"Right," Nek said, a reluctant expression on her face as she thought, Why did I volunteer for this? It was bad enough she volunteered herself for something she really didn't want to do, but it was made worse by the fact that it would be done with Moonlight, who most likely wouldn't let her live it down for the whole night and probably the rest of their lives. She bit her tongue and resisted the urge to ask herself again the question 'why?'.

Zara nodded. "Probably... but i think i can risk it..." SHe wanted to add that she fixed his mind so she could crush it again if she wanted to... but that would have served no purpose except to gloat and make Danzu wary.. She shifted him slightly and walked up sam who was waiting impatiently to leave. She wanted to get out of the deasert goyal territory so she could help Danzu a bit...get some water into him... maybe a bit of food. She glanced at sam. She would be the best bet for finding something while Zara was busy herself. If she didnt have to stay with danzu she would go herself.

Tyrent nodded. With a casual grace he pulled his dagger. "Aeitory have a preference on which part you keep as a keep sake?" He smirked lightly and cut off its tail. "That should be good right?" With a hair he tied the rest together and put it in his pouch. "Thats all i want of it..." HE glanced at the bug queen..."ill go bury it in a moment..." He nodded. that was the right thing to do... or maybe he should take it closer to the village and leave it to rot... He liked the second idea better but he would bury it... out of a stupid sense of honor... His eyes drifted over to Zara. She seemed a bit happier... not completely but she seemed more relaxed. Her head was facing home. HE let his eye move to Danzu... All that trouble for a lycan that would probably die on the way home any way.

The desert goyal wrinkled her nose and twitched her intena, how disgusting that was. It was bad enough the equine was begining to get the stench of death so close to her, must he cut pieces of it in front of her? With a rather disgusted noise in the back of her throat, the haughty goyal turned and stalked off to the trading post, retiring to a more safe distance away from the smell.

The female truely couldn't hide the wide grin that came to her features, "Starting a tradition then, are we? That's perfect." She'd be able to find some way to incorperate that tail into her armoda. Perhaps the hairs would make a good grip for her axes, she'd need to play around with ideas first. Right now it was best for Aeitory not to think of the cause for this trip, and that there was an actual lycan not far off, one that had caused so much trouble at that. Best to keep herself distracted.

Oh he could hear all the little comments being made around him, some he couldn't make sense of since they were out of context for him, but it was easy to discern there were warriors amongst this group. A fairly large group at that. With an effort, Danzu opened wary orange eyes, tiredness and hunge as well as his natural instinct warning him to keep on the guard around so many gargoyles. Even if Zara was amongst them. "Love", he murmured nothing more above a whisper, having been surprised by her extreme senses before. "Are we among friends? I cannot tell." Still, he hardly made a move other than his breathing, not wanting to draw unwanted attention by any unfriendly eyes that may be around.

"yeah...It will be fun...afterward when we are old and crippled we can count them and then compare...Ill beat you...I just need to get out there a bit more." He smiled and heaved the horse over a shoulder. "Ill bury it away from here... Lets start back toward the mountains." His blue eyes turned to zara quickly and then turned to look back at the bug goyal. Thank god it was almost over. He started back toward the mountains not wanting to be in the desert longer then he had to be.

Zara let out small breath. "Yes..." She turned her ears toward Aeitory... Her emotions were the most out right hostile toward her and Danzu. "Be still a bit longer. Once we are away from the Desert we can stop and i will get you water..." She turned and felt tyrent move by her. "We are moving?" She felt the air stir in his nod and she followed him.

Sam followed more slowly and waited to walk beside aeitory. "Are you ok with this?" Sam knew Aeitory could have protested if she was really against it but she knew somehow ...probably from the black aura surrounding her 'sister'...that aeitory was cautious to say the least. "We are going to have a lycan living under our roof...right inside our castle." She shook her head. "Do you think it was a plan by the lycan shaman? To get one of his lycans under our roof for spying purposes?" She was feeling nervous and jumpy she, herself, didnt think the lycan was a good reason to risk their necks. But like tyrent she was following Zara...she would protect what she thought right. "Imagine...werewolves and goyals living together in peace."

