She stared at her foot. Pale and dirty -- covered with mud and moss from the area around the river with tiny cuts about her heel from running through the forest. Danty and fragile, almost sick-looking even. A delicate finger, just as pale as her foot, reached out and began to trace the deep blue veins that were so visible.

A short while ago she had closed her eyes for a moment, however she opened them to the absence of the ranger who had sat before her. There was a lost feeling, a strange sort of confusion, but nothing more. Her head lowered, her arm hooking Shouyin's, and her finger began to follow the many paths of veins in her mud-caked foot.

Seles was silent. He did not speak a word, if it could actually be called speaking. He simply moved along, leaving his passengers in a deep, gloomy quiet as he thought.

*he took his time walking north, still feeling tired and a little shaken fom the fall. He hadn't been in this section of the forest for a long time, and it was nice to see some different things for once*

*after walking for a few more hours, he was nearing the edge of the forest. He decided to pause for a little and sat down at the foot of a tree to rest*

*he woke up with a snap. He didn't even realise when he fell asleep, but it wan nearing twilight. He wasn't hungry when he got up. He continued north, slightly slower in the dying light. He'd have to light a torch if it was cloudy...*

*Gord kept a sharp eye now that night had fallen. He was thankful that there were plenty of stars out so he could see fairly well, all things considered. He turned his head at the snap of a twig nearby. He crouched and listened, one hand on his sword. He thought he heard footsteps....*

it had been a while since he had actually senn a forrest so he decides to take a look, he immediatly senses lifeforms somewhere near, so he did what he had been forced to do as a child. hide from everyone absolutely no one had ever understood him why should they start now even with his shard? what differance did it make? he thought as he scurried up the nearest tree.

Skree looked around causally as he walked through the forest. Silently taking in the scenery as he went, he could not remember the last time he had a chance to simply relax like this, and he probably would not get the chance to do it again anytime soon.

As he walked, he continued to look around at his surroundings and sighed. He was begining to grow bored. Relaxing had it's perks, but it wasn't very interesting and there didn't seem to be anyone or anything around to remedy this problem.

His bordem was begining to become unbearable. Looking around one final time he uncaped his wings and took to the sky heading north.

*Karatsu exits the forest haven. And as soon as he does he gets hit with the feeling of a mix of different kinds of energys. It overwhelms him and he drops to his knees.* "What is this?!" *Then he realized that he had crossed through a magical barrier, and he knew that what he was feeling was all the energys that the barrier was keeping out.* "That's a strong barrier to be keeping all this out... I wonder what generates it..." *Karatsu stands up, shakes of the left-over tension and continues on.*

*Karatsu contiued on his way, hoping that someone would show up soon. He was getting kinda bored.* "Hello?" he called "Anybody out there!?"

*Almost as in response to his call, Karatsu noticed an odd tangle of energy coming from the north. It was very powerful and extremely hostile. Karatsu was intrigued.* "Alright! Something to do!"

*As Karatsu was approaching the site where the energy was something strange happened... the energy disappered and was replaced by a slight ripple in the fabric of reality, only for a second, and then it was gone. With all intrest peaked now, karatsu broke out into a run towards the area where he though the ripple came from.*

*Karatsu was nearing his destionation, and as he came closer he could feel a small trace of an ancient energy, a primal energy, and it wasn't coming from any humanoid, it was coming from the surrounding area.* "What is this?" karatsu thought "This is such a deep energy... and it's so old! I want to know what this is!" *Karatsu's pace became even quicker as his intrest had been peaked again.* ((Karatsu exits the forest and enters the ruined druid temple.))

Max pulled herself from the black portal and dropped to the ground soundlessly. As she stood up the protal behind her disappered and she looked around the empty forest. It held such a mystery in its darkness, but more so than that a strange melody she could always hear, but could never find the source of.

Still looking around she found that she was near a river of somesort, a perfect spot to find animals whenever they came to get a drink. She took in a deep breath of the forest air, she could smell all the animals that were around. Blood of the animals, and soul of some trees, should keep her going for a while.

She started out by gaining some of her energy back from the trees, walking through the woods, til she found the right kind of soul, the kind she happened to be looking for in a cluster. She took off her glove carefully and placed the black and white patterned hand against the tree. The palm of her hand held a large 'X' scar upon it, which opened up and took the soul of the tree in a matter of seconds. The diamond shaped jem that was embedded in the back of her hand, glowed green for a moment then disappered. She closed her eyes and kept doing this until her soul hunger was satisfied, but her blood hunger had yet to be quenched. 'What kind of monster am I,' she thought as she slipped her glove back on and turned around heading towards the river again, her slightly split tounge running over her now overly long canines.
