On the chatting issue:
I apologize for what part I had in that last night, though I don’t feel that bad about it. I mean, it’s better than the guild coming to a dead halt, right? Yeah it’s annoying having to back read, but sometimes you just get caught up in conversation. If you want to remedy that, either lay down a rule that limit’s the length of conversations at a single time, or have a thread said chatters can move to, or something.

And on AIM: Express sucks (lack of color and no direct connect). Quick buddy sucks even more. And no, I can’t download AIM onto this laptop since it’s the sacredest of sacred computers in this household. That’s why we were on MSN last night, PN, cause Express is starting to really piss me off with all it’s random closures and lack of… stuff. I don’t think I’m going to go on that on the laptop anymore… only the PCs upstairs where I can have my nice version that has color and cool fonts. XD Cause I’m spoiled like that. But I really do need to limit chatting in general. XD

I wholeheartedly agree with Fenrir. Chat in this thread is fine, but a chatroom- No thanks. If you find that theres a bunch of people on at a time, i'd really appreciate it if you took it to AIM. Of course, I could change my mind if I had a little gold... *hint hint wink wink*

as i do agree with the chat thing....i have one thing against...if you didn't notice, these people cannot all get on at the same time sweatdrop so all this 'chatter' is within a 12 hour time....rarely do we all get on at the same time where 'chatting on aim' would even be beneficial. [/.02]

Actually I have cut down on my OOC. Further-don't expect me to post other than RP from now on. And I checked the last three pages and don't put this on me thanks, there are a good deal of other posts not including my own. As I have said I cut down.

Edit: OOC boards and other topics will be taken out of context, it's the nature of people. They can't really stay on topic, though if you want to argue the point and call me a rude b***h go ahead. I'm just stating the facts. I've been rping for five years, RP and Board, as much as it is annoying that OOC is going on the thing is this. People will get off topic and the such, what I don't like is this, OOC in the RP board/rp. Would you rather deal with it there or in some OOC board.

Hmm...I will take into consideration the idea of setting a Chat Thread in Chatterbox. Now that they have implemented subscribing to threads, this would be most convenient for OOC conversations. Though I will create the thread, I will still continue with the petition, and I will post the results, whether the votes are with or against the idea fo the Chatter Thread in the EG.

The only doubt that I have about creating a thread in the Chatterbox, is that EG members will not go there and others will, defeating the OOC EG Chatter thread's point of creation. But also, I have realized that if this thread is created, this would help also in recruiting new members into the EG.

How does that sound?

That might be a good idea, Min Min, with the recruits from there. HOpefully they'll be grammar literate. The only thing you have to worry about then, is when to make the switch from THIS thread, if something does go off topic, to the other (and ignoring random REAL spam). Plus, if it's annoying to back read 3+ pages a day, it's also going to be a pain jumping from one thread to another cause we're all slothy creatures! XD

Hm, you know this guild set up... reminds me of government class kind of.

So, since my mind has made a lot of blargs lately, the OOC thread is more like for long-term spam that takes several days to accumulate, rather than spam that multiplies like bunnies on crack? Constructive chatter, rather than idle chatter... *gets the image of spam buildings VS spam lying around on the beach* Or is it for only important such topics?

Crap though. We need this problems resolved NOW. I don't know about the rest of you, but by the looks it's pissing off/aggrevating/annoying/distressing/tearing apart/alienating/doing SOMETHING to everyone in the guild. A compromise, an agreement, something. I like talking to the people in this guild, and I like talking to them in places other than the RP (cause really, I haven't talked to a lot of people in the RP) and the way it appears right now is that even though you say you don't mind chatter, you would prefer that the majority of it go on either VIA PM or IMing. Even if you do state right there at the end of the post, that what you mean is that it shouldn't be used for personal chatter. It's not exactly encouraging people to hang out here, or to come and do anything except watch the RP - and if they know it's not moving, they'll just fade away... kinda like Tash. I miss talking to him in general, since he didn't even really look at the OOC thread anyways.

Anyways, I've said my bit (again, lol). Really, I hope we get this resolved soon, and... and... EW Oh my god I just found this nasty nasty bottle of tea I had sitting around here with moldy white kelp looking thingies growing in it that's over two months old. I thought I threw that away ages ago! +_+; Hm... wonder what it tastes like... yes, otherwise we're going to end up driving more people away. And it's not like we have that many people (active people). xd I feel long winded. Oh well. Skim it if you have to.
