Shane woke up, bored as hell, and sat for a moment tapping her slender fingers against the trunk of the tree. She had ignored poor Wesley for her own reasons and now she didn't have anything to do.
She sighed, jumping out of the tree and patting it affectionately. The trees were wispering excitedly; something had just happened and they knew about it before her. Words slipped past her thin lips in a swishing rush as she hurriedly spoke to them. Damnit...something had happened to Elliot, but he was alright now...however...one tree was creaking softly, sending its disheartened sorrow out into the world. Shane shook her head. "Hearts were broken today...and it should be such a happy time for the city..." she sighed, her firey temper rising and sending her stomping into the town.
Someone was going to pay for whatever was about to happen. The trees knew it, and they were worried. Something was rotten in Arcanus.

Iris walked through the trees, fingering the bracelet she had on her left wrist. The last tie to what she had hoped would be a better life. But she couldn't just abandon Kiress...at least this way, she could help him if he ever needed her.
Looking around, she decided that this forest would be her new home. She could hunt and scrounge for food, and maybe even build a little house for herself out here. She could live on her own, without having to burden herself on anyone else...it would be better this way, she told her self. It would be.

Shane walked with her head down, still a little shaken from the entire day. She entered the forest from the opposite side of it than Iris and made her way to her favorite tree. The giant rowan was swaying softly in the midnight breeze and she leaned on it, still holding Faust's dumb little locket thingy. As she leaned on the tree, she was alerted to a new presence in the forest; the trees had accepted the aeromaster. The little redhead was stuck between going to find her and letting her have her space, not knowing why she ws here. She didn't want to scare the woman, seeing as how she didn't get a chance to speak to her before she got incredibly angry.
She sighed, climbing the tree and searching discreetly for the other.
((Neko... crying I'm so sorry I wasn't online for you!! I felt so bad! It's prolly blown over by now, but I'm still sorry...-_-))

((It's okay! *huggles* I appreciate the fact that you were going to, so that made it all better. ^_^ Now, to post!))
Iris was oblivious to Shane as she wandered through the forest. Eventaully, the aeromaster stopped next to a tree and sat down with her back against it. Emotionally drained and tired besides, Iris had no idea what to do now.

Twin green orbs turned to the sky and they blinked, "Huh, I didn't realize it had gotten so late..."
His voice was as soft as velvet as he closed the book in his lap and pulled the ligth above his head down and zapped it out.
He stood and brushed his back side off and proceeded to gather the book laying on the ground. His fingers nimbly ran over each cover knowing each book simply by the feel, he'd read the books that many times. Each was like a lover to him, so delicate and so worth while, he shook his head at that though at continued to gather his things.

Shane sighed sympathectically. Poor dear...all alone like that. And she certainly didn't look happy. She looked up at the moon, searching for an answer to what to do about it and finally climbed down the tree. She suddenly realized she remembered the woman from Faust's first attack, but for her own life could not remember her name. that oughta make for an interesting conversation.
She rounded the tree where the other was and knelt a few feet from her in a gesture of peace. "Excuse me..." she offered a kind smile.

Somewhere in the distance, a light had gone out. Confused and intruiged by the sudden absence of the light, Iris stood and walked towards where the light had been. Eventually, she came across a man putting books away. Iris just stared at him, hidden partly behind a tree and still silent. He hadn't noticed her yet, so she was just about to leave so that he wouldn't even know she had been there.

He stood up and blinked, clutching a book to his chest he looked around, "Odd, I hate it when you feel like you're being watched!"
He shivered and finsihed what he'd started. He pulled the blanket about the books and clutched the for or five leather bound hard back books to him as if they were his life line. He started to head back to town circle when he triped.
Poor clumsy Tobi tripped in a rabbits hole, the blanket bound books when flying and he landed with an oaf cursing his ill luck.

Watching him trip, iris sighed in resignation. Stepping out from behind the tree, she walked over to him and picked up his booked and held them out to him. "Here. You have to be more careful; you could end up really damaging one of these books if you trip like that again and fall the wrong way. Yu cuold really hurt yourself too."

He was momentairly stunned into a rigid state, and when he recovered he pulled the books to his chest; he looked to the ground adjusting the glasses on his nose, "T-t-th-t.... th-tha-than-thank-thank- thank y-y-y-...y-o...yo-you."

"...No problem. Why'd you start stuttering?" Iris asked, being unusually blunt. She absently flicked off a drop of blood that came from the cut underneath her eye. Most of her self inflicted cuts and closed by now, and the redness in her skin hada also died down, so she looked more like her normal self.

Iris just raised an eyebrow. "Okay then. Just try to be more careful then, okay?" With that, she stood and started to walk back from where she had come from. What a strange man... She thought to herself. I wonder why he stutters like that. And why did his face get so red?
