The princess touched his hand , closing her eyes. She pictured her cousin's bed room where he should be. She clutched her father's broach in her other hand, her knuckles going white from the force.
For now her city had been lost but she would save it. Ralphon would help her, it seemed as though he was her only ally right now in this fight.

I slight fallnig senstation was all both of them felt as they merged with the shadows around them. It was over in an instant. The sensation fading from both of them as the enetered Joseph's room.
"You can open your eyes now." Raphon said letting her hand go. "Your cousin is still asleep." Raphon walked over to the door and took a peak outside. There were no guards to be seen, and the sounds of battle could be heard echoing throught the hallways.

Lisosta moved over to wake her cousin,"Joseph, wake up." She tried to nudge her cousin awake knowing they had very little time. "Joseph please, we don't have much time." The princess let her eyes wander back to Ralphon feeling worried and anxious. The sounds of the monster and possible others came to her sensitive ears. She wouldn't let this become the fate of her cousin.

"Ok princess." Raphon said coming back from the door. "I was hopeing to save a few guards but they have all went to battle." He moved to grap onto Joseph. "Take my hand again Princess, and this time we will end up outside the west wall."

She grabbed Josephs cloak and boots quickly making a bundle, before grabbing on to his hand. The princess was glad that she had stopped to help Ralphon earlier otherwise she would have been dead or infected by this point. His words struck her hard, none of the guards would live. Tere was no one else that they could save from this place.
Jseph would be the only family that she would have for a while. The elf didn't know how long it would e until he turned on her as well. Te blonde tried not to dwell on it but it was growing steadily much harder to do so.

The same sensation filled all three of them as the mellded into the shadows once again. As Raphon said after a moment of virtigo the walked out of the shadows of the west wall. The sun now setting in the east.
Joseph was wide awake now, and having a panic attack from the experience. "What!" He said startled. "How, why, where are we. Why am i not in my room?."
During this Raphon fell to the ground. The steal magic he took from that brigand always did this to him if he used it too much. His leg felt like it did that day when the Branarian almost took it off.
As the day feded the howls from the battle raging in the city grew more and more frequent as the infected swarmed into the city, but under the wall all seamed peacfull.

"Ralphon! Are you alright?" The princess kneeled down beside the knight that had saved her life and her cousin.She looked over to Joseph feeling her chest tightening. "My father's dead... and the castle has fallen under seige of the black plague." Tilting Ralphons head up into her lap she called water to her palm so that he could drink.
Using her other sleeve she wiped the sweat off his brow. he had obviously over worked himself and Lisosta didn't know how to show any other way of gratitude. At some point she might have even been compelled to kiss him but the nervous butterflies at the thought stopped her.

Raphon looked up and smiled at the princess. Taking her hand he brougth it up to his mouth to drink. He sighed after the water was gone and looked up to the Lisosta. "That is probally the best drink i have had all my life." He let his head rest back in her lap and let his eye's shut.
"The pain i'm suffering is from some old battle wounds." He ran his hand down the scar on his face and then ran it up the front of his leg. "I was seperated from my body gaurd and came accross an exceptionaly large soldier. I almost lost my leg and eye in that scrape." He then pointed to his belt. "This is what allows me to walk through the shadows as I do." He tuged on it absentmindedly as he explained. "I won it off a challanger, but if i use it too much." He took a deep breath and sat up. "It brings back the pain from that battle."
He spun around to face her and braught his hand up and placed it on her shoulder. "This is our country, and the three of us will restore it to what it was."

The princess's eyes softened as he talked about old battle wounds.Having to feel a reoccurring pain wasn't fair in her book. Lisosta sat listening intently to all the information. So the steel on his belt allowed him to pass through walls. "We will return peace to this land..." The princess couldn't hold in her tears any longer. Her mind going back to the promise she had made to he dying father. Holding the brooch in one hand she sueezed it gentley.
"Now you're together again..." Lisosta whispered. Salty tears rolled down her cheeks, the adreniline rush was gone leaving her with a raw pain through her chest. Joseph was all she had left.... yet could be gone just as easily.
With her birthday soon approaching her mind was set on fighting for the country though her heart was nearly shattered. Wasn't she suppose to be the strong leader and go on fighting valiantly? But here she was crying clinging on to a past that could never be healed and could never be changed.

"I'm sorry cousin." Jospeh said stumbling over to where the two were sitting. "But we have to mourne someplace else." Tears were forming in his eye's as well.
Rapon looked up at Joseph and back to Lisosta. "I think we will be ok here for the night." He said. "I think your infection will keep mine and her sent masked for the time."
Jospeh began to protest, but Raphon got up and took him aside. They both talked for a minute outside of Lisosta's ear before returning. "I agree with Raphon" Said joseph. "Will that be fine with you Lisosta?"

Biting her lip she nodded as the tears poured down her cheeks. It wasn't very proper to be crying like she was out in the open but it couldn't be helped. She shook from her sobs as she pulled her knees to her chest affectively making a head rest to weep upon. "I'll.. I'll...be..be fine... right here." She was grasping the brouch in her hand like a life line, it was quite a pity of a sight.
"Father....." she murmered through her sniffles every once in a while.

Raphon and Joseph began to make camp. Raphon had enough gear for a two person tent and opted to stay outside.
The night whent on. It was unsettling with the howls from the doomed city echoing constantly. Non of them got much sleep, and as the day dawned the broke there camp and began to press further north.
"Is everyone ready to move." Raphon said puting the last remnants of his gear away. "We have a long trip to the north where i think this all started."

The princess had cried herself to sleep that night though by morning she was almost as hard as stone. She was ready to fight,ready to kill the creator of the horrendous disease.
She at first nodded to the two males before finally speaking. "Good morning." at Ralphon's question she then answered. "I'm more then ready."
Even with a shattered heart and few more scars to bare on her mind the elvin princess would them as her strength against the evil.

Raphon put the last bit of food stuff in his back and hoisted it up. Joseph walked over and helped Lisosta off the ground, and the three began to march northward along the Anaki River.
