Yeah, guess what?! Someone uploaded that whole movie on YouTube, so I watched it tonight! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be... but, eh, it wasn't that spectacular, in my opinion, either.
I would like to see the older version...which I'm pretty sure A&E and BBC put out together (that's confusing) just to see if all I've heard about it is true. I've heard it's just awful. If that's the case, then I guess I'm stuck with the newer version.
I thought there were two others because the A&E/BBC version has two very different covers -- you can't even tell they're the same actors.

I just finished Northanger Abbey. I think it's one of my favorite Austen novels. The only thing I disliked about the book was the length! I wanted more of Catherine and Mr. Tilney interactions. I really liked their characters as well. Catherine was sweet but I loved how her imagination would run wild. I loved the description of her as a child. I also really like Eleanor as well and wanted to see some more of her.
But man, I wanted to smack Isabella. I disliked how she took advantage of Catherine's friendship and was so selfish. Her brother too. I was speechless that what he did when Catherine told him she was previously engaged.
Now off to the bookstore to pick up the Radcliffe book frequently mentioned!

Dewdew Yah for Ann Radcliffe! John Thrope! I really disliked him. Such a lyer. Such a sleeze ball. I liked Mr. Tilney's response after Thrope tried to detain her from a dance with him.
But, alas, I did not come away with any Ann Radcliffe. The novel in question at the nearest English bookstore was 17 euros. A very sad occasion.
