Risa dodged sideways, hearing as a bullet connected with the wall. Rikka had put her barrier up again. Damn drones, even the most divine and holy energies could take it down. She doubted that even that b*****d Khane could kill something so easily, "Rikka," she called. "We gotta get away from this thing! I don't think either one of us can beat this thing."

"I don't want to run!" Rikka answered. "There is always a way sister, always a way to beat something!" Rikka drew back and arrow from her sisters bow, and it glowed white. So, Rikka had somehow inherited divine power as well, divine power from Risa? Rikka let it fly, stumbling back as the arrow collided in the middle of the gun drone's 'forehead', and white lightning rippled across the surface of it's armor.

"Nice shot," Risa giggled. "If it was human, that would have done it in good."

Rikka laughed in turn.

More and more reinforcements were deployed, the entire military on hand was in action, either stationing and re-enforcing the Nexus Complex at key points, or rushing to aid the defense of the front doors. Extra gun drones were deployed, Adapts Labrynthus started forming firing lines a choke points in the building. There would be no retreat, no surrender, and no option left unused in the defense against these interlopers.

Arthur S. Goldwind, company President, Founder, and owner of 51% of the Goldwind Company stocks, waited in his office for the inevitable arrival of Abel, either walking in under his own power, or being dragged in by the guards.

Khane floated in his tube, grinning insanely. He could see the battle clearly in his mind, every fluid movement. Gunna eat your brain and gain your Knowledge. He saw Risa and Rikka cornered by a gun-drone, unable to do anything to stop it, so he lent them a hand. The Gun Drone started to crumple, being squeezed in my unimaginable amounts of power, eventually being compressed to the size of a marble, tiny, insignificant, and incredibly dense.

[Sharpii told me to control Shiia so yea... sorry it took so long for me to post]

Her legs still wobbled beneath her frail body, the movement never ceasing from the moment she was close to the Goldwind building. Anxiety overwhelmed the poor girl as she saw the scene being played out before her like some sort of movie that was rated R for violence. A shiver was sent through her spines, and her hands were clenched around her bow.

Fumbling around, she reached for an arrow, and knocked it onto the string of her bow. Her hands were shaking, causing her movements to be less swift than usual. How could one not be nervous in such a situation? Death was inevitable and she lacked the power to defend her.

"Just stay back."
Reizo then said to Shiia, his eyes glancing away from the battle before him for a mere second. Up to that point he had stayed out of the fight with Anysi and Shiia, the three of them still being a bit aways from the building while the others fought. He merely observed the actions and abilities of those who were indeed fighting waiting to make his own strike. He then clenched his hand tightly into a fist, directly his magic in his arm. Immediately, wires seemed to seep through the flesh on his arm, and the arm itself seemed to turn into plates of some sort of metal. Finally, once the transformation was complete, a massive gun had taken the place of where his arm had been. Well, it seemed like a gun at least. The large weapon shot a sort of energy beam, laced with darkness of course, which would damage the mecha of Goldwind far more than the normal bullet. For the release of pure energy would be able to penetrate barriers unlike certain bullets. Unfortunately Reizo knew that his magic wouldn't work too well on the technology of Goldwind, so using his magic was out of the question.

Anysi scoffed upon hearing Reizo's words to Shiia. If it was up to her she would've killed the stupid elf girl already. However, she was to focus on the problem at hand, not the problem that she would take care of later. Finally, she let a sigh fall from her lips before she prepared for combat. Explosives were her non supernatural weapon of choice, and they were all the better when they were directly placed upon the victim. However, she knew it would be rather difficult to get close to any of the guards they were up against. However, Anysi knew both she and Reizo had the advantage in the battle, for if either of them were mortally wounded they would only become stronger. The death of their bodies only brought to life their demons.

Though she had to wait for them to attack her first, making the first move was something Anysi simply wouldn't do.

[Question: They can still use their powers of darkness right? They just won't work in hurting any of the things they are trying to kill... right?]

Erica grew really bored, really fast. kill, shoot, dodge, run, rinse, repeat.

