Pheasura smiled at the call of a familar voice, "Yes, elf?" she asked. She was not at all surprised by magic....after all she could throw her voice as well.

"Gold? Heavens no...I have plenty of the stuff down in my vault, what would I want to bury more of it in the bottom of a lake for? No thieves around here except for me, Darius, and Nelphean...so I'm not hiding it from anyone either. Not gold, just a sentimental treasure really." Sitting down on the grass, next to Kasis, Eclipse following suit, she unlatched the box and opened it it, showing it's contents to Kasis. Nothing in there, except for royal purple velvet with a pure silver flute nestled in the material. "See."

"Elf?" Nelphean said, "Indeed tis an elf, sorry about the audio, but it felt like you were ignoring me." Nelphean said. He was used to being ignored, and intentionally ignored, but if he moved, he felt Pheaura would walk though him.
"How are you? You look, 'flighty'..." Nelphean said coyly.

Excitement filled Kasis' mind and his fantasies started to run wild. Even though he looked much more mature, his mind was still childish and curious. He thought of a fantastical artifact that would unlock a great power, an egg of a mystical creature, or something ancient that held secrets that no one else would know!
But as the latch came loose and the lid flew open his excitement turned more into curiosity. He looked at the flute.
"Er... does it have special powers or anything? Why did you bury it down there?"

"No. No deceiving appearance to a great item of power. It is what it is and nothing more; A silver flute with an inscription." She closed and latched it again, setting the box on the ground. "I got it from a man named Coban shortly after I came here and I buried it down there because I was angry, as it reminded me of all the people of the bloodline here in the manor that had died. I put it down there when Jaxom, the last one left, died." Aura leaned back on her hands.

Members of the bloodline? When they died? Jaxom? Did she kill them? Is that how she aquired the house!? Kasis looked at Aura's innocent face and smile. And then at Eclipse. It was throughly possible but then again very unlikely.
He eyed the box again and a question arose. "Do you play?"

Nelphean stared blankly... "Well, I have two students?" He shruged. "You know how impossible these women are, they are thousnads of years old... I will live that long, especially since my life expectancy increased from 130 years to eternal..." I do not miss home
Nelphean shook his head. "Bastet plays games with me, but other than that I am a wall flower."

She nodded softly. "Yes. Though I haven't in years now. I don't even know if I remember how to."
"Please, you remember every item you have ever stolen, and you think you've forgotten how to play? I don't think so."
Aura laughed. "Must you contradict me." She then turned her attention to Kasis again. "I used to play all the time...a good distraction from one's negative feelings really, I suppose that's why I was given it in the first place."

"Shrug." Nel said. "SOmetimes we don't get to choose our lot in life. I am here a few thousand years too late to make any real impact on these ancient beauties. My words are meaningless, my actions moreso." Nelphean shruged. "Too much fear and loathing, old pains, and aches of which I know nothing, becasue i am new here."
"All I can do is continue to be who I am, or change that too."
"Was he fun?" Nelphean changed the subject. No point dwelling on those issues. Life is a ever flowing continuum, no point on dwelling on the present. That would be, un-elfish.

"It would be lovely for you to play. It has been quite a while since I've heard any real life music. Most of them have been on records or from my tribe's awful singing." He cringed as the sour notes from his memories started to ring in his head.

She laughed at the face he made. "No,Coban gave it to me. He was the first one here in this place, he built it from the floors up, and sort of like my adoptive father...even though you can't technically adopt an adult, but you know what I mean. It was a 'birthday'," she made quote marks in the air with her hands at the word, "gift." Raising a hand to her face, she brushed a few strands of still wet loose hair from her eyes. "Maybe I will see if I can play again soon." Aura paused for a moment then looked to Kasis with an almost knowing smile. His curiousness of all the things she was offhandedly mentioning was noticeable.

Pheaura sunk down in the chair as the smile on her face broadened, "Of course he was. I am lucky to have a man like him, though he will die before I do. You are very intriguing Nel, I have to say that if I didn't have Ryo, the thought of you and me may cross my mind."
