"Your answer tells me more than you know. I've killed many times, in the names of justice, before my crime, and repentance afterward. But never since for my own salvation really." Unsure of how to advance into the details, Saradin floundered a bit and could no longer even look into his coffee, sickened somewhat by his own reflection. "My third and final victim... was a three year old girl. My own daughter, in fact." Saradin met Elias's gaze with his own sunken expression, one that he used to bear daily for the course of his existance.

"There is must be no greater pain that to loosr your own child," Elias said trying desperately not to pass judegement on this man, although he could not understand why someone would be driven to kill there own child, he did not know the circumstances of what drove him to such actions. "Perhaps it was for the best." Elias said as he looked down to the floor, trying to contain that was bulding inside him.

"There is no 'best' for it to have been for. I failed to protect them from one thing that I never imagined I'd have to... myself. I'm not looking for forgivness now or ever, but I've already sworn on my soul that I'll take my life before I let it happen again." Moving forward, Saradin could at least bring light to the reasons that it had occured. "My second victim was my own wife. I've never even thought of another woman since." Sighing slowly, Saradin parted his jacket and reached to the bottom of his shirt and lifted it slowly. "Which brings us to my original victim... me." Beneath the covering, Saradin's body was detailed with scars ranging from miniscule to grotesque, but there was one that stood out, one that had never faded despite years of time. A large scar dead center of his chest, where a sword had penetrated it, piercing his heart.

The elf ran through the forest, dodging the trees and the fiery explosions that burst all around him. The forest was burning, adn the crazied mage seemed to concentrate more spells in Nelphean's general direction. Nelphean was amazed at how powerful his son truly was. The pillar of flames fell upon the great oak before Nelphean, stoping the rogue dead in his tracks. The elf dodged to the side just in time to avoid a stroke of lightning that charge where he stood.
"FATHER!" Ke'Nel shouted, "You will face my vengence!" Casting another flaming strike on the forest, the mage laughed. "You will burn for your crimes!" The elf baited.
Watching her half brother evily destroy much of the wilderness, Sylphina fell to her knees. "Brother..." she cried into the flaming trees. The forest cried out in a great sigh of pain, as the trees fell to the magical onslaught. Sylphina wanted to bring the rogue to justice, but not at the price that Ke'Nel was willing to pay.
Watching the wizard destroying the forest, the rogue sat in a tree, wonderign how safe she was travelling with the overly violent elf. Her half brother's rage festured the longest, as he was over 400 years old. She sat, and watched with some awe the vaste array of spells that Ke'Nel had to throw. Fireballs, lightning bolts, flaming pillars, green rays, cones of ice, frost storms, arching lightning, and many more destructive spells. Taria knew that there was a limit to the number of spells the mage could cast, yet she had never seen that limit.
The towering construct rose from the ground behind the girl, silently as a mouse. His ten foot tall frame towered toward the unwary half-elf. His hands reached up for her, startaling the the girl.
The metallic hand was a few feet away when her senses alerted Taria, she jumped from her branch and tossed a quick volly of daggers at the construct. The harmlessly bounced away. "Sylph-" The girl tried to scream, but was silenced be the montrocities breath. She shouted but no sound could be heard, she tried to run from the creature but she was easily over matched. The metallic creature grabed her gentally and held her firmly. She was captured...
Taria's brief scream alerted Sylphina to the danger nearby. Drawing her swords, she cautiously walked towards her half sister. The towering metallic construct surprised Sylphina. Ten feet tall, with a large flaming bird emblem on its chest. Taria was screaming from its large hand, but no sound was coming forth. The monster''s mouth was open, and Sylphina guessed the purpose. The creature's breath could nullify sound.
Sylphina saw little that she could do, but Taria did not deserve this fate. Sylphina rushed the captor, but before she could reach the construct, it jumped into the air. Sylphina felt the creature land thirty feet away, but could not see or hear the monster. "Damn you Nelphean..." Frightened at the possibilities, Sylphina began to search the area. She heard arcan castings that were far to close for her liking. She watched in horror as the nearby trees exploded with flames. "Damn it Ke'Nel, Taria could have been there..." She felt her heart sink, but guessed the construct would not have been in that grove. She searched eagerly for any sighs of the construct, but found none...
His voice ceased his chanting, Ke'Nel surved his path of destruction. Many acres of trees were burning, many were covered with a fatal frost, and some bore the marks of storms. He floated in the air. His flight spell suspending him above the forest proper. He watched the fires, and put out his hand and quenched their flames. "What a dragon I have become, slaying the very thing that has been my home for many centuries..." Ke'Nel recalled his first home, an elfish grove in the middle of the greatest and oldest forest Ke'Nel had ever seen. Ke'Nel felt his prey grow very distant, at the distance increased with each moment. His sisters had not been able to rout Nelphean...
Ke'Nel landed in the middle of the largest newly cleared meadow. "Sylphina, Taria..." He whispered into the wind, magically calling out to his family.
After searching all the possible landing sites for the construct, Sylphina began to despair. The sound of Ke'Nel's voice echoed in her head.
Moments later, Ke'Nel finished chanting one of his last spells, Sylphina walked into the clearing alone. "Where is Taria?" Ke'Nel asked.
"Nelphean has her."