"Goth-damnit!" She said as she shot two more of the big blue things, Adaptus Labrats, or something like that, in the eyeholes and then jumped and tok off towards the building. "Khane! Where the ******** are you?!" Jump. "You would think-" Duck. "-that you would be-" Roll. Ow. "-able to be a decent father-" Blam. Blam. Jump. "-and-" Bounce. "-or-" Run. -HUSBAND!" KER-BAP!.

Erica, in her rage, had managed to decapatate one of the big blues, by bapping them with a frying pan. Well, they live up to their name, Saladmaster. Will never break.

She ran angrily towards the front of the building, mouthing off almost every obcinity, and magically yet without the use of magic, went on a slaughtering spree.

Mental note: Never piss off a pregnant vampire, it kills things, a lot of things.

Risa stepped on the compressed gun drone, before she grabbed Rikka's hand and took off down the hall again. "Hold onto that thing!" Risa told her. "You'll need it. I have more power than you do, so if you spot anything that moves; shoot it."

Rikka stumbled behind, not at all that graceful; however she was smiling brightly even if her life was held in the hands of Risa and Goldwin, in some sense. "There are more!" Rikka exclaimed, pointing to a group of the white guards. "Can you take them down Ris-"

Risa already took off, rushing down the hall at top speed. Thank god for her new pair of eyes. She gracefully dodged left and right, sweeping in brillent arches. She felt stronger now, and she smiled at the thought of fighting Khane. Now their fields would be just a little more equal. She shot upwards, smashing her palm under the chin of the robotic gaurd, sending him flying upwards. She grabbed it's leg, and pulled down as it collided with a group of it's companions.

Rikka pulled back an arrow with her bow, and let it fly. Risa took a step back, and it tore down the hall way; sending pieces of metal flying through the air. "We better run," Rikka breathed. "Before another one of those tank things show up."

Risa nodded, and took off down the hall again. "Where's Khane?" she wondered allowed; coming across an elevator. She ducked inside, pulling Rikka along with her until the door closed. She looked at the buttons, wondering what one to press.

"Basement?" Rikka inquired.

Van watched the drone drop when he yanked out his dagger, "Give me a challenge already." He turned to see a group of huge humanoids. One pulled the trigger of his gun and Van raised his arm just in time to block it. He was knocked back a few steps by the bullet. Maybe I spoke too soon. Thats gonna leave a mark.

Van ran towards the Labrynthus Adeptus trying to ignore the pain that had increased in his leg with all of the movement that he had been doing on it. Van was tired of all of this s**t. He reached out and climbed up the thing and rammed his dagger multiple times until it fell. The landing sent a jolt up his leg. He gave a grunt of pain before turning to look for his next opponent.

((I'm going to start posting at people specifically, it's going to go Summoner, Sage, Winter, Jessie, separated by ---))

The elevator waited quietly for a few seconds, and then without prompting started to whiz down the floors, leaving 1.5 seconds of 0 gravity before momentum caught up with the inside of the chamber. It went down, down down down. There was a speedometer above the list of floors, that showed just how fast the elevator was going. 500 km/h with a 5km/h variation.

---

The Adeptus Labrynthus that was being charged ducked last second as a Gun Drone rounded the corner behind him. The Gun Drone opened fire on Van, one wing bearing a constant beam Laser Cannon, the oner one using a wide spread Concussion Cannon. The Adeptus Labrynthus in the meantime was prone, firing at Van with his Anti-Tank rifle.

---

There was a problem in sector B-12, too many of the Adeptus Labrynthus were going off line too fast. A wing of Gun Drones was dispatched, the 5 mechanical terrors coming up from the ground through specialized service tunnels.

---

Another problem, much larger picked up in B-11, high concentrations of energy were being picked up. Four Quad-Copters full of Psy-Ops, as well as two wings of Gun Drones were brought in. The Gun Drones came up from the ground and attacked on sight, bating the area in Black Napalm as the Psy-Ops turned the electrified Liquid Metals into ball bearings and created a tornado in the area with them.

Van barely dodged the laser cannon, singeing his shoulder and jacket. Sadly he caught most of the concussive blast and was thrown back a few feet. His body grew sore and started to ache with every movement, but he had no time to rest before he had to roll to the side to avoid getting shot by the Adeptus Labrynthus. Van had no choice anymore on how to avoid the attacks he had to accapt the pains in his body now and try to ignore them.

