*Maggie tightens her arms around him at the words. She'd been so afraid she might never hear them from him again. A few tears escape to slide down her cheeks, from the pain she feels for him, from the relief of having his arms around her again.*

*Maggie returns the embrace. Part of her wants to ask him... but it can wait. And really, in a way, she already knows. It's his mother. She nods her head, pulling back just enough to see him. She brushes his hair back from his face, then lets her hand rest against his cheek, promising quietly* I'll be here.

*Maggie smiles up at him softly, though she's worried for him still* I'm glad that . . *but she cuts off, seeing that she's starting to fade out. She looks at him almost apologetically, and hurries to try to tell him once more* I love ye, I . . *and then she's gone*

*He walks over to where Maggie dropped her basket. Picking it up, he sets it on the chair he was sitting in. He takes a step back and sways. It's too much, everything that's happened. When was the last time he actually slept in a bed?*
*He thinks about going to his room and lying down for even a few minutes, but he knows that when he wakes up, he'll have to go back to the hospital, to his mother and the doctors*
I want it to be over now.... *he decides not to prolong the situation any longer*
*He walks to the main room, exits through the door and returns to his own time*

*Mel strolls in with a bottle of wine and an empty glass. She sets them down atop the nearest of the study tables and moves on to peruse the bookshelves*
*After some deliberation, she selects a thick, leatherbound tome* Hmmm . . . what have we here? *skimming through it, she makes her way back to the table. Without even glancing up, she pours the wine into her glass, takes a sip and a seat, quite content to read for a while*

:::Cora emerges from the dark hallway, into a slightly more lit up library. The wine glass followed her loyaly between her fingers. With the intent of studying the english language, she was mostly concerned with thinking up what information souce she would look for first, but her thoughts were disturbed at the sight of someone new:::
Oh..! Hello, citizen... :::She approached with caution, and didn't even notice that she felt like she had to be careful::::