Bastet jumped from the tree and sat partially crouched, looking around. Whatever was out there was gone by now, so she stood up and brushed herself off some, only as the early morning sky dropped rain on her. Sighing heavily, she was drenched in three seconds flat, and adjusting her weapons, she moved off towards the manor again. Finally nearing it, the gates were thrown open, and she wandered to the front door and went threw it with little care.
Once inside the main hall, she wandered over to the fireplace and shook herself out a bit, trying to dry off some.

Aura opened her eyes in the all to dark room, stretching out as she did so. He really needed a window win here...and the vampire excuse to not have one wasn't going to cut it. If she was going be sleep in here, she needed her light in the morning. Untangling herself from Vincent she sat up and stretched again, then stood. She cast a look over her shoulder to Vincent, who still lay sleeping and gave a smile then strolled from the room. Down the hall and across to her own room, she changed her clothes and woke Eclipse, who had taken full advantage to having the entire bed to himself, as he had been sprawled all across it, wings and all. The two made their way from her room and down the hall, Aura was admiring the ring now on her finger as she walked.
"Kitty!" Eclipse's ears perked as the two entered the great hall and he spotted the false goddess sitting in front of the fireplace, drying herself it seemed. He bounded to her, soul stone bangles clinking loudly as he ran and pounced upon her, licking at her face.

Nailah blinked. She looked around and wondered where she was. THen it all came rushing back to her. The jungle, his words, and the kiss. Niah yawned adn smiled. She felt like the cat who had gotten the cream. She looked back and saw Alex still sleeping. She reached down to unlace his fingers from her waist and sighed with impatience when he simple tightened his hold and pulled her closer. "Damn possessive men." Niah tried once again and met failure. She narrowed one eye and considered how she was going to get out of the cage his arms had turned into. It didn't look good. She was stuck. And it didn't look like she was going anywhere anytime soon. And of course the man would not budge when she tried to shake him awake. She began to squirm trying to get out. Once again she failed.

Bastet had been serenly batheing in the fire's warmth one minute until she had been pounced on and rolled aroun d a few times. She also felt a wetness on her face. Finally opening her eyes she saw that Eclipse was holding her down and licking her face. "Hello there my Clipsy. Showing your affection with doggy kisses now?" Smiling teasingly, she freed her arms and wrapped them around his neck, burying her face in his fur.
Only then did she look and notice Aura. "So what have you two been up to lately?"

"I missed you, I wish to show my appreciation for you in slobber. It's an affectionate gesture, I assure you." Giving her then a soft bark he backed off of her and allowed her to sit up, looking over to Aurahkah. "Yes what have you been up to? You're rather preoccupied."
Aura looked up from her distraction to Bastet and smiled, seeing her old friend. "Bastet, so wonderful to see you again, cat naps keeping you from us again?" She shook her head slightly and laughed. "He's been reveling in the joy that Saradin is back, and me...I've been getting engaged."
"You what now?"