Van threw out his chain from his arm and latched the dagger on in on smooth motion but didn't stop his dance at that. Soon his chain was whirling along with his body, the blade at the end promising death.Van's movements and grace belied the pain in his body as he set him self to it. The chain beat back the bullets with ease and Van moved away from the advancements of drone gracefully. Soon Van had his earphones on and drowned out everyone else's sound in the room. He whipped the blade up and sent it at the eyes of the colossus like creature in front of him.

Rikka was screaming, and Rise felt like it too. The speed of the elevator had taken her by surprise, and if it didn't stop both of the girls would be killed. She was prepared to stop it, before it skidded to a halt on it's own accord.

Risa managed to brace herself, but Rikka was not as prepared and the girl's head collided with the floor. "Are you alright Rikka?" Risa exclaimed, turning suddenly to her sister.

"Yes . . . fine," her twin replied.

Risa turned to the door, pressing her ear against it. She didn't hear anything, not sound of metal that would give off any of those monsters that protected the building. Then again, they could be waiting on the other side, ready to shoot her and her sister down. However, she decided to take the risk and slide open the elevator door.

The lights in the hall were flickering, and it only seemed to lead to a dark abyss. "Come on," Risa urged. "I think we're in the basement. Secrets are always in the basement."

"And danger," replied the twin.

Erica dodged up, down and around with her arsenal of insanity, guns, and pans. She bounded over bodies, around obstacles, and even under some of the fighters.

However, Erica knew fear unlike none other when she turned, and found herself surrounded by five gun drones, and her current pistol had just shot off its last round. No, she had known none other fear like the one she truly felt now.

The roaring of the blades of the helicopter turning and turning could be heard clearly as the massive machines made their way to where Reizo and Anysi were standing firmly. From the four helicopters came pouring out Psy-Op after Psy-Op, the numbers beginning to seem neverending. Not only that, but gun drones also made their way into the battle by coming up through the ground and shooting the entire area with it's bullets upgraded with Black Napalm.

Immediately, as if it was a reflex, Reizo muttered a quick spell that caused a shield to be placed around the group. Last thing he wished was for Shiia to get hurt by the fight that him and Anysi were about to have.

"Anysi!" Reizo yelled out to her, trying to dodge the bullets as best as he could. "Use the shad-" He was immediately interrupted as the Psy-Ops began to manipulate the bullets that the Gun drones had so graciously shot. Without thought the boy allowed his body to become merely his shadows so that he could crawl about through them without feeling damage.

"What?! What am I supposed to do?!" Anysi then yelled out, looking about for Reizo's orders only to get pierced by one of the many bullets. A wince escaped her lips, though not a scream. Pain was something she was accustomed to. Bullets were merely bothersome in her opinion, for it to cause her true pain it would have to be embedded with powers of light. Thank god the Goldwind was not a supernatural organization. "Reizo... you b*****d..." Anysi hissed, finally making her ways into the shadow upon seeing him do the same.

Now what? The girl questioned Reizo, using her mind of course.

Irritation was laced in Reizo's reply, but it was still firm as if he was speaking as the leader. Use your explosives on the gun drones, but don't leave the shadows completely.

Yea yea... The annoyed stubborn Anysi said in reply to her order. What? Did the boy think she was stupid? Well, she had gotten herself shot, which she had to admit was sending a surging pain throughout the rest of her whole body. Though she would have to ignore it. She couldn't stop fighting, she could never back down. Luckily for her, moving through shadows were far more easier than actually running. All one had to do was find a shadow and 'teleport' themselves to it in a way, so that they would be in another's shadow.

It took a while, but finally Anysi found the gun drone's shadows, having a bit more difficultly due to the tornado wildly winding about. Though once she did, she reached out from the shadow only allowing the tips of her fingers to be shown (that way the gun drones wouldn't be shooting off her entire body or anything of that sort). An explosive device that was created by the Alliance itself then appeared in her fingertips, which she then carefully placed on the bottom of the gun drone. The explosive itself was created to use against those who were not affected by magic. The power inside of it was pure energy that had the strength of a nuclear bomb. It had the ability to kill everything that surrounded it, except for darkness, which then allowed the members of the Alliance to stay untouched by the warhead like weapon.

