"Eerie. A city that has the semblance of a fortress, but where are all the warriors? Strange." The 13th field of vision revealed nothing amiss. "This is odd," he said. "According to the map we should go straight down this alley until we come to a catwalk over a long, long drop."

"So... where are we going again? We should find an Inn or a motel soon." she said and yawned. "I'm getting sleepy!" It was around noon at that time. She streched her arms and started to walk down the alley.

As they walked along beneath the unnatural, bubble-shield sky, Illuminatus brought up a time display on his visorband. "Damn. We've been awake for at least 27 hours, most of it spent fighting, swimming or crawling through a dark electrical conduit." He fiddled with something on his belt and said, "We can't go to an inn here, we're in the military section. There are only long rows of barracks for soldiers. Good news is, I've got a special shield-tent here." He brought his hand away from his belt, holding a golf-ball sized silver ball with a blue light, a green light, and a small, circular lens. He aimed the device away from them and pressed the blue light. There was a tremendous flash, as what looked like liquid light streaked from the lens to form an eerie, angular tent. Crawling inside, Illuminatus flicked a few switches, and with a low hum, the tent became deep grey and reflective, looking all the world like the metal wall it was pressed up against. "Best kind of camouflage," he said. "Looks like part of the environment rather than just invisible, so people don't walk into it by mistake." He unfolded his sleeping bag and offered one to Yuki.

"Gee, you sure came prepared." she said and went inside the tent. "Um, isn't kinda cramped in here? I mean, there's space for just 2 or 3 people here." she said and took the sleeping bag. She unfolded it and sat down. "Oh, and we haven't been awake for more than 27 hours. The times are different from the "outside". Though explaining that to you will probably make my head hurt, so I'll jus leave it at that!" she said and laid down on her sleeping bag.

"Yeah, Capacitor Spheres are useful for storing stuff. But my visorband keeps perfect time. We have been awake for 27 hours. The time it took to get here was most of that. This lake is deep, Yuki, so deep. I had to put us in a trance to allow our bodies to adjust to the pressure here, otherwise we'd have got the bends, you know, nitrogen narcosis. Trances don't count as sleep time." He took off his armor and put his deep black cloak behind his head like a pillow, yawning. He lay there quietly in the somewhat tight space, but sleep would not come. There was something gnawing at his stomach, some dark premonition of what was to come. Something bad was going on here, and he had no clue what.

"Oh...ok." Yuki spaced out for a minute and then laid down, using her arms as a pillow. She wasn't able to fall asleep and was just thinking randomly about anything. "Ah, Illuminatus... have you ever seen anyone with blue hair?" she asked randomly.

"Yeah, a Goth kid at the Sarádwan academy of Shadow. But otherwise, no, I haven't seen much blue hair in my travels." He answered, looking over at Yuki.

"Ah, really?! But, wait, was it natural color or did he dye it?" she asked, moving her head to look over at Illuminatus.

"Dyed. Why do you ask?" He laughed quietly. It was good to make truly innocent small talk with someone. Most of his days were spent dealing with ulterior motives and greed.

"Well, you see, I have this list of things I want to do before I die and one of them is to meet someone who has blue hair! Until now, anyone I met with blue hair had it dyed, so it wasn't at all that unusual. I'm still searching for someone with natural blue hair!" she said and shrugged to herself. "I wonder if there even is someone with natural blue hair." she said and chuckled.

"I did meet someone with natural blue hair just outside Corellia, but they weren't human. It was a wroorian trader, and I bought a couple of highly illegal weapons for my starship off of him. You never know when you might need something like a baridium missile." He laughed and tried to get comfortable.

"Eehh?! Even if it wasn't human, it was naturally blue, right? Ah, I wonder if I'd ever meet someone with blue hair!" she said, starting to daydream. She thought for a short minute and then turned to Illuminatus. "Um, have you ever met someone... with a tattoo under their foot? Or with three piercings in one ear and four on the other?" she asked randomly again. "Oh! Or someone with six fingers?!"

"¡Caramba! The questions you ask!" exclaimed Illuminatus in exasperation. "Maybe some food will quiet you down. Come to think of it, I could use a bite as well." Illuminatus began rummaging in a side pocket to the tent and came up with an oddly clear green fruit that looked like a thick water balloon filled with thick juice. "This is a Cotoza fruit. The juice is often made into a drink, but the rest of it's not bad either."

Yuki took the fruit from his hand and glared at him. "Leave my questions alone! What's so wrong with asking a few detailed questions, anyway?!" she growled and sat in a corner, drinking her juice. She pouted and tried to sound convincing. "Thanks... for the.. fruit."

"You're asking them while I'm trying to sleep," he replied, but not angrily. He bit into his fruit, sucking it dry like a vampire and then eating the chewy outer skin. Flopping back onto his sleeping bag, he tried to calm his mind, but that was impossible. His headache was growing worse, and he could sense things were becoming more dangerous in the underwater city.
