he is infatuated with Rachel...Eiri thought of whether she should mention her mother or not. This guy was a stranger. He was fun to tease earlier...no reason to tell him anything but she spoke anyways."Our mother died when we were young"

(Now Rachel's probably gonna go to the hospital cause she's acting insane! rofl I wonder what the doctors would say....)
Rachel smiled alittle and nodded. "I'll try Kazuo.... I'll try as hard as I can to be happy." Rachel said to Kazuo smiling, but tears were still there.
Ryuu looked at Eiri frowning a little. "Well that's sad. Is that why you're so cruel and mean to everyone, but Kashi?" Ryuu said suddenly finding that he did care about Eiri and that was probably why he didn't want to kill her.

Kashi didn't question Rachel's talking. Obviously she needed to talk to Kazuo, even though he was dead. He just stood there, arms wrapped around his 'little one.'
"Good." Kazuo said, smiling, "And I promise I'll always watch over you. When you need me, I'll be there. Just call." As if gust of wind came the leaf shapes scattered into the sky.

Rachel smiled and said, "Thanks Kazuo." She closed her eyes and then realized that Kashi was hugging her and hugged him back. "Thanks Kashi." She said with the same warmth that she had said, "Thanks Kazuo."
Ryuu rolled his eyes and then turned around and started wlaking again. "Whatever." Ryuu said kind of mad that he had let himself feel sorry for Eiri.

Eiri pouted "aw no more empathy from my Ryuu." She stood for a second before continueing Ryus pace, "I am never anything but myself. Don't go thinking that there is a kindness to me. No matter what happened in our past it is our decisions that make us who we are"

"Are you alright?" Kashi asked, his voice muffled by Rachel's hair. He wanted so much for this moment to last, though he knew it probably wouldn't, not for long at least.

Rachel nodded still smiling and crying at the same time. She stood there hugging Kazuo. She felt safe and happy. I guess this is what Kazuo wanted. Rachel thought smiling even more.
Ryuu smirked and then said, "Yep, but think of your dissions because no matter how much you want to you can never go back to change them. I've learned that the hard way." Ryuu continued walking through the village.

"Then why are you crying?" Kashi asked, still concerned. He was new at all this emotional and caring. He rocked back and forth slightly as he held her, not really sure what to say or do.

(Kashi reminds me of SO many books and movies and t.v. shows I've seen.)
Rachel laughed a little and said, "Because I'm so happy."
Ryuu sighed and continued walking. My father disapeared becasue of me. I could've stopped him from going, but I didn't and now he's gone no matter how much I wish he wasn't. Ryuu thought frowning. "I didn't stop someone from leaving my village and I haven't seen him to this day. It was my decision to let him go and I can't take it back." Ryuu said softly only halfway talking to Eiri. Memories swirled through Ryuu's head. His sadness about his father leaving and his sister and mother dying was what had kept him from taking any chunin exams.

"That's confusing..." Kashi commented. He released Rachel to look her in the eyes. "Well....I'm glad your not sad."

Many options went through Eiri's head. Had he turned rogue, gone on a mission and died, decided to abandon the child? She was still curious, "why did he leave?"

"Revenge." Ryuu said simplely. He cotinued walking, blocking off all emotions to keep from crying. It was a skill he had developed after he lost all of his family.
Rachel smiled and said, "Well I'm a confusing person, O man of steal." Rachel's eyes sparkled playfully as she looked into Kashi's eyes.

Eiri laughed inside her head, a few people had tried to take revenge on her. "hn? on who?" she was still letting her curiosity through, it made her wonder why.