Nek rolled her eyes and turned her back towards Zara and the lycan as she moved to leave with the others. Love had little or no meaning to her in the romantic sense; she simply didn't care for it. But that didn't mean she would go against the goddess. Afterall, she couldn't blame someone for feeling something if she had no idea what it was like to feel that way herself, it would be unfair. The only thing she could do was follow along with the others for now, and worry about what it meant to have a lycan living under the same roof as herself later, though if her set one claw near her caves she would spare no thought in chasing him off. Not that lycans might have any interest in caves. She shrugged, not really knowing anything about the lycans other than that they were enemies was a problem.

The thing that she was most concerned about at the moment was Moonlight and her's little 'date'. Ugh, she was not looking forward to spending the evening with Moonlight in the state of excitement she was in. Oh well, no helping it, really, she would just have to go along as she had said she would. With a sigh, she looked around to figure out where Moonlight and the mountain goyal, Orak was his name?, had gone.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 22, 2008 9:01 pm

"Ha! By then I would have found the fountain of youth, wrinkles will not plague me", she obviously joked, she didn't fear old age, especially since her mate was already rotting. "Agreed, we should be on our way by now." She'd seriously had enough of the desert that she could stand, it was hot, dry, and her armor was sticking to her skin. Ugh, that was not a good feeling.

"I trust you," the lycan murmured before he succombed to his fatigue, there would be no problem for him to be still a little while longer. In fact, it just might do him good to rest a bit longer.

This had gotten somewhat odd. Though he was thankful to be out of the company of the desert goyal, he couldn't really stand the heat. And... and he had to prepare when he got back. Goodness, how was he going to get his home cleaned up in time for the ladies?

Okay? With lycan-scum living amongst the goyles she sought to protect? Aeitory lightly draped her arm over Sam's far shoulder, gently pulling her 'sister' to her side in a very chum-like manner. "I'm very much not okay with it", she smiled despite the subject matter, after all she was allowed her own opinion on the matter. "I wouldn't go so far as to call it a scheme by that shaman-scum, but I don't think it will bode well either way. It'll just be insentive for another attack on the castle, another mark to hold against the clan I have sworn to protect." The speckled warrior patted her sister's shoulder with her large hand. "However I can not dictate who falls in love with who, or in this case what, so I'll do honor first to my clanmates in that sense. Don't worry Sam, if this lycan-scu... this Danzu poses ill for this clan he'll be dealt with accordingly as any member of the clan would be, but until then just enjoy the thought of seeing that shaman's face when he finds out we've foiled his plans once more. Its totally worth it." She couldn't help the strong opinions she had on the lycans, after all her experiance with them had been a disaster. Kidnapping Zara and attacking her clanmates? Aeitory was fully prepared to declare war if that's what it took to rid the lands of them. "Those shaggy-pelted dogs would not allow us to live in peace, that I know for sure," she responded to that last part a bit solemnly, perhaps bitterly, but she was still Aeitory.

Sam nodded. Yup that sounded like aeitory alright. She smirked. "maybe some day right?" Sam sighed. With hate like aeitory's the world would be at war. She smiled lightly."Thankfully we arent in a war right now....or the clans would all fail...im doubting all these goyals like each other..." She frowned and then watched the different goyals around them. "Why are we letting her keep it...him...if no one else wants it here?..." She frowned. Being a goddess had to have its perks but honestly it...he... could put the clan in danger....

