Karissa was already in the kitchen when Arianna entered. She'd run down as soon as she heard steps on the stairs. "Let me help you," she offered.

"Thanks, I'll get the stuff out and then you can help me" Arianan said and she got out the things she needed to do to make pancakes. She pulled out some berries(strawberries, blackberries and rasberries). "Alright, I'm making pancakes and then for toppings there are syrup and berries as you can see" Arianna siad.

"What do you suggest I do in that department Mr. Greenthumb?" He smiled, knowing it was true, "I think that nickname could easily stick." He laughed, then quickly made a serious face, bringing his hand to his chin in thought. "I'd have to say a bonzai tree would do well." Before she could answer, he had disappeared, returning with a pot roughly the size of a basketball in his arms a few moments later. It was filled with dirt. He set it on the floor, reaching into his pocket and removing a small seed. He let it sit on his palm until it began to sprout, a green vine-like object sticking from the shell. As he bent down to place it in the dirt, it continued to grow rapidly, the vine becoming brown and growing upward, splitting, twisting, and finally budding into a tree about a foot tall. He smiled at his handy work, making small hand gestures that caused the tree to twist or grow in a certain direction. She watched in amazement as the tree continued to twist and grow managing to look even more beautiful each time he modified it's growth to make it look it's best. "Amazing," she said again. He looked up, his expression filled with a bit of suprise for a moment as if he had forgotten she was there, then switched almost seemlessly to a cheerful, pleased glint. He removed another seed from his pocket and handed it to her. His fingertips lingered slightly on her hand before he folded his own hands behind his back and tilted his head with inquisition. "What, would you say, is your favorite flower, Raine?" She contemplated that for a moment. "Lilies. I like lilies." Despite what some people had told her in the past about lilies being the flower of death, she believed that they were rather a flower of life. He smiled, keeping eye contact with her, as the flower grew with her words, sprouting and leaving, finally flowering. At the other end of the seed, a few short roots grew as if the flower could be planted and would grow further.

How come everyone else gets all the special talent?" she asked. She touched one of the petals on the flower. It was silky smooth.

Arianna lightly hit her. "Does any one else want to eat?" ARianna asked, trying to figure out how much she needed to make.

"Oh, you don't need to make anything for the rest of us. Even I won't be eating," Karissa reassured her.

"Alright. I kind of feel bad about last night. Is there any way we can get Laurence to come back and visit?" Arianna wondered as she cooked.

"I think he just needs some time...alone," said Karissa. Secretly, she thought the murder she'd witnessed had been in Laurence's past. He was the only one who hadn't answered her question.

Rachel was perturbed by what she had seen the last night. Despite her calm exterior, the pain she had seen in Laurence's eyes brought back the terrible pain of her childhood. She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to blink it away. When it didn't she, sat up from the couch of her room. Using her powers, she shot her mind out, and pushed her voice into Laurence's head. Laurence, come talk to me, the others don't have to know you're here. But you can't rot in that shack. I'm giving you ten minutes to sulk, and then I'm coming to find you. Rachel had always had trouble being subtle. Discretion was not her forte.