A little while later Niah was extremely discouraged. She blew the hair out of her eyes and sighed. She got an idea. She sucked in her stomach and began to slide in the small space left between his arms and her stomach. She was almost out when her hair got caught in his belt buckle. "Ouch!" Alex responded by muttering something and tightening his hold. Niah blinked. Her air supply was currently being cut off. "Alex, can't breathe! Can't breathe...." She grabbed at his arms and finally slipped her head out. Thank Ra her hair was long. She reached back and untangled her hair. THen she rubbed the spot her hair had been yanked. "Ouch." Shaking her head she stood and walked to the door. She opened the door a crack and peeked inot the hallway. After looking both ways she rushed from Alex's room to her own and quickly shut the door.
Rasui looked up from her ball on the bed and blinked. Her mistress was back. Yawning she stood up and jumped down hurrying over to greet her. "Meow."

"I have been missing you too my friend." She nuzzled his neck and twitched her ears. "I knew it was a good thing."
She looked over to Aura and had a similar response to Eclipse, "What? Saradin is back and you are engaged?" Shaking her head she stood and walked a little closer to Aura looking at the ring, still entwining her claws in Eclipses fur. "No, cat naps are not the reasomn for my missing out on everything. I have had other things to attend to." She smoothed back the hair that was plastered to her face and adjusted her clothes. "That is a big rock, that could probably sink you to the bottom of the lake."

She looked down at the ring again herself. "Probably could. I could say he was trying to collect insurance on me by death of drowning in outback lake. But...i can't, you can't say that to the type of proposal he gave. b*****d made me cry. I don't cry unless it's really called for." She smiled again and laughed. Yes, Aura was for once in the actual morning, not grumpy or needing caffeine. She was just happy.
Eclipse coughed a few times as if he had been choking on his tongue. "Wait, wait, back up. You're engaged. To Vincent I'm assuming." The wolf snorted. He didn't dislike the man, and he didn't dislike the man marrying his Aurahkah, it made her happy after all. He had one question on his mind though, "Do I still get to sleep in the bed?"
She smiled and pretended to thing for a moment. "Yes, but you...not every night."
The ebony winged wolf's ears twitched to Bastet at her lake comment. "Bastet!"

Niah smiled and reached down to pick up the cat rubbing against her leg. "Hello sweetheart." She carried the cat to the bed and set her down gently then began to get dressed. She chose to wear her favorite dress. It was lavender and off the shoulder. The sleeves came to her wrists with slits down the sides. She walked to her bathroom and looked in the mirror. Biting her lip she considered. The front of the dress was a little low but who cared. Her hair curled softly about her face and part of it was held off her face with a golden clip. Her skin had regained some of its natural glow and the pastel color of the dress contrasted nicely with the tan color of her sun-kissed skin. At her hips swung a chain inlaid with amethysts. She nodded and walked out. Walking over she picked up her cat and made her way into the Great Hall. She was rather hungry. On her way to the kitchen she spotted Aura and Eclipse and..."Bastet! Haven't seen you in a while. How are you?"
Rasui purred in her mistress arms. Life was good.

Cat ears arose to their happy point for the first time in a while. "Yes, Eclipse? Do you need a place to sleep some nights? When you do not want to be alone? My feet get cold sometimes."
Still smiling, her eyes wandered to Nailah, "I am doing fine, how are you?" Eyes now twinkling with delight she winked at Eclipse and Nailah, then walked up to Aura and grabbed her wrist, beginning to drag her to the courtyard. "Let us test whether you will sink from that engagement ring or not."

Nailah heard the words 'engagement' and 'ring.' She squealed. "Vincent proposed?!" Then she realized what Bastet had said. A smile lifted her lips. Normally she wouldn't but now she was just too happy. She smirked at Aura and said, "I bet it would. I agree these things must be tested. It would be horrible if we were left wondering." She grabbed Aura's other arm and helped Bastet drag Aura to the courtyard.
Rasui blinked and shook her head. She wanted to see this. She followed along after the two dragging Aura. This should be interesting.
