While Lily went inside the PokeMart, Meg sat on a bench outside writing more things in her journal. She didn't need to stop in the Mart because she was already well-supplied. Besides that, she was making some real progress in her journal, which was actually filled with all sorts of routine ideas for contests. She had one routine for Zuzu halfway down. When Lily emerged from the PokeMart, Meg put the journal away. She was satisfied with what she had for now and she wouldn't be participating in contests for a while.
"Hey! You bought a lot of stuff in there. Hope you didn't buy too much. I told you I didn't mind helping out if you needed it," she said. Then she looked up past the PokeMart at the big building that was unmistakably the gym. Lily had to get a gym badge from there before they moved on.
"So, Lily...do you think you're ready to challenge Brock yet?"

[The new guy in the guild just PMed me and said he wanted my Ditto for his Staryu. I was like, um... okay? I was getting REALLY sick of my Ditto anyways, hope he doesn't find out it is kind of worthless. So yeah, once he gets to Viridian we're trading apparently.
Also, just so you know, he's my brother and can't do anything for himself. He's so out of it that he couldn't find the place to get the Pokemon profile so I had to PM it to him. That's why it says my name when he sent you the conformation thing.]
"Um, I didn't by too much stuff I guess." Lily scratched the back of her head. " I bought some stuff I needed. I also planned ahead and bought a couple of Escape Ropes for Mt. Moon. I like to feel prepared."
"Do you think you're ready to challenge Brock yet?" Meg asked her.
Lily violently shook her head. "No way no way! I need to train up my Pokemon way more if I ever hope of defeating Brock." She thought of her Ditto. If only I'd have gotten a better starter Pokemon...

((That's alright sweatdrop his RP sample was good though...and feel free to trade if you really want to. I mean, as long as you both consent to it, you guys can exchange whatever you'd like))
Meg nodded. She knew it would be kind of hard for Lily to beat Brock with only a Ditto and a Pidgey. Actually, it was probably close to impossible...but Meg didn't want make her feel bad so she kept her mouth shut.
"Don't worry about it so much. You'll be great," she said. All of a sudden something came to mind and her eyes lit up at the thought. "Hey! You know, lots of trainers in bigger cities are sometimes willing to trade Pokemon. Maybe we should walk around the city for a while and check out some of the sights while we're here? Maybe we'll even run into some people who'd like to trade with you."

[Since we're on the topic of his roleplay sample, that was nearly half of me. sweatdrop ]
Lily smiled. She knew Meg was just trying to make her feel better though. It is almost impossible to beat Brock with her current Pokemon.
"D'you really think someone would want this worthless old Ditto?" Lily winced at herself. Normally she wouldn't 'dis' her Pokemon, but she was kind of starting to get sick of the Ditto. Yes, she would alright with keeping the Ditto, she was just not so keen on it. "I'll go to the Pokemon Center and put it up for trade." [I was kind of thinking of the wi-fi trading] Lily became more cheery. "Maybe someone from a different city will set up an offer to trade. Ditto is after all a pretty rare Pokemon."

Meg nodded. "Yeah, you could do that too. That would be kind of cool actually. But I think we'd still have to wait a little bit for a trade to go through right? Let's go put your Ditto up for trade and then check out the sights around Pewter. When we get back, maybe someone will have traded with you?" she suggested.
"I hear there's a museum in this town. Maybe we could go check that out afterwards and then come back?"
((I only suggest this because its the only other thing to do in Pewter really and we do have to wait for him to get to Viridian right?))

[Yep, I didn't want to wait for him to get out of the forest. He's a slow typer. xD]
Lily nodded."Yes, I should go do that now." Her and Meg walked to the nearby Pokemon Center, and they stepped up to the tall counter where the Nurse Joy stood, waiting to serve.
"How may I help you girls?" The nurse asked.
"I'd like to put this Pokemon for trade and see what offers come through." Lily reached up with Yoko's Pokeball and gave it to the Nurse.
"Sure, I can do that easily." Nurse Joy smiled and walked off into a sliding door, coming back out seconds later. "There, all finished. Come back in a couple of hours and I'll see what came through." She smiled with her eyes closed and bowed breifly.
Lily stepped to the side and exited through the same door they came in. "Well that wasn't so hard." She said.
"I hear there's a museum in this town. Maybe we could go check that out afterwards and then come back?" Med suggested.
"I'd go for that." They both walked toward the museum.
[I assume we aren't really going to roleplay this, are we? Right now he is typing his post for Route one and it shouldn't take that long for him to catch a Pidgey and get on to Viridian. I can help him with the roleplaying, and I'll just say we came back from the museum after a couple of hours there and go get the trade down.]

