finally someone who gets the japanese title right! people say its "Tenku no shiro LAPUTA "! Its annoying and inaccurate (there is no L or L sound in the japanese language) any, i loved the movie, even though it was one of the earlier ones, its actualy one of the best ghibli movie. ((fun fact: the french title is "Le chateau dans le ciel", literally "the castle in the sky")) (the german title "Das Schloss im Himmel" literally "the castle in the sky", the russian title is "Небесный замок Лапута", roughly "the celestial castle of laputa"))

Laputa is a great film, in my view it's not as good as Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service & Whisper Of The Heart but It's still a great film in it's own right.

I love this movie! I've only ever seen the sub version. The dub version (what I've seen on commercials) looked a little bad... The one with Anna Paquin. It was like every shot I saw she was speaking in a different accent. I like dubs alot of the time, but I really don't want to see that one. Is it any good?

I LOVE Laputa! I swear I could watch it over and over and over again! The soundtrack is also one of my favorite (if not very favorite) Ghibli soundtracks. The story is great too, with those sweet Robots and stuff. I love it! 3nodding

watashi no favorite yo! wahhh!! i love this one! its my most favorite one out of all of them!!! whee i love it! wahh!! i love it! i love it! heart heart heart ... yea. so i really like laputa: the castle in the sky. its really good. blaugh
and the soundtrack is really good too! 4laugh i love the theme song! heart

heart this movie I saw it at my next-door neighbor neighbor's house I think that was when their cat attacked me for no reason xd anyway it was worth getting attacked by that demon cat. that cat is soooo mean!

I finally got to see this movie some time ago.
And it sure was worth it! >w<
It was super cute and I loved the fast but interesting plot. :]
A magical piece of jewelry sure is almost a cliché when it comes to anime, especially glowind pendants, but who cares?! It was cool anyway. :'P
Also, the robots were so lovely that I just felt like I should go and hug them all. >o<

Before giving up no any Hiyao Miyazaki's full length animes, I think that you should view each one several times. It's amazing how you notice something new each time you see one again. biggrin

AniMahler Before giving up no any Hiyao Miyazaki's full length animes, I think that you should view each one several times. It's amazing how you notice something new each time you see one again. biggrin one can even watch Miyazaki's movies without trying to find new details. I can't count how often I've seen The Cat Returns or Kiki just for the sake of the plot and the art biggrin