Zara smiled. So he did remember some of their time in the castle...he had to...or he wouldnt trust her. "I know... and i trust you..." She smiled her voice very very soft. She just wanted to get out of the desert. Poor Danzu had to be starving and probably dying of thirst. For the first time she realized it was a bit too warm for her liking. She smiled at the random thought

Tyrents ears had twisted back a wicked smile on his face. Fountain of youth indeed. He shook his head and shifted the horse over his shoulder. His senses were up for danger although he doubted they would see any...and he hoped they didnt for all his senses kept telling him there was a lycan behind him. He glanced over his shoulder... A sleep? or waiting....No... he was too abused to plan anything against the whole clan...

Nek frowned at not being able to immediately find Moonlight, though Orak was hard to miss. With a sigh, she made her way over to him, noting as she passed by the others that they weren't exactly taking to the heat. She let out a small laugh with a grin, for once her armorless and light, breathable clothing were to her advantage. Shaking her head, she continued moving betwee the other goyals until she was walking only a little ways away from the mountain goyal. Her little clothing advantage was small and probably would not come again, so it was little to be amused over. Her grin dropped away as she continued to walk, still keeping an eye out for where Moonlight had gone.

Aeitory could only shrug, "Maybe, I'm not much of a fortune teller though." As interesting as thing as that would be. Imagine, being able to look at someone's palm and read what furture holds. Such a whimsical thought was for another time, she had other things to think about first and foremost. "Yeah, we don't have the warriors to go to war yet, so it probably would be our undoing. I mean, last I checked we had around 3 maybe 4 new recruits, none of which I've been able to meet just yet. We definatly need to work on training the young fighters before something like that happened." Perhaps she should make it her job when she got back to start some sort of training program. Nothing like full out teaching, no of course not, but a push in the right direction would do them good.

Sam's question though got a large breath out of the bulky female, as she craned her neck downward to look at her small friend, the remnants of a smile still somewhat on her face. "Because Zara does have some influence among the clan members, and Aldric had already given his support to the cause. So that's 2 divine already, and when you add in Ra'hert's support that's 3. All influencial figures." Aeitory gave a small shake of her head, but her eyes were alight as she turned a friendly grin to Sam. "I hear you're in line to become Alpha, and I'm challenging Hudsen for Commander when we get back. Sam, you and me, we'll run this clan together and on equal footing; I swear it." The thought of both her and her 'sister' becoming clan leaders just left a wonderful feeling down in her gut.

As the large goyal walked back with the rest of the 'little' clan so he would come to call them, his mind raced on what he would be doing tonight. Cooking, of course. But what would they like to eat? Were they vegetarians? Meat lovers? Were they different, did they like the same things? They. Whoa. Wait. Why was he thinking they? In this midst of his pondering he happened to glance down and spot Nek walking beside him, and the large goyal's expression changed to something of surprise and apology. "I'm sorry I hadn't addressed this earlier, were you planning on joining your friend tonight?"

Nek started and looked up at the big goyal when he spoke to her. "Ah, yes, I guess that was the plan," she shrugged, trying to appear uninterested in the events of the evening. In her mind she had begun to think o fherself as something of a bodyguard, though she would laugh herself silly at the thought of Moonlight needing a bodyguard, and Moonlight herself would probably try to knock her silly if she dared voice those aloud. She wasn't going to be officially in on the date; she would just be the back-up in case anything happened. Silently she gave herself a slight nod, that was what she was, back-up. She herself was not going to be on a date. Speaking of the date, her curiousity began to get to her, "So, what did you have planned for her-er-us tonight?"

Sam nodded lightly as Aeitory talked. She had to stop herself from laughing at the thought. "Running the clan honestly Aeitory...thats why there are gods and goddesses...." She shook her head. "But yeah...Just a hunt or two more then im off on a quest....That will prove im alpha material..." She smiled and twitched her ears. "But im worried...What if im not right for it...you would help me right?"

She smiled at the thought of Aeitory running after some sort of prey... "The leader part of it...I can do the hunting."She glanced around Klen was her only rival at the moment...he was the one she had to beat...and she would beat him...if not because she was better then because she was something to miss. She frowned... She needed to get over him. With a sigh she glanced over to the blue giant and smiled. "For all his size he seems really gentle."