Anysi immediately retreated back into the shadows, merely waiting for the explosive to be set off. It only took three seconds.

One... Two... Three...

((same deal, going Jessie, Winter, Summoner, Sage))

The black napalm finally came into full effect, bathing the area in black and purple flames, melting the concrete in the area. The metal ball bearings continued to fly, hitting super-sonic speeds, puncturing the energy shield and letting little licks of the black flame in, setting fire to he concrete inside the bubble, the fire circling the occupants of it and slowly building.

The Gun drones cocked slightly at the explosions, large holes opening in their living metal bodies, holes that closed themselves as the machinery repaired it's self. Living Metal... another of the more annoying inventions from Goldwind.

---

The Drones cocked their assorted weaponry, one had even gone so far as to get a Chainsaw and some form of Auto-Stabby weapon, a cross between a Machete and a Jack Hammer. There was one thing though that they hadn't counted on. Pregnancy.

The baby recognized the danger at hand to it's host, and cried out for help from his father, who answered in spades, using a great deal of his energy to turn the drones on each other, blasting away with EMP based weapons, frying the internal circuitry of the mechanized demons.

---

The lights flickered on and off in the Tau complex, the hallways were clean... almost. About half way down in front of a torn open security door was a pile of dead Adeptus Labrynthus, their green blood smeared all over the walls in what looked to be a panicked attempt to retreat. Each one of them bore one identical injury, a large cavity had been bored in the skull, and the brain had been removed.

---

The blade punctured the sensor of the Gun Drone. A new metal was detected, the living metal wanted it, and slowly but surely it started to suck the blade and chain into it, switching to a pair of Concussion Cannons to suppress the previous owner of the blade and chain.

Erica blinked in stupor for a few seconds as all of the drones killed one another. She hesitantly grasped her pan once more, and walked up to the now dead drones, and bapped each of them off the head in victory once as she sped off towards the building, or, at least as close as she could get before her next life threatening obstacle.

"Crap!" Van ripped the blade and chain from the machine. How was he supposed to kill this thing. Only one think suited his logic. He would have to rip apart piece by piece. He continued his fluid dance of death lashing out with his blade and ripping it through the air at each of the limbs starting with the gun mounts and working his way down to the legs. It was then that he felt something. Something that he had forgotten about completely since e had pulled it off of the dead body in the mall. The gun was still on him and still was fully loaded with the explosive rounds.

They were alive? That didn't make sense. With the energy built up in those explosives they should've been ripped to pieces! That was at least what Reizo and Anysi both believed as they allowed their bodies to emerge from the shadows only to find that their surroundings were being torn to pieces. Not only that, but the gun drones were fixing themselves as if they had never received any damage.

"Living metal...?" Reizo then muttered to himself, truly perplexed at such a phenomenon. Sure he knew of such a thing, but he had never encountered it himself in all of his hundreds of years of life.

Anysi, who was moving about in what looking like a form of dancing considering her swiftness and elegance as she dodged the various bullets being shot at her, looked towards Reizo. "What?!" She snapped at him, irritated at the fact that he seemed to be simply standing there without having to suffer any difficulty from dodging bullets.

"Do you have any FCG's by any chance?" The boy, who still seemed a bit casual about the entire situation asked her.

"Yea but-"

"Throw that at the gun drones and go back into the shadows."

"I don't see how-"

"Do it!" Reizo snapped at Anysi, his eyes finally shifting away from the gun drones and towards her for a quick glare.

Immediately, afterwards Anysi summoned what appeared to be a rather simplistic bomb from her large supply of hidden weapons. Ah, her endless collection of weapons that she could summon whenever she wished due to magic was wonderful. However, she wasn't quite sure what Reizo was thinking. An FCG was merely a fairly simply e-bomb, nothing big. If her previous bomb hadn't worked worked than why would that? Little did she know that it was EMP based weaponry that could destroy the living metal that the gun-drones consisted of, though she would find that out soon enough.

She tossed the bomb over to where the gun drones were, proceeding to flip the switch that she continued to hold that would send an electrical currant through the wires of the bomb, which created an intense magnetic field that in the end caused the bomb to go off. Of course she had, along with Reizo, dissapeared within the shadows to escape the explosion that everything within the bubble would.

[I did my research like a good girl. :] ]