A couple dull hours inside a small museum does wonders to young trainers. The museum itself wasn't horrible, but the museum curator seemed to be stalking them, curious to why two children came into the museum. Maybe to vandalise, steal, ridicule? The lady watched them the whole time they were in there. When the girls neared something of their interest, the lady would yell 'no touching!'. If they wanted were laughing at something that didn't have anything to do with the items, the lady would yell 'don't make fun!'. Two hours of a scary old lady following your every move does things that you aren't aware of. Lily came out of the museum aching to do something spontaneous, like kick a pebble across the street, or pick a flower off of a bush and put it in her hair, or something to give revenge to the curator for meaningless stalking. She ran over to a tree and started climbing the first branch. She sighed and climbed down. A relief of sorts crept over her and she sat down on the grass.
Lying down, she began to think what kind of Pokemon would be offered as an exchange for her Ditto. Maybe a starter Pokemon from a different reigion? A rare from her hometown? Or maybe a worthless Magikarp or Caterpie. She hoped with all her heart it wasn't a bug Pokemon. Well Ditto is an uncommon Pokemon, she should get at least another uncommon Pokemon in return. Maybe it was about time to go back to the Pokemon Center now. Lily nodded to herself and starting to meander back to the Pokemon Center.

"Nurse Joy!"Lily said when she entered the Pokemon Center. "Did anyone offer something for my Ditto?" She asked, suddenly getting excited.
"Why yes, actually. I just got an alert that a boy in Viridian would like your Ditto for his Staryu." Her eyes scanned the computer screen. "Apparently this Staryu is his starter Pokemon. He didn't want to have it but it was the only Pokemon Professor Oak had left with him. It also says that Ditto are his favorite Pokemon." She looked down at her.
Lily had three choices, according to Nurse Joy. Accept, decline and wait for more offers, or decline and withdraw the Pokemon from the trade. She only thought for a moment. "I will accept!" She said, stomping her foot on the tiled ground.
Nurse Joy nodded and pressed a button. A Pokeball appeared on the transferring device. "Here is your new Pokemon. Enjoy and please come back!" The Nurse said, waving her hat.
Lily thought of her future match with Brock. "You better believe I will."

Meg congratulated Lily on her new Pokemon. "You definitely have a type-advantage over Brock now." Then she remembered something Nurse Joy had said.
"Didn't Nurse Joy say it was a boy's starter Pokemon though? That means its still a low level. You'll have to still train some more though if you want to beat Brock. Does that mean its back to the Forest for us?"

"Yeah, I have a chance of defeating Brock now, don't I?" Lily began to jump up and down from exceitement. [clor=violet]"Here, take a look at it." Lily sent out the Staryu she recieved from the boy. She smiled at it. It seemed to be afraid and wanted to hide. "It's a bit shy right now, but I'm sure it will warm up. But I do hope it's not cowering from neglect. " She started to think of what the boy could possibly be like.
One: Nurse Joy said he hated his Pokemon the second he got it.
Two: He didn't want to have it as a starter.
Three: He apparently didn't give time for them to warm up to each other, because from Pallet he went to Viridian and traded.
Lily summed it up with one word; arrogant.

"Nah, I don't think so. I do have a plan to train it though. Aren't there trainers on the Route after the city? And wild Pokemon. That should be enough to raise it to a higher level. And then, after I beat Brock we won't have to battle all those trainers blocking to way to Mt. Moon!" Lily grinned. Planning wasnt' exactly her forte but she was trying to get better at it.

"Oh yeah! I guess the next route is an option," Meg said. She was kind of happy to not have to head back to the forest. She also heard that the next route was near Mt. Moon. There should be plenty of new Pokemon to see and catch there. She was eager to go.
"I hope the trainers aren't too tough though. Some of them may have already beaten Brock. We should be careful with our Pokemon. Good thing I'm stocked up on medicine. We may need it."

Lily nodded. She was glad she didn't have to deal with the bug Pokemon again. It was also and opportunity to see new sights and new Pokemon.
"They proabaly have beaten Brock... But like you said, you have a lot of medicine. I also bought my fair share of items, and I have two pretty strong back up Pokemon anyways." She twirled Pepper's Pokeball in her hands.
"So yeah. I think it would be a good idea to go." Lily said, putting the Pokeball back into her bag. She nudged with her head to the Route 3 entrance and started to walk towards it.

Meg nodded in agreement. She might challenge a few trainers herself. Zuzu and Chuchip needed the experience, especially if they wanted to make it through Mt. Moon safely. Plus, she was kind of eager to find some Clefairy on Mt. Moon. They were a favorite Pokemon of hers.
"Ok, let's go and train then! Off to route 3!

"Hey Maya . . ." said Yue to his little sister.
"Yeah?" she asked with a yawn.
"Why don't you just head on to the Pokemon center and get a rest? I'm going to go see if I can find a useful Pokemon for this gym on the next route." he suggested.
"Alrighty, then. Good luck!" she said as she rushed off for the Pokemon Center and her brother left for Route 3.
