While Deidra was inside mulling over her thoughts, her sister was outside pacing the darkest part of the garden she could find. In the background a large marble fountain with statues made to resemble water nymphs trickled steadily and did little to soothe Dawn's nerves. She stopped pacing after a few minutes and looked over past the fountain where a small teahouse loomed in the shadows of the willows. "I know you're watching me. I have excellent hearing." she called out.
Her voice echoed and came back to her but there was no reply and she didn't expect one.

After a few moments, Bane's eyes glittered from atop the fountain as he leaned against one of the nymphs. He folded his arms across his chest and regarded her in silence.

DarkLadyYuri Deidra smirked darkly and a few more bottles of wine appeared on the table. She sat back in her chair and looked over the table at Tasuki. "And you think a half-breed can't handle her alcohol?" She leaned forward and gave Tasuki a seductive grin. "I have a proposition for you, my dear. Let's play a game. The object of the game is one person tells the other a story they have about their childhood and the other person has to guess if the story is true or not. If the listener guesses wrong, they have to take a drink from the bottle." She swirled her bottle in her hands and listened as the liquid splashed around in the bottle. "Do you accept or will you chicken out?" Deidra knew she was sounding childish with her challenge but inside she was curious about her visitor. She wanted to know him more than she did now. She shook her head to shake the thoughts away and sat back in her chair, looking down at the label on the bottle.

Mercenary Paladin Alright, fine. I wasn't saying you couldn't hold your licquor, just that you couldn't hold it as well as me. But you're on. Deidra looked up and smiled, her blue eye flashing. "Great." she set her bottle on the table and set her feet back on the floor. "Well...I guess since I asked you to join in the fun, I suppose I could go first." She pursed her lips thoughtfully as she tried to think of a story. Then she grinned. "Ok. When I was a little girl and right before bedtime, my father would tell Dawn and I old stories about a few haunted sites in the forest. Well..one night after he told us one about two lost lovers. A knight who died of a broken heart and a mortal princess who was killed by a pack of wolves when she went to meet him one night by the shores of the lake. Naturally I was intrigued by spooky stories and wanted to see what the knight looked like, while Dawn was more interested in us staying away from that sort of thing. So later that night, I snuck outside and made my way towards the spot dad had described where the lovers were haunting. I sat there and waited and waited until I think around two in the morning. I was about to give up when I heard a sound like hoofbeats. Then I saw him. The knight in black armor. He was riding a completely midnight black steed with glowing red eyes and carried a large sword in one hand. I didn't stand there to wait to see what would happen and as I turned to run back to the house, I heard a very pretty voice singing. I looked and saw a beautiful woman wearing a whilte but bloody dress floating towards me. I screamed and ran and didn't stop running I was safely inside and in bed." She stopped and smiled at Tasuki. "What do you think? True or false?"

Dawn glared at him and turned away to look over the garden. "So where are you from and why are you here?" She folded her arms across her chest and turned to face him.

There was a loud crackling almost like glass shattering and before Dawn's eyes, the water in the fountain turned to ice allowing Bane to easily step down from his perch and approach her, stopping less than three feet away from her.

Dawn tensed visibly when he drew near, but she didn't look away nor back down. "And why don't you ever talk? Are you mute or just stubborn? All of this so-called protection you think you are giving me is starting to get on my nerves-" She cut off when he held up a hand to silence her.

Dawn squinted and examined the part of the neck he revealed and coiled back in horror. In the center of Bane's neck was a large scar where a good portion of his nack had been ripped off and had managed to heal after a long time. He covered his neck back up and shook his head.

She took a deep breath and looked up at him, her anger disappearing to be replaced with shame.

That's interesting...* Sage stopped a bit, giving a soft snort he looked down at Genju, "Lucky you have better senses so whats on the radar this time?"Alex finally seemed to resign herself to be carried, and peered around as if she would be able to see what Genju found so interesting. "I thought trickters liked to make the trouble not find it" she mused allowed causing Sage to chuckle slightly.