Aeitory had to snort and partially laugh at the sentiment of the divine. "I'll change that, its not right to have all our influencial power turned over to the Gods and Goddesses, they especially shouldn't hold authority over the warriors and hunters. We govern our own." She spoke in somewhat relaxed tone, as if it were fact she was stating and not speculation. The only problem was Hudsen wasn't a very involved figure, she'd need to redefine the status of Commander as something with more influence. That may mean conflict in the end, but it would happen, its what was right. Sam have a harder time of it though, considering the clan hadn't had an alpha since its reawakening. Flicking her ears forward she couldn't help but give her friend's shoulder a little squeeze. "Of course I'll help you, we'll help each other. Seriously don't be afraid to yell at me if you think I'm overstepping any bounds", she chuckled. "Really that may be the only way to grab my attention." Following Sam's gaze over to Orak and Nek she had to agree, "Yeah, kinda surprised me."

"That's good, you're certainly welcome to", he nodded with a friendly grunt; having started the ascent back up the mountain. "I was thinking of making you two dinner tonight, and giving a tour of some of the more intertesting parts of the mountain. The birds in this area are very colorful and almost always swarm the skys around sunset, its very beautiful." They'd like that, right? He wasn't sure, anything to do with girls he wasn't sure about.

"That sounds... Romantic..." Nek said, resisting the urge to grimace, "Perfect for a date, I suppose." She nodded, not wanting to seem her normal blunt self to the freindly goyal. He was trying, she was not sure what for, but he was trying to be both nice and romantic. It would be wasted on her; she wasn't exactly sure about Moonlight, though. As long as she had known the excitable and battle hugnry Nek didn't know much about her veiw on the theory of 'love'. She had thought it was similiar to her own, but since Moonlight had volunteered for the date she wasn't so sure. If his romantisism did work on Moonlight, then it would be good to have one who would remain unaffected and on guard. Which only heightened the small reason she had for tagging along. She let out a small laugh, "Are you nervous?" She didn't mean to be mean or rude, but was simply curious, and letting some of her normal self get a look at him to see if there was something about him her warrior self might have missed.

Sam laughed. "Ditto for me. yell at me whenever you think i need it." she smiled and shook her head watching back over to the two. "I feel bad for him...hes taking our two most standoffish warriors on a date..." She smirked and then turned her gaze to a bit of orange off to the side. "Tyrent is burying that thing?" She shook her head. "Hes just messed up a bit in the head..."

Tyrent indeed had stopped off to the side finding a hollow in mountain. It was big enough to fit the horse and small enough so nothing lived in it... he hoped. he tossed the horse into it, With un ceremonial grace he dropped a large rock in front of the opening. He hoped for a brief moment they were still in the desert territory. He shook his head and turned back toward the group.

Zara knew the moment they had gotten out of the desert. Her paws were sensitive to the change in the ground and the slant of it. She reached back and touched danzu lightly. It was just to make sure he was actually with her. She yawned lightly. She needed sleep. Just a bit farther then they could rest. She shook her head as she went to yawn again.

"Hold still, will ya," Moonlight huffed as she carry a wiggling Nyx. She had spotted the cat goyal trying to sneak to the Desert trading camp. She wasn't one for babysitting, but she wasn't one let a kid go off on her own. "You need to stay with the group until we get back to the castle," she sighed, not happy with dealing with her. Since Moonlight had to get Nyx, she had fallen behind, and now she was trying to catch up with the others.

"But I wanted to check it out," Nyx whined. It wasn't until they joined everyone else, did Moonlight dropped Nyx back onto the ground. Moonlight also made sure that she was placed in the middle of the group, so she couldn't sneak off again. Thinking that Moonlight wasn't looking she stuck tongue out at the warrior. But then Moonlight turn around to do the some to Nyx.

Now that she was done dealing with the black cat, Moonlight want over to where she saw Nek and Orak. "Hey, whatz up?" she greeted them.
