O,o this can be a problem

I'm sorry. Ignore this post if you don't like minor angst. But I need to.

The place where I work as an intern, well, the union went on strike. And today they actually did hold me up while I was trying to cross the picketline and this huge guy walked across just glaring at me like he hated me. And I smile when I get nervous and I knew that'd be a bad thing so I just sat there biting my lip and feeling scared.

I feel like such a coward but dangit, he SCARED me. And I can't tell my boss cause if I do he'll get all nervous cause he's got a daughter not too far from my age and well, I'll let you inference from there.

Scab - person brought in from another location specifically to replace a union job during the strike

Full-time employee - person who works for the company in non-union jobs but go out and perform union jobs during a strike

Intern - college student brought in for a space of time to get real-life on the job experience as well as find out if they are full-time employee material. Found in almost every large company, sometimes even small ones, and have absolutely nothing to do with strikes unless their location goes on strike, as is my case.

And they're not having me even touch union stuff. I'm doing what I was before the strike - sitting at my desk writing programs for the refinery to use.
