The tonsils act as a filter against disease organisms. However, they often become a site of infection, a condition known as tonsillitis, and sometimes become enlarged. This condition is more prevalent during childhood, since tonsil tissue tends to regress with age. Removal of the tonsils is sometimes advised if frequent inflammation poses a threat to health.

It didn't say anything about changing voice. And then my mom said something about Buddhists believing in keeping the body as is and not removing parts of it, but I've never heard of that. I would ask one of my Buddhist friends about that, but she moved.

Wow, this thread has been dead for over a month. eek

Well, I recently saw scans from the October issue of FOOL'S MATE. And it looks like Diru actually did play 5 new songs at the August 1st show. However, there weren't any names to the songs, so I'm wondering how people who are posting links to audio clips have titles for them.

My Japanese is still as horrible as ever, but I saw mention of the Showcase Tour back in March and their European concerts back in July. Kaoru did tell the Japanese fans that the then new song they played at those concerts wasn't Ryoujoku no Ame, so that part was probably just talking about where they played that song originally.

And someone said that Kaoru stated there would be one more single before the new album came out. Gah, we'll already know what the whole album sounds like before it comes out. Unless most of those songs are just released as singles and not put on the next album.

Oh well, it just means that a new album is going to be coming out soon. whee

EDIT

NEW SINGLE. Whee~~~
"Agitated Screams of Maggots" is coming out on November 15. Heh heh, such a strange name for a song.
No cover art as of yet, but there is a setlist up.

Agitated Screams of Maggots
Kodoku ni Shisu, Yue ni Kodoku (live)
Spilled Milk (live)
OBSCURE (live)
Live tracks were taken from July 31/August 1 at the Nippon Budokan.

RANDOMNESS BELOW

There's a Japanese movie called 'Death Trance' which uses a couple songs by Dir en grey. Here's a list of the songs used in the movie:

Deity
The III D Empire
Increase Blue
Clever Sleazoid

And I'm sure that everyone knows by now that the anime 'Baki the Grappler' uses the song "CHILD PREY" as its opening theme. And there's also another movie (can't read the kanji) that uses "Audrey" as its ending theme.

Since I'm such a huge whore for Diru, I'll probably watch them just to see what kind of scenes they set the songs to. xp

`Agitated screams of maggots` sounds gay. I read about it in a magazine article down here for the first time...And, for the first time in my Dir en grey liking...I wasn`t excited. This boys and girls is cause for worry.

It pisses me off that I can`t ever find Dir en grey when I go to Karaoke. I`d love to be able to sing something of theirs biggrin

Actually, no.

My friends and I are always making fun of emo kids, goths, and all the melodramatics at our school. So I thought it would be cool to act like that even if just for once.

[tangent]

Heck, I was doing something similar to this last night with my dad while we were watching Jeopardy. We were talking to each other in our fake-British-accent!Madonna voices and talking about "negro boys". Hillarious if you were there, kind of racist sounding if you weren't.

[/tangent]

Plus, I wanted to see who read it and what their reactions would be like.

My friends on LJ never comment on my entries and my friends on MySpace never comment on my page (except for one friend that I practice French with).

Bah, nothing happened and you're the only person to make a comment.

Either that or none of my friends really got what I was talking about. Damn... xp

SPAM

Speaking of spam, I ate it for the first time on Saturday at Japanese school.

3nodding

All of my classmates are in love with spam musubi so they brought some for our potluck.

I'm just relieved that there was other food there. sweatdrop

I`ve never tried Spam. It`s weird that they love it but, then again, the Japanese eat some weird things :`D;
