if anyone did this cosplay previously or just knows how to do it...please let me know.
Thanks.
