My mom sometimes cooks liver when she's getting ready for a dogshow to bait the dogs with in the ring. One time when she was cooking it, my sister and I smelled something really good, and we didn't know what it was. So, we go up to the kitchen, peek in and my sister asks "Oh, mom! What's that great smell?!" Mom says "liver." Both my sister and I just sort of stare at her before my sister says "... It's been so long since I've had home cooking that I can't remember what smells like what."
