The One Who Grins *more miming, and gets shot by all the mime-haters out there* +_+ That might be a good idea, Min Min, with the recruits from there. HOpefully they'll be grammar literate. The only thing you have to worry about then, is when to make the switch from THIS thread, if something does go off topic, to the other (and ignoring random REAL spam). Plus, if it's annoying to back read 3+ pages a day, it's also going to be a pain jumping from one thread to another cause we're all slothy creatures! XD Hm, you know this guild set up... reminds me of government class kind of. So, since my mind has made a lot of blargs lately, the OOC thread is more like for long-term spam that takes several days to accumulate, rather than spam that multiplies like bunnies on crack? Constructive chatter, rather than idle chatter... *gets the image of spam buildings VS spam lying around on the beach* Or is it for only important such topics? *applaudes Nova from the corner* Aw... but you're fun to listen to and talk with. 3nodding Actually, I think I played a part in those last three pages or something like that... since I remember talking about Japan a lot. sweatdrop Crap though. We need this problems resolved NOW. I don't know about the rest of you, but by the looks it's pissing off/aggrevating/annoying/distressing/tearing apart/alienating/doing SOMETHING to everyone in the guild. A compromise, an agreement, something. I like talking to the people in this guild, and I like talking to them in places other than the RP (cause really, I haven't talked to a lot of people in the RP) and the way it appears right now is that even though you say you don't mind chatter, you would prefer that the majority of it go on either VIA PM or IMing. Even if you do state right there at the end of the post, that what you mean is that it shouldn't be used for personal chatter. It's not exactly encouraging people to hang out here, or to come and do anything except watch the RP - and if they know it's not moving, they'll just fade away... kinda like Tash. I miss talking to him in general, since he didn't even really look at the OOC thread anyways. Anyways, I've said my bit (again, lol). Really, I hope we get this resolved soon, and... and... EW Oh my god I just found this nasty nasty bottle of tea I had sitting around here with moldy white kelp looking thingies growing in it that's over two months old. I thought I threw that away ages ago! +_+; Hm... wonder what it tastes like... yes, otherwise we're going to end up driving more people away. And it's not like we have that many people (active people). xd I feel long winded. Oh well. Skim it if you have to. O_____o;;;;; lol Maybe it's haunting you. - The tea that wouldn't be thrown out lol *Imagines the tea jumping out of the garbage and float up to your bedroom at night, all glowy and stuff. Suddenly, you're woken to your covers being thrown back, and the glowing, floating of bottle of tea, and in you head you hear a -voice- whispering "drrrriiiiiinnnnnk meeeeeeeeeee" while the top slowly opens, the little bits of kelp hanging over the edge and threatening to fall off into your mouth, which is frozen open in a silent scream.* Hmm... You didn't notice a different taste the first time you took a gulp, did you? I wonder if you ran it through strainer, would it be okay. Why don't you try it? drrrriiiiiinnnnnk iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit...Anyway, I vote that we forget about this situation like we would eventually anyway, then argue about it again later when someone gets pissed off. We wouldn't have this day taking three months problem if you all put this much effort into playing. stressed *Does NOT like reading through a ton of OOC pages looking to see if he missed anything important* Unfortunately, I'm not the one leading the current plot, so whatever I do is determined by who is leading the RP. Golem is calling the shots, Asa is leading a small team, Nova and her clan/tribe is moving in to help us... Actually, I'm just a pawn. I would make all the kits, BUT, currently, I'm playing my character as a primitive savage, by primitive, (as I had said in my post) she is unlearned of wordly views of technology. So, I'm really following what other NPC's are doing. I don't want to possess the NPC's and say what they are doing or whatnot, because maybe what Asa or any of the Plot leaders have in mind for the NPCs to do, is TOTALLY different from what I'd RP them to do. Right now, I think, myself as a player and participant of the RP, have no authority to "move things." I feel that I have not explained it fully...but I'll leave it at that. domokun

AH HA! I'v got an idea! Since Halloween is coming up in about oh, 27 days, my brilliant mind has come up with this: COSTUME CONTEST! I will personaly give 1k of gold (I know it's not alot but this will be fun... right?) to whoever wins in these areas:
Real Life Costume: Whoever has the best costume for Halloween in real life... obviously
Avatar Costume: Whoever can dress up there Avatar in the most ceative costume.
Here are the rules... quite plain and simple:
1) Clowns will automaticaly loss... only because clowns scare the hell out of me.

As for the OOC chatter thread, well, I'm new so not so sure of what goes on in here, but, it sounds like a good idea smile
And finally... I have yet to get started in the RP sweatdrop Sorry! I'm just really having trouble knowing quite what to do... And I tried to read through the last few pages like PN suggested, but I think I made the mistake of being kind of tired when I did... I'll try again at some point redface smile

Added: I stopped posting because I did NOT want to argue the damn point, I don't like arguing because it tends to piss me off and then I say things I regret. Woah, woah, woah. If this argument is going to break up the guild, or make us hate each other (not that I'm against hating people or anything), then I'd rather just have all of the chatter. But I'm going to say my opinion anyway, cause I'm just that cool. cool
I really don't mind going off topic or anything. As Nova said, it's impossible to stay on RP topics. That's what the OOC is for: Going to random topics. However, it is the amount of the posting in such short of a time; aside from making people choose to either read too many posts to see if they missed anything important, or having people choose not to read it at all, it stops people who dont go on as often from participating in the conversation, and is unfair to those people in the guild.
I wouldn't love a chatter thread, cause I'm afraid it would split up the guild into the chatter people and the OOC people. However, if the chatter people were willing to check out the OOC thread the same amount as the slower people do (once a day-ish) then I would wholeheartedly agree with it. Minmin, I'm too lazy to PM you again (sorry) so just know that my answer is yes, as long as you guys agree not to get separated. (And I want to make a guild, so maybe something around 20k if you're still interested in bribing me? blaugh )
