Adrelus decides that he doesn't want to be the last one through, and he quickly steps up, and enters the wall.

The room was furnished with quite a few tables, and coaches. Two doors led into the kitchen and the bunker. There were no windows, and only the people he had designated could get through, or anybody following closely behind. There were already several people there, who rose at the sight of Mark to greet him warmly. Then they took off to the side, and they talked for several minutes while the rest of the party arrived inside the building. Then Mark came back to everybody else. "It seems that my friends are a bit skeptical about your loyalties. This..." He swept his arm out, indicating the room. "Is the base of operations for the Resistance."

David waited a minute to follow after the small group, his battle claws ready for action. He walked towards the section of wall they had gone through, and hit the solid stone. The force of the impact jarred him, causing him to back up a few feet. He placed his hands on the wall, the battle claw's metal fingers covering David's own scratching slightly as he felt along the stone to find out where the group had gone Whoever they were, they had planned for the eventuality of someone following them.

He looked up the street as a man came running down it. The man paused by him, placing his own hand on the wall, waiting there to catch his breath. He looked up at David. "Tell everyone you see. Wake those that you know are asleep. We are evacuating the city, to save the lives of the innocent before Zeig arrives tomorrow. The back way out of the city, towards the mountians is all most know. Tell them, tell everyone."

(( Ok… I’ve added this guy Faeren, Jerik’s and Geroff’s profiles in my characters… I guess they’ll have a bigger part then I thought they would have… ))

(( But I was thinking Drayal, that Faeren and Mark can be the next highest in command of the Underground (beside the King that is)? Unless you don't want to, then that's fine o_o Faeren will just be it alone then. ))

After Draevis, the new messenger boy, saw Mark walk through the wall, he nearly jumped out of his seat. But when he saw unfamiliar faces follow after him, the new messenger boy did jump from his seat, and ran into the hall that lead him to the Head Council room. He barged into the room that was located in the back. Faeren and another one of the soldiers were talking in the back of the room, both of their back to the door. But both of them needlessly pushed themselves from the table they were leaning against, and turned on their heels at the sound of the door crashing into the wall. The boy’s face grew slightly red, but he didn’t hesitate to continue.

“Sorry to interrupt you Mr. Faeren, sir, but Mark has finally returned, and he’s brought others...” Faeren turned to the soldier, and mumbled a quick “We’ll continue this later,” under his breath as he walked passed him and towards the door. It didn’t take long for him to find Mark. He was just talking to the group that the boy must have been talking about.

“Mark. We must have been looking for you for the past half hour. Where have you been? Never the mind,” he said, dismissing the questions with a wave of his hand. “There’s more important matters at hand.” But his gaze shifted to the new comers that stood behind Mark. Nodding his head towards them, he asked, “But first, who are they?” His unwavering gaze meeting with Marks.

Brin stood behind everyone now, her gaze shifted around the room uncomfortably as there were people all around that appeared to be getting ready for a fight, who all starred in their general direction. It wasn’t what she would have expected, but then again, she didn’t know what to expect in the first place…

But then some other man came out of one of the halls, and looked straight at the guy they were following, learning that his name (as they knew his) was Mark. She studied the man, noticing his face appeared older than the men surrounding them due to wrinkles that were taking its place around his eyes, but there wasn’t anything about him that seemed threatening—even beside the fact that she was surrounded by people she hardly even knew.

"Faeren, my friend." Mark said with a grin. "This is Brin," He waved his hand at her, "Adrelus, and Evalyn." He grinned at them.

Faeren’s gaze ran over their faces. None of them would have made it this far if they were considered a threat. So, without further delay, he repeated the same news to Mark. “Zeig’s finally come for what he thinks is rightfully his.” He paused a moment as everyone in the room grew silent, then needlessly continued. “Zeig already knew he wouldn’t be leaving here without a fight, and only brought his pet dragon in hopes that it would scare us enough to give him what he so desire... He says he’s giving Gargoth till dawn for his answer, but I don’t think his word is to be trusted… In the mean time, the King’s decided that the whole city is going to hide under the Kraishier Mountains while we stay to defend our city…”

Evanlyn ignored Mark's grin, keeping her eyes off to the side and not looking at anyone. She got the idea that if they really noticed her, she would be sent to ihde with the rest of the population of the city. But the people who were looking for her would be there... No. She couldn't leave the city.

David nodded at the man's words, but stayed where he was. He continued scratching along the wall after the man left, trying to find how those he had followed managed to get through the wall in the first place. Poking almost every inch of stone with the tips of the metal claws he wore, he still found nothing that would lead him any closer to finding out the stange actions the ones he was following were doing. Frustration overcame him, and he struck at the wall. His hand scraped across the wall, the metal of the battle claws sparking with the rocks, and an eiry sound filling up the nearby street. He spun around, and walked down the street, removing the battle claws and putting them back into his coat. He looked back for a second at the wall, looking at the four parallel lines that raked across it, barely visable in the dim light.

He continued down the street quickly, no longer bothering about hiding. He sprinted down, and arrived at the inn, the boistrous noises of those inside still audible from without. Walking through the door, he whispered something into the barkeep's ear, then walked out, the man's booming voice telling them all the same message David had heard.

Mark nodded. "I will naturally leading the Resistance against his army." Mark walked over to the map. "I should be able to at least hold him back with guerilla tactics. None of our men are trained for prolonged battle." Mark looked up at the cieling, scratching his chin. "Alright. Take the citizens to the caverns, and then come back to take control of the army." Mark turned to look at the group which he had led into the building. "I'll take these new ones on a mission to take the head of the serpent."

Faeren smiled faintly, expecting nothing less. Nodding his head with agreement, he added, “As I said, I don’t trust Zeig’s word. Something tells me he’ll be attacking sooner than what he says, so take your positions quickly.” And with a quick warm handshake, he said, “Let’s pray that we live to see many more days after tonight.” His gaze flicked over the new faces one last time as he stepped back from Mark, and with a nod to them in farewell as well, he disappeared into the same hall he came through.

Brin felt a sudden excitement grow inside of her. After searching for so long, it was almost hard to believe this was happening as it happened all so fast. But this was big, and the feeling that this was real grew more and more. She looked around as everyone in the room started to get their weapons in their hands as the guy known as Faeren took Marks hand in a handshake, and with a quick nod (that she returned with a slight smile), exited the room…

Mark turned to the group of that had just entered, grinning. "Alright, you guys excited for this. I'll be taking you to the head of this army, Zeig, if I can get us that far. From there... Well, we'll see."

(No, Brin didn't leave! Faeren did!)
Evanlyn didn't seem to be affected by Mark's happiness. On the contrary, she scowled when he mentioned getting to Zeig.
