i'm sorry...maybe they ARE interesting! i've never tried reading any
come on...i thought 'Gradus ad Parnassum' by Fux would be interesting (never got round to finding a copy)...t'was once mentioned in a music lesson and is about the history of music (as in, how scales were formed etc)
