Carmena continued to sing, all the while her mind thinking of some way out of this mess. She was on the notes now, hitting every single one. Now, she was more worried about getting away from the thing, somehow. Did she know a lullaby of some sort? She racked her brain for one as she sang, part of her hoping someone would show up and get this thing away from her.

The creature screeched and stretched it's clawed hand towards Carmena, then it jerked suddenly and the blade of a sword drove through it's neck and out the other side, driving into the stone, thick, dark blood gushing out across the floor as the beast shuddered then fell still.

Carmena squealed at the sight of the dark blood, quickly growing quesy.

A clawed red hand reached down and grabbed the creature, lifting it and throwing it out the window. Drael crouched down, four green eyes looking at Carmena, "Are you well?" He asked.

Carmena looked at Drael quietly, calming slightly as he spoke. "I'm not hurt...just...a little surprised, is all." She said softly, still shaking. Apparently her hiding place had not been good enough, and she could not think of a single other one.

"Stay here, I won't let anyone hurt you." Drael said firmly, standing back up from the floor.

Drael stepped back to the window, narrowing his eyes as he examined the battle, it was going well, but the ones attacking....they were daemons.

Carmena did not know what was going on; she was just freaked by there being battles at all. Her homeland had never had fighting...never. At least, none she was exposed to. She was quivering, staring at the blood that had been left behind.

Drael stepped up onto the balcony and began to chant, gesturing with his free hand as he gathered power for his spell.

Carmena blinked as she could hear Drael's chant. She wondered what he was doing out there.

Drael held his hand out of the window, towards the battle, finishing his chant with a single word, crimson fire danced around his head and flared out in a ray that lashed out at the nearest hostile daemon, bouncing from one to the next, wreathing the enemies in Daemon-Flame, covering each one in his magic spell, he closed his hand slowly, the daemons screeching and roaring as they were slowly crushed by his spell.

Carmena shuddered as she heard the screams, freaked out by the entire thing. It was frightening to her to hear everything around her; part of her hoped this was not a common thing.

The daemons screeched and screamed but that soon faded as they fell apart and Drael let his spell fade, dropping their remains to the floor. He frowned slightly then turned back, crouching to look at Carmena once more, "It is safe now."

"I-It is?" Carmena said, her voice sounding rather nervous. She moved out of the underneath of the bed, shivering quietly.
